Eurowings Trip Report flying from Vienna to Hamburg on a gorgeous autumn afternoon onboard one of the newest Eurowings Airbus A320 Sharklets.
This was a truly nice flight. I just love that golden autumn afternoon light. The views of Vienna just after takeoff, under a super-thin clouds layer, were fantastic. We also enjoyed 2 nice sessions of planespotting both in Vienna airport as well as in Hamburg.

Very good afternoon from Dusseldorf! Today is the day and we finally fly with the brand new Eurowings A321neo!
We arrived by train today. The skytrain takes us from the train station to the terminal. We check our boarding pass at the counter after we go to the hugo junkers lounge.
Luckily I got a free upgrade to the more legroom seats. The hand luggage was checked before boarding. What service can Eurowings offer on board? We will see...

TRIP REPORT | Eurowings Discover [Economy Class] A320-200 | FRA-IBZ | 4Y530
Eurowings Discover is a relatively young subsidiary of Lufthansa. From its Frankfurt hub, it flies to leisure destinations all over Southern Europe and beyond, with a fleet of A320 and A330 aircraft - join me as I fly with them to the Spanish island of Ibiza.
Overall, I thought Eurowings Discover were okay. The inflight menu was pretty good, as there were lots of options to choose from and the prices were quite decent. Apparently, they also offer free inflight entertainment which can be accessed through your device, although I did not get to try it out. Other than that, the crew were friendly enough, seat comfort was fine, and unlike Lufthansa, they did not seem to charge for seat selection at check-in despite traveling on the Light fare (including exit row seats). On the other hand, I thought the inflight service was pretty slow, so perhaps this is one of the things they could work on.
As a side note, there was one funny moment that happened right after landing. The purser mistakenly announced (in German) that we had landed in Palma de Mallorca. When she realized her mistake and laughed, many passengers started laughing too!

Very good Morning from Frankfurt Airport! Tonight we fly with Discover (Eurowings Discover) to the Germans favourite Island: Mallorca!
What can we expect onbord this new Airlines of the Lufthansa Group?
But from the beginning: Our flight departs in the morning and we arrived by car. Discover Airlines flies from Terminal 1 at Frankfurt airport.
After passing security, we go straight to our gate. Our Airbus A320, which was in use for Lufthansa until two weeks ago, is already waiting there. After the boarding started on time, I went on board. This is my first time on board Discover Airlines! When I arrive at my seat, the so-called sunny seat awaits me. With this little extra, one person gets a free drink and a snack from business class every flight. What do you think about this idea? I think it's really nice. The legroom was amaizing on this flight!
After an on-time depature we started our way down to Palma de Mallorca.

Thanks for finding my video and pressing play!
A new experience for me. A first time with Eurowings, with a great value BEST fare. This is basically business class in all but name, including fast track security, lounge access, a blocked middle seat and anything you want from the menu onboard. Super value at less than £90 one-way and a real competitor to full service airlines.
I definitely recommend giving Eurowings BEST a try if you're a current customer of full service airlines - this fare rivalled even many basic economy fares for this given date.
