First Tourist to Europe during COVID-19 | 12 BIG Differences
With all the travel restrictions and bans in place, flying during Covid19 is controversial. But when a country opens for tourism, what is right and what is wrong? In this video I travel from Canada to Europe during the 2020 pandemic, and show you some of the main differences along the way. The EU had just opened non-essential travel to select nations around the world, and I took advantage of my Canadian citizenship to be one of the very first tourists to arrive in Europe during the coronavirus pandemic.
Upon landing in the European Union, I was only asked where I was going. There were no questionnaires, no temperature checks, or swabs. I wasn't even expected to self quarantine, or isolate myself upon arrival. (even though I chose to). I was a free man.

In this video I will be explaining my experience while traveling during COVID. I talk about vaccinations, masks, and any other requirements that you might need.
I was backpacking around Europe for 2 months and wanted to share as much of my experience with you guys as possible. I went from February 25th, 2022, to beginning of May 2022. This is a little over 2 months of travel where I went to Italy, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, England, France, etc.

Europe Travel Ban Explained - [Why Americans AREN'T Allowed]
Who can travel to Europe this summer? ✈️ Which countries are restricted? ???? Is your country allowed? I break it down for you in this EU Travel Update.
Beginning July 1, the E.U.’s 27 member states plus Norway, Switzerland, Iceland, and Liechtenstein will restrict travelers from countries with COVID-19 infection rates above the E.U. average of 16 cases per 100,000 people.
Every two weeks thereafter, E.U. officials will assess each country’s new rate of infection, circulation levels, and general aptitude in crisis management (I.E., contact tracing, testing, containment, treating, and reporting) to see which countries will be approved or restricted further.

Amid the rise in cases, various nations are imposing tighter COVID-19 restrictions, which is impacting travellers visiting Europe.

The passes are used to access a number of public spaces from bars and movie theaters to Christmas markets.
Here are European countries that have imposed restrictions aside from requiring Covid passes and may affect your travel plans.
2:55 The Netherlands
The Netherlands was the first European country that has imposed a partial lockdown since summer.
On 12 November, the partial lock was announced and will last at least for three weeks and include the closure of bars, restaurants, and essential shops from 8pm, with non-essential retail and services such as hairdressers to close at 6pm.

Austria announced a lockdown on unvaccinated people over the weekend.
Unvaccinated people are refused entry to restaurants, hairdressers, and events. COVID-19 tests will no longer be considered valid entry pass.

As countries around the world continue to battle against the new COVID variants, many countries have announced travel restrictions while some have started to relax certain rules.
02:02 - Belgium
Belgium's prime minister Alexander De Croo announced on 24 March that the country will go into four weeks of Easter lockdown, starting from 27 March.
02:27 - Finland
The Finnish Government recently decided to extend the country's entry restrictions until 17 April 2021.
03:02 - Germany
Germany has extended lockdowns until at least mid-April.
03:37 - Italy
In Italy, non-essential travel, as well as greater regional restrictions. The country is in a state of emergency until 30 April.
Reportedly, strict travel restrictions have been imposed on 10 red-zone regions until 6 April, which include places, such as Milan, Rome, Venice, and Naples.
Non-essential travel from most EU members will be allowed on presentation of a negative COVID test result.
04:17 - Norway
Stricter rules and recommendations apply nationwide. A timetable will be announced mid-April. Norway’s border remains closed to all non-essential travel, with some exceptions.
A negative test result is required upon entry while people from some countries are required to take a test upon arrival.
05:02 - Netherlands
Strict COVID measures have been introduced in the Netherlands owing to the spread of the COVID cases. Lockdown in the country has been extended till 20 April, which has been recently announced by the country's Prime Minister.
05:37 - Sweden
The Swedish Government has decided to extend the entry ban for all persons entering the country from non-EU/EEA countries until at least 31 May.
From 31 March, the UK will also be covered by the same entry ban as other non-EU countries, having previously been subject to tighter restrictions.
06:02 - Easter Break
With the roll-out of the vaccine, some EU countries are allowing vaccinated tourists.
