Binondo MANILA Street Walking [4K]

Take a walk with me around Binondo Manila Philippines. I start my exploring in Sta Cruz Manila Chinatown and then cross the bridge over to the Binondo Chinatown side, and then making my way to the hustle and bustle of the Divisoria Market. This is one of my favorite areas to walk as there is always something to see. Chinatown Manila which is the oldest Chinatown in the world has amazing places to eat, so a normal day would be to grab a bite to eat, and then walk to Divisoria to get some of the things that you need, or just have your woman shop while you wander. =) Hope you enjoy this Binondo Manila Philippines walk, and I will see you again soon!

All these are found along Ongpin Street or at the Chinatown Walk.

Founded in 1594, Binondo is officially the oldest Chinatown in the world.
Binondo was created by Spanish Governor Luis Pérez Dasmariñas as a permanent settlement for Chinese immigrants who converted to Catholicism. It was across the river from the walled city of Intramuros, where the Spaniards resided. Originally it was intended to replace the Parian near Intramuros, where the Chinese were first confined. The Spanish gave a land grant for Binondo to a group of Chinese merchants and artisans in perpetuity, tax-free and with limited self-governing privileges.

ROAMING AROUND BINONDO, THE WORLD OLDEST CHINATOWN

This was filmed last July 17, 2021 before the Enhanced Community Quarantine. (ECQ). Thank you to my friend Richard Eusebio for helping me documents my first time ever visit to Binondo. Have fun and enjoy.

Binondo was the world’s oldest Chinatown. Established in 1594, Binondo is known as the world’s oldest Chinatown and is one of my most favorite districts in Manila.

The district has a whole lot of character. As soon as you enter the paifang, you’re presented with scattered red lanterns, red sidewalks, tight roads, distinct smells, and a cacophony produced by people talking, vehicles beeping, horse hooves, and Chinese songs occasionally blasting outside of open stores.
