????ABOUT BEFRS:
Hey, I’m Sonny! I’m from the US but currently call Vietnam home. I’ve been living in Asia for 10 years and started making food and travel videos to document my experiences. People either enjoyed my undeniable charm or enjoyed watching me eat things like coconut worms, and thus Best Ever Food Review Show came to be.

I travel to different parts of the world, hunting down and documenting the most unique food each country has to offer. If you see any factual food errors in my videos, please feel free to politely let me know in the comments. I'm a huge fan of trying different, interesting foods in each country. The Unique Cultural Hunting by Hadzabe and Datoga - Africa Natural Tours LTD

Experience the Hadzabe tribe of Tanzania's Lake Eyasi region are no less fascinating or representative of African culture as the renowned Masai people. Make a booking with us through our email address: africanaturaltours2008@gmail.com, WhatsApp, or a direct call to +255764415889, or visit our website:

The Hadzabe and Datoga have consistently lived a hunter gatherer lifestyle without ever having to resort to farming, Still leading the same hunter-gatherer lifestyle that has sustained their people for generations, the Hadzabe make use of locally made poisons and ingenious camouflage to hunt.

Amongst the world’s last remaining hunter-gatherer tribes inhabiting the scrubby bushland, Hadzabe men search for food alone, and return home with golden honey, sweet fruit, or hearty wild game when, and if available. Women go out in large groups and forage for bright berries, baobab fruit, and tubers, depending on availability.

Meet the heirs of the very first people, who still have a symbiotic relationship with their environment.

Currently, we are ranked number one on TripAdvisor in the category best tour operator, with the best reviews from travelers at 95% trusted and Google reviews specializing in Kilimanjaro hiking, Tanzania wildlife safaris, Mount Meru climbing, and Zanzibar beach holiday tour packages. The Hadzabe Tribe Experiences Rice For The First Time | They're Surprised By The Taste!

100 Year Old Abandoned Village House - Bread making in chipped stone - Primitive water mill

I'm in a house built 200 years ago with a real bushcraft story where ancient people lived and is now abandoned. I made a primitive bread with this tray-shaped material made with handmade chipped stone in ancient times, it tasted incredible. It didn't taste like the breads I've ever eaten and made in my bushcraft-style camps. I should definitely try this again. I grinded corn in a primitive watermill and freshly baked my bread and ate it with melted cheese. I slept in the hammock here and it was really enjoyable.

» THE TRADITIONAL FOOD IN MADAGASCAR

1. TSENA’NY TANTSAHA TALATAMATY: Rice Porridge + Chinese Noodle Soup
ADDRESS: Talatamaty City
OPEN: 3AM - 7AM (or whenever the police shut it down)

Four miles outside of Madagascar’s capital city, Antananarivo, lies Talatamaty City. Talatamaty City is home to one of the country’s largest local morning markets, Tsena’ny Tantsaha. Sellers open up shop at 3am, selling everything from produce to fabrics. And lucky for us, the market has no shortage of food to try as well.

????RICE PORRIDGE: Zebu (Malagasy cattle) and sausage are mixed with leaves, ginger, special Malagasy rice, porridge and spices.

????CHINESE NOODLE DISH: Pasta, macaroni, potato, mayonnaise and zebu skin.
----
2. TALATA VOLON’ONDRY: Sausage + Koba
ADDRESS: Talata Volon’ondry
OPEN: Varies

Talata Volon’ondry is a village located just outside of Antananarivo. The village is known for producing sausage and Madagascar’s national snack, koba.

????SAUSAGE: There are typically two types of sausage being sold - zebu sausage and a halal style potato sausage. This snack is frequently accompanied by local rum.

????????KOBA: Lay out banana leaf spines with banana leaves on top. Add a layer of rice flour to prevent the koba mixture from sticking to the banana leaves. Then add the koba mixture, a combination of crushed raw peanuts and sugar. Wrap it all up in the banana leaves and allow it to cook in a bit of water for 3 days.

Koba is beloved across Madagascar, primarily sold on the street or to people in their cars as they drive through a city. The fuel from the ingredients gives people energy and helps them stay full even when walking long distances without and source of food along the way.
????PRICE: Sausage .14 USD/500 MGA | Koba .50 USD/1,756 MGA

Lamb RIBS Cooked in Tandoor!! WILDERNESS FOOD in Rural Azerbaijan!!

QAMARVAN, AZERBAIJAN - Welcome to Qamarvan, a small village in the mountains of Azerbaijan and home to Tavakkul from @WILDERNESSCOOKING. They make amazing nature oriented food videos cooking outdoors. And today Tavakkul is cooking a whole lamb two ways - part is on a hot stone over fire and with the ribs he’s cooking them in a tandir. It’s going to be an incredible day of some of the best lamb on earth! #Azerbaijan #Food #ExperienceAzerbaijan

Thank you to:
Wilderness Cooking:
reAzerbaijan:
Adnan:

Qamarvan is a beautiful location, set in a valley surrounded by some of the highest mountains in Azerbaijan. It’s green, lush, and home to some of the best lambs that graze naturally and organic food. Wilderness Cooking is an outdoor cooking show that specializes in natural foods, organic cooking and oftentimes whole animals. What I love about this is how therapeutic their cooking is. Nothing is rushed and the sounds are kept natural.

Today, Tavakkul is cooking a whole lamb as fresh as possible. He has a number of amazing cooking techniques around the yard and today he’s cooking half the lamb on a fire hot stone and the other goes into the mud tandir oven. He seasoned the meat with salt and pepper. For the hot stone the trick was the amount of lamb fat he melted down to almost confit the lamb in its own dripping fat. For the tandir lamb, it was cooked then basted with sour plum sauce. Let me tell you, not only does Tavakkul’s cooking look good, but it’s insanely tasty. Everything is saturated with as much lamb fat as possible giving it the maximum amount of flavor.

It was an incredible day, the food was delicious, and the Azerbaijani hospitality was even better.

Tavakkul does have a restaurant in Qamarvan that’s call Qaya Restaurant that you can definitely check out when you’re in the area to get some amazing local Azerbaijani food.

Thank you again to Adnan from reAzerbaijan for arranging my trip to Azerbaijan:

Tuktu- 7- The Ten Thousand Fishes (how to fish with a rock weir)

Alaska Extreme Store:

Learn about traditional Inuit culture from this fascinating series. This series documents cultural practices, skills, and values in Nunavut in northern Canada. Each episode focuses on a different topic, and does a good job of celebrating the skills and resourcefulness of the Inuit.

The territory of the Inuit (also called Eskimo, Inupiaq, Yupik, and other regional names) cover the northern and western regions of Alaska, northern Canada, and Greenland. The Inuit continue to live in these areas and maintain many cultural traditions while also incorporating some modern technology into their culture as well. Inuit continue to have a deep respect and spiritual connection with the land and its resources.

The Tuktu documentary series was produced by the National Film Board of Canada between 1966 and 1968.
