Entebbe is a city in Central Uganda. Located on a Lake Victoria peninsula, approximately 36 kilometers (22 mi) southwest of the Ugandan capital city, Kampala. Entebbe was once the seat of government for the Protectorate of Uganda prior to independence, in 1962. The city is the location of Entebbe International Airport, Uganda's largest commercial and military airport, best known for the dramatic rescue of 100 hostages kidnapped by the militant group of the PFLP-EO and Revolutionary Cells (RZ) organizations. Entebbe is also the location of State House, the official office and residence of the President of Uganda.
Entebbe in 2021 is one of the cleanest town in the country with the cleanest Roads.

But I'm a man on the move, and I had to escape. I had caught the last bus back to Entebbe before inter-district movement was banned, and now there was only one thing left to do: find a way out of the country. Maybe I could convince a boat driver on Lake Victoria to help?

Buying a Uganda ???????? Sim Card at Entebbe Airport
A complete guide for buying a local sim card for your Uganda trip on arrival at Entebbe Airport.
Inside the terminal there are two options: MTN and Airtel, outside there is also Africell. A prepaid Uganda sim card costs only about $1.5 USD and for $6 you get between 5 and 9 GB data depending on the mobile provider.

Plane Graveyard at Aero Beach Entebbe in Uganda
One of the best things to do in Entebbe is to visit the quaint Aero Beach. There is an entrance fee of 5,000 UGX ($1.5) because it houses a plane graveyard and some big statues of prominent people.
Is it worth visiting Aero Beach? Well yes, there is not much else to do in Entebbe and if you are on a layover this is a pretty cool activity.
