LA JOLLA, CALIFORNIA: LA JOLLA COVE, CHILDREN'S POOL, SUNNY JIM'S SEA CAVE! (4K)
La Jolla is not only one of the most beautiful places in San Diego, but in my opinion, it's one of the most beautiful places on the entire California coast. I especially love La Jolla Cove. It has a nice beach that reminds you of the Mediterranean, and it's loved by humans and marine life alike. The snorkeling here is great, as you will see some footage I took last time I was here, when seals swam right by me. Across the water you will see La Jolla Shores, where I snorkeled with Leopard Sharks. Not far from La Jolla Cove is the Children's Pool, which normally has children swimming there because of the lack of big waves, but on this day, there were some uninvited locals-seals, sea lions, pelicans, and sea gulls. Our last stop took us to the Cave Store, where inside, you can walk down 145 steps into Sunny Jim's Sea Cave, which was built in 1902 and was used for bootlegging. As we leave La Jolla, we drive through the Village of La Jolla, which feature bars, restaurants, hotels, shops, and more.

Jaycation visits La Jolla Shores in La Jolla, California. Growing up La Jolla Shores was the closest beach to my house, only about 15 minutes by car! La Jolla Shores is a great place for a picnic, to lay out on the beach, go body boarding, surfing, kayaking or go on a nice stroll or walk!
There are also a few great places to visit that may be hidden gems to the normal visitor. We visit a few of those spots like Scripps Pier, Birch Aquarium, Scripps Trail and La Jolla Shores Park!
We also hop on my Electric Longboard and cruise around the La Jolla Shores Neighborhood and check out a few places to eat like Shorehouse Kitchen, Galaxy Tacos and the famous and swanky Marine Room!

Went down to La Jolla, CA in San Diego and rented some kayaks with my daughter and wife. I brought down some snorkeling gear and dove the caves by myself for a little. Really cool place and highly recommended. If you’re not an experienced waterman they also have tours you can book in the town.

Kayaking Tour La Jolla San Diego | What to Expect
Kayak to the seven caves of La Jolla!
I normally do not post on the major holidays, but I wanted to share a POV experience of kayaking in La Jolla. Make sure you take your camera and/or phone to get some awesome shots of the ocean, caves, and maybe a sea lion or two.
If you are taking a nicer camera, I recommend you invest in a Sea to Summit Big River Dry Bag - I use mine all the time and it also floats which helps everything stay dry.
The La Jolla kayak tour is a favorite of both locals and San Diego visitors alike. Explore beautiful sea cliffs and caves as you glide through the La Jolla Ecological Reserve filled with marine life. Paddle to all seven caves including Sunny Jim’s Cave, the Arch Cave, the Clams’ Cave and other sea caves for amazing close-ups of sandstone formations. Witness sea lions, garibaldi, leopard sharks, shovelnose guitarfish (rock on, man) and even the occasional dolphin on this sought-after La Jolla kayak tour.

Exploring caves in La Jolla CA In 4K Shopping Cart, Arch, Sunny Jim, and Clam’s caves.
Tagalong as my friend and I explore four of the seven famous caves in La Jolla California. The most famous of them all, Sunny Jim’s was a cave built back in the prohibition days, that was used to smuggle whiskey, Opium, and even people looking to enter the united states from the ocean, to the cave, and up a stairwell that was carved out of the rock, that leads to the basement of a house on the cliff. Today, that house is now a tourist attraction, “The cave store” with guided tours bringing you from the house, down the stairwell into the cave. You can even see some of the people on the tour as I enter the cave from the water. I hope you enjoy!
