My First Day in SOMALIA as a Tourist! (Extreme Travel) ????????

Is Somalia dangerous for tourists? What about white tourists? Watch and find out.

Today is my first day in Mogadishu, Somalia and I’m enjoying the Somali culture. I’m putting together a series of 5-10 videos to show you the REAL Somalia from my eyes, and not some drive-by tinted window footage like I’ve seen on YouTube. My feet are on the ground and I intend to interact with the locals in Mogadishu.

Is it safe for tourist to visit Mogadishu Somalia in 2023? I’m not entirely sure yet, but I can tell you that my first day was smooth and my guide and guards kept me safe.

I didn’t encounter any dangers and only got the middle finger twice. All around it was a great day for adventure travel. Keep in mind, if you are a non-black tourist then you will require official military guard every time you step outside of your hotel.

If you've enjoyed this video I have many more. Subscribe to my channel and visit me over at and say hello.

Thank you for watching!

SOMALIA: THINGS YOU SHOULD REMEMBER BEFORE VISITING SOMALIA || AVOID CULTURE CLASH

Things you should remember before visiting Somalia

If you are travelling to Somalia for the first time you must watch this video.
Visiting a new country has its cons and pros, apart from learning a new culture you can encounter many problems, these include ideological differences and language barrier.
Although Somali people are very welcoming, you can still experience some problems.
Here I’ll tell you 5 things you should keep in mind when travelling Somalia.
1. Don’t shoot camera around the police officers:
Being a country recovering from violence, it’s very sensitive for crime, and police are very aware of the people’s actions,
It may seem suspicious thing taking pictures and videos around the police stations.
2. If you are a women you should cover your body
Somalia is a Muslim country and women mostly wear hijab, to prevent yourself from culture clash you should at least cover your head.

3. Try to learn something from Somali language
The local people do not speak neither English nor Arabic so I recommend you to learn at least greeting words from Somali language, it will become easy for you to connect with people and as well as to make shopping if need.
4. Never make prank to police or acting like you are a police man
Majority of the police officers are serious men and they don’t have tolerance for such a joking actions. That’s why I am warning you to make pranks to police.
On the other hand pretending a police officer to make public pranks can get you into a trouble and you may end up in prison.
5. Don’t buy anything without bargaining
In some shops there are stingy business men who increase the price when they meet strange people.
That`s all thank you see next week.

Uncovering 10 Shocking Facts About Somalia ????

In this video, we explore the intriguing region of Puntland, an arid area located in north-east Somalia. Puntland declared itself an autonomous state in August 1998, seeking to escape the clan warfare that plagued southern Somalia. Despite its relative stability, the region has faced armed conflicts and gained global attention due to a surge in pirate attacks on international shipping in the Indian Ocean.

Puntland has become a safe haven for many Somalis displaced by violence in the south, providing them with a new hope for a better life. Unlike its neighbor, breakaway Somaliland, Puntland aspires to be part of a unified federal Somalia rather than seeking independent recognition.

The name Puntland has historical significance, as it harks back to the ancient Land of Punt, a center of trade and mystery for the ancient Egyptians.

Despite having provisions for press freedom in its charter, Puntland has faced criticism for the detention of journalists and the closure of media outlets. Radio Puntland and Puntland TV are government-run channels, and while private broadcasters are allowed, there are currently no print newspapers published in the region.

Join us on this journey of discovery as we uncover the past, present, and aspirations of Puntland, an enigmatic land filled with history and challenges. Don't forget to like, share, and subscribe for more captivating content!
