MOROCCO TRAVEL DOCUMENTARY | The Grand Moroccan Roadtrip

► ITINERARY + GPS TRACKS -
► SUPPORT - 'Buy us a refill of diesel' -

Follow us on our Grand Moroccan Roadtrip!
From sweeping sand dunes to desolate highways of emptiness, bustling cities, and snow-covered peaks, we explored Morocco from north to south and east to west. Driving more than 10,000 km in eight weeks, our roadtrip included many unforgettable adventures. Watch as we explore remote landscapes, climb high peaks, battle breath-taking dust-topias (double pun, yeah!), and navigate the hectic bustle of Morocco’s major cities.

Thank you:
A big THANK YOU goes to Saloua Dabhi who helped tremendously with pronouncing Moroccan names. Additionally, we’d like to thank Christina Neumann ( for her insights into correctly identifying many bird species. And, of course, a big thank you to La Sultana ( for welcoming us to both of their wonderful properties.

Real Talk:
Despite our attempt at keeping our Morocco Travel Documentary as authentic as possible, you are still watching a highlight reel. When editing, we naturally tend to choose the most exciting videos. What you don’t see are the hours spent driving through less spectacular landscapes or some of the unpleasant challenges we faced.

Did we like everything about Morocco?
Far from it. As mentioned in the video, the huge amount of trash definitely dampened our experience. Additionally, we were surprised by the sheer number of begging children. During our trip, we counted a minimum of 500 children asking us for money or sweets. While Morocco undoubtedly has to combat poverty, this behavior often seemed less dictated by need and more by opportunity. Stopping and giving is an individual choice, of course, but when we didn’t we were regularly flipped off, kicked after, or hurled insults at.
In general, though, we perceived most Moroccans as extremely friendly and helpful. The best example is the three local men who selflessly helped us to change our ruptured tire. We cannot thank them enough.

Full Disclosure:
This trip was entirely self-funded. However, we did enjoy a two-night complimentary stay at La Sultana Oualidia and a two-night complimentary stay at La Sultana Marrakech.

Explore FAROE ISLANDS/ Kazma

/// English subtitles available ///
Visit the Faroe Islands and explore Europe's best kept secret.
The World's most appealing Destination The islands received top marks for its preservation of nature, historic architecture and national pride.

Less is more
The lesson to be learned from the Faroe Islands is quality over quantity. National Geographic named the archipelago the best island destination of 2015, citing its commitment to maintaining its traditions and way of life without standing in the way of progress. The Faroese haven't bowed to the pressure of mass tourism, although it's the islands' second largest industry, and visitors are expected to endure stormy seas and unpredictable weather just as the locals would. Careful maintenance of a traditional lifestyle and consequent dedication to sustainability are things to admire in this cluster of islands in the Atlantic.

Kamil Bartošek (KAZMA)
Most of the people are postponing their plans for life, while it’s slipping through their fingers. When there is less work, when there is more money, when kids grow up, when we pay a mortgage, when we buy all of the rubbish we need or when it's time. But the world is not waiting for anyone and the person you think you are, will die one day. Remember that when your life will be asking you, whether you’ll go for it or not, do it and go at full throttle. Because there is not much to be missed, except for time. I cannot tell you what will happen, but I know for sure that if you do not try, nothing will happen at all. So live and risk everything. Because this is life and there’s nothing more left here for you.

Chris Burkard: The joy of surfing in ice-cold water

Anything that is worth pursuing is going to require us to suffer, just a little bit, says surf photographer Chris Burkard, as he explains his obsession with the coldest, choppiest, most isolated beaches on earth. With jawdropping photos and stories of places few humans have ever seen — much less surfed — he draws us into his personal crusade against the mundane.

How 16 different dialects around The Faroe Islands sound when they speak english

How 16 different dialects around The Faroe Islands sound when they speak english.

Faroese is one of the smallest languages in the World. Yet there are there few if any language which have more dialects compared to the number of people who speak the language.

On this video you can hear 16 people representing 16 dialects around The Faroe Islands trying to persuade you to visit their town or village. Localpatriotism is firm in The Faroe Islands. On the video you can see locations of the villages, towns and islands on the Map of The Faroe Islands and photos from the villages, towns and islands represented in the video.

The dialects are stressed extra much when the 16 people say the name of their local town, village or island.

Performed and soundrecorded by Heri Simonsen from Tórshavn.

The film is produced end edited by Árni Laksáfoss Simonsen from Argir.

This film is a tribute to the richness and treasure of dialects we have in The Faroe Islands. A treasure that hopefully will be preserved in the Future.

NAJLEPSZE AUTA 4X4 –

Zdjęcia/Montaż/Dron – Kuba Witek
Muzyka – Szatt
____________________________
Skończyłem studia w Wielkiej Brytanii na University of Central Lancashire w Preston.

Uwielbiam Północ. Zwiedzałem Norwegię i Szwecję.

Komercyjne projekty filmowe i fotograficzne realizowałem m.in. w Nowym Jorku, Berlinie, Paryżu, Reykjaviku lub Oslo.

Uczestniczyłem w wymianach młodzieżowych, wolontariatach i innych inicjatywach pozarządowych.

RUCH LODU | Film dokumentalny | Arktyka | Spitsbergen | Zmiany klimatu

Atomic Pilgrimage: Ghost Towns, Nuclear Relics, and Lost Civilizations on the Road to Trinity Site

This is a video travelogue about a 40-day, 40-night road trip to the Trinity Site, where the first atomic bomb in history was detonated in the summer of 1945. It goes much farther than that, covering many other atomic destinations and driving deep into the natural and social history of the American southwest. If you'd like to see a simulated nuclear missile launch, a forest of stone pillars, Oregon's only geyser, and a 60-foot tall neon cowboy all in the same video, this would likely be your jam. The trip was done over 6500 miles in a 1973 Volkswagen bus in the spring of 2019.

Once she rode with her horse Little Uncle through the city gate of Visby: Pippi Longstocking aka Inger Nilsson. For Wunderschön she came back to Gotland, where she stood for the famous films about 50 years ago in front of the camera. Sweden's favorite holiday island is the sunniest region in the country and offers beautiful beaches. Andrea Grießmann learns Viking chess, visits a sheep farmer, swims in the Blue Lagoon, a former limestone quarry, and follows in the footsteps of the great filmmaker Ingmar Bergman on Gotland's neighboring island of Fårö.

Draken Harald Hårfagre - The construction of a Viking Dragon Ship

Dragon ships were large longships that had carved heads of dragons and other magical beings mounted on their bow. This video shows some glances from the construction of such a ship: Draken Harald Hårfagre. We are using the best of the old Norwegian clinker-building tradition, and combining this with knowledge obtained from archaeological material, Norse literature etc. Our aim is to recreate a ship with superb seaworthiness - as described in the Old Norse sagas.

Vanlife Vlog: Midges Attach and a Trip on Anthrax Island

We spent quite a while in the Torridon valley as it's such a magic location where to be.

Surrounded in the morning by curious deer, indeed a great way to wake up.

The only and biggest problem: midges. One morning Ziggy went out for 20 seconds and get back inside the van with a storm! Not a nice way to wake up for sure!

We then met again with Andy and Lisa, and with the inflatable boat we step on Gruinard island aka Anthrax Island.

It was use back in the days for Anthrax experiment on nature and animals.

Enjoy.

RESTAURANT MOMENT - DENMARK, RØNDE

Restaurant Moment unifies gastronomy, aesthetics and sustainability. They show how care for nature and the use of local resources can be a general principle with regards to food, drinks, produce, building, and not least the synergy between them.

In the kitchen, they wish to show the true potential of nature in food. They are highly oriented towards the season and the current Moment – and they “prolong” seasons, preserving the abundance of nature when it’s there. This way, their food – as well as the entire atmosphere of the restaurant – changes with the season and weather – but is equally interesting and experimenting all year.
