We went to the Salzwelten to explore the Hallstatt Skywalk - observation deck and also walked around the outside of the Salt Mine in the heavy snow. Because unfortunitly It was too late to go inside the Mine.
And to be able to see the Hallstatt from the Skywalk was amazingly beautiful and fantastic especiality in the heavey snow weather. This spectacular viewing platform sits high above Hallstatt and offers an idyllic panoramic view of Lake Hallstatt and the breathtaking alpine landscape ranging from the Sarstein to the Plassen mountains.
Did you know that the Hallstatt Salt Mine Is the Oldest Salt Mine In The World dating back 7,000 years? The history of the town of Hallstatt is inextricably interwoven with the history of salt mining which, extending back some 7,000 years, is even a good bit older than the famous UNESCO World Heritage-listed town itself.
If you travel to Austria, be sure to visit this beautiful area. During your visit to the Salzwelten in Hallstatt, The oldest salt mine on Earth, we would greatly recommend a tour to the Hallstatt Sky Walk.

Welcome and welcome back to Europeify! I hope you all are doing great and staying safe.
In This video, We will see how to reach one of the most beautiful villages in the world, Hallstatt in Austria, which is one of the UNESCO World Heritage sites.
Hallstatt is a day-trip from Salzburg and even Vienna.
If you are considering a Europe trip or an Austria trip, this is a must-visit place as it is so breathtakingly beautiful.
How can you reach Hallstatt from Salzburg?
If you plan to go to the top of the Dachstein, I suggest you taking the bus trip.
1. Take Bus 150 from Salzburg HauptBahnhof (Main Train Station) to Bad Ischl. Little Tip: Sit on the left side of the bus for some scenic views ;)(15 Euros/Person upto cable car station)
2. From Bad Ischl, hop on bus 542 and in between at Gosamuhle station, switch to bus 543 (It's pretty easy as the driver will assist)
3. From Hallstatt Lahn Bus station, remain on the bus 543 to go to the cable car station for the Five-fingers viewpoint.
4. Come down to the Hallstatt village by Bus 543 and enjoy the rest of the day! (~ 3 Euros/Person)
The total duration from Salzburg to Hallstatt via Bus is around 2 hrs 15 Mins.
In the Hallstatt village, below are the things to do:
1. There's skull house, that we couldn't visit. Please do check out.
2. Take a walk through the village
3. Rent a boat and enjoy the view of Hallstatt from the water.
4. Go to the famous point for the beautiful backdrop of the catholic church of Hallstatt.
There's also a salt mine that you can visit by taking a cable car ride from the Hallstatt bus station.

Hallstatt - UNESCO World Heritage region in 4K, Austria
Hallstatt to malownicze miasteczko w Górnej Austrii, położone w Alpach Salzburskich pomiędzy górą Salzberg a jeziorem Halsztackim (Hallstättersee). Stanowi ono jeden z najważniejszych ośrodków turystycznych regionu Salzkammergut. Jeszcze do niedawna do Hallstatt można było się dostać jedynie pieszo lub łodzią od strony jeziora. Obecnie powstał tu tunel drogowy, który umożliwia dojazd samochodem a także funkcjonuje linia kolejowa z dworcem usytuowanym prawie nad samym brzegiem jeziora. Po wyjściu z pociągu do centrum miasta dowozi ludzi mały stateczek, z którego pokładu podziwiać możemy bajkową wręcz panoramę miasta. Szczególną atrakcją jest tu kaplica malowanych czaszek (charnel house) oraz rejs statkiem po Hallstättersee, które pokazuję na oddzielnych filmach: , . Ciekawostką są też płaskie drzewa owocowe, które z braku miejsca przystosowane zostały do porastania murów domostw. Hallstatt od wieków narażone jest na lawiny i powodzie. Ostatnia wielka powódź miała miejsce (podobnie jak w Pasawie) w 2013 roku. W 1997 roku region Hallstatt Dachstein Salzkammergut został wpisany na Listę Światowego Dziedzictwa UNESCO.

Hallstatt, Austria is one of the oldest villages in the world. Hallstatt was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997. Hallstatt is famous for its production of salt. Hallstatt Salt Mine is the world's oldest salt mine. It is approximately 7000 years old and it is still working to this day.

A 3100-year-old wooden staircase was discovered in Hallstatt salt mine in 2002. It is the oldest wooden staircase found to date in Europe. A replica of it is displayed in front of Hallstatt Museum a few steps away from Hallstatt Market Square.
