In Szechuan, the food is spicy, but I didn't know it could be this spicy. I had a famous Szechuan meal called Chuanchuanxiang, along with some other local delicacies, that made me unable to sleep that night. Please like :

This spicy meal was recommended to me by a local friend in Chengdu, who also loves spicy food. You choose your vegetable and meat skewers from the fridge and then give them to the server and they boil them for you in their spicy oil and serve them to you in a bowl half full of oil as well. You dip the skewers in a spice mix and WOW this was hot. REALLY HOT. EXTREMELY HOT.

To be honest, I'm wasn't a huge fan of the other spicy foods they served here like pig brain, rabbit kidney, and rabbit head, but when in Rome...

So I tried it all and must say that they were all so-so, except for the pig brain which I didn't like. My local friend loved it all, but also admitted that it was just a little too spicy for him, although he did mention that next time he will bring me to an even spicier place!!

There was some amazing sugarcane juice from a stall outside of the restaurant which made a perfect dessert after that spicy meal and really helped cool me down.

Insane Sichuan Chinese Food!! BEST SPICY HOT POT + Dino Mala Ribs in Los Angeles!!

????️ Spicy Sichuan food tour in Greater Los Angeles!!
???????? Ultimate Thai Food Tour in LA:
???? SUBSCRIBE: Don’t miss new food videos!

Check out my friend Jing and her amazing chili oil:

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - Welcome to LA and more specifically San Gabriel Valley where we’re going to take you on an amazing spicy Chinese food tour today! I’m hanging out with my friend Jing who has a very cool story, which we’ll hear, and then we’ll be eating a Sichuan feast, Chongqing noodles, and finishing with an insanely spicy Chinese hot pot!

Chengdu Impression ( Total price - $262.71 - Jing first took us to eat at her favorite Sichuan food restaurant in LA, called Chengdu Impression in Arcadia. We ordered a huge spread of dishes including pickled mustard greens fish, frog in a chili stew, one of the best mapo tofu I’ve ever had, and dino beef ribs with a mala Sichuan rub. It was one of the best Sichuan meals I’ve had, outstanding food and quality.

Chong Qing Special Noodles ( - Price - $8.99 per bowl - Next up with headed to Chong Qing Special Noodles, a legendary noodle restaurant that serves spicy and tingly Chong Qing noodles. This is the real deal, so addictively tasty that you can’t stop.

Chong Qing YaoMei Hotpot ( - Total price - $117.18 - Finally to complete this Chinese Sichuan food tour in greater Los Angeles, we drove out to Pasadena to eat at Chong Qing YaoMei Hotpot, again another Ching Qing specialty restaurant. This was one of the best hot pots I’ve had and you can order the extra spicy - which I did - and it really was properly spicy and bursting with flavor. The meat and vegetables selection was great, was the dipping sauce.

It was an amazing day eating Sichuan and Chong Qing food within the greater LA area, and again thank you to Jing for showing us around!

China has so many amazing street foods to try, and I've been filming and documenting them for you for the past 4 years. In my opinion, the best noodle dish in China is dan dan noodles, right here in Chengdu, Sichuan. China has some of the best street food around the world, and these dan dan noodles were INSANELY GOOD, some of the best noodles in China for sure!

If you're traveling to China to eat and try different street foods, and perhaps want to learn a little bit about Chinese food and chinese cooking in the process, you need to try a few different variations of Dan Dan noodles. When they prepare the traditional Chinese dan dan noodle recipe right on the street, you can watch as they scoop the main ingredients like chili oil, soy sauce, sichuan peppercorn, and garlic right into the noodle bowl and then place the steaming hot noodles right over top. It's truly satisfying! After they put the noodles over top, they place their signature fried ground pork on top, known in Chinese as shaozi.

When your dan dan noodles arrive to your table, it is very important to mix up all the chili oil and all of the ingredients throughout. This ensures that the flavour and the hot oil gets coated onto each noodle before you take a bite. It's also quite satisfying mixing the noodles and watching the dark red oil slowly turn each noodle from white into red and silky smooth.

When you take your first bite, you'll understand why this is one of the BEST Chinese street foods you need to try. The spicy noodles are coated with an incredibly aromatic chili oil and really send you straight up to heaven! It's one of the best forms of Chinese cooking!

If you are traveling to china and want to find these famous Dan dan noodles, here are the addresses:

1) Dawanmian, AKA big noodle bowl:
Restaurant name: 大碗面店

THE SPICIEST RAMEN in Tokyo at Karashibi Kikanbo - DEVIL LEVEL Japanese Food!

Subscribe for more videos►
T-shirts for sale here►

Karashibi Miso Ramen Kikanbo is known for serving the spiciest bowl of ramen you can eat in Tokyo, Japan, and not only is it insanely spicy, you’ll also find that it’s one of the most flavorful bowls of ramen you’ll ever eat as well.

They have two shops, the one of the corner serves only Tsukemen, a style of Japanese ramen where the noodles are dry and you dip them in the sauce. For the traditional bowl of ramen, you walk around the corner to the side and that’s the shop you’re looking for.

Like most ramen restaurants in Tokyo, you enter to a vending machine and choose your bowl of ramen, pay and get a ticket. There are two different spice levels to choose from, chili 1-5 and Sichuan pepper 1-5, 5 being the strongest which is called Devil Level!

I decided to go Devil Level all the way, both chili and Sichuan pepper. Price - 1500 JPY ($13.60) for my bowl. From the top bowl, you pay an extra 200 Yen due to adding so much more spices.

First of all, the Japanese food miso ramen was outstanding, the flavor of the broth was incredibly delicious. On my first bite, what hit me hard was the Sichuan pepper, that made my mouth start tingling and made it hard for me to control my mouth or even talk! The Devil Level chili was not too bad for me, but it was the huge amount of Sichuan chili that almost did me in.

You don’t have to order Devil Level, you can order whatever level you like, but the ramen at Tokyo’s Karashibi Miso Ramen Kikanbo is sure to blow you away with insane flavor!

Karashibi Miso Ramen Kikanbo
2 Chome-10-10 Kajicho, Chiyoda, Tokyo 101-0044, Japan

Chinese Street Food Level 9000 - The Ultimate Chinese Street Food Tour in Chengdu, China! This is Sichuan Food HEAVEN!

In this Chinese Street Food Tour video, we’re bringing you in DEEP to try 4 amazing Chinese street foods in Chengdu. Here, the Sichuan food is world famous for being SPICY, Fragrant, and a little numbing as well from the Sichuan peppercorn.
Today, we’re going for a street food adventure to these 4 street food stalls to taste some delicious and spicy street foods and also a famous Sichuan dessert.

► The BEST VPNs for China:

We’re starting first thing in the morning for Chinese breakfast and going to a famous Sichuan Noodle Joint in Chengdu. This noodle restaurant is famous for its twice cooked pork noodles AKA huiguoroumian 回锅肉面.
Huiguorou twice cooked pork is a famous Sichuan food that is best in Chengdu. And to find it on top of noodles is very RARE. To me it’s like an upgraded dan dan noodle. The flavour is even stronger and more aromatic. And we were so lucky to get into the kitchen to watch the chef Mr.Yu cook his family recipe and serve it to us!

After this, we found the true Chinese Street Food LEVEL 9000 dish, the sweet sticky rice balls AKA Tangyou Guozi 糖油果子. Tangyou guozi are a very traditional Chinese street food in Chengdu that you need to try. The sticky rice balls are fried in a huge wok full of oil for about 10 minutes and then covered in a dark sweet molasses. They are crispy on the outside, gooey on the inside, and are incredibly sweet!

After this, we’re continuing our journey for another famous Chinese street food - WONTONS. And today, we got invited into the prep area of a famous wonton restaurant in a little neighbourhood of Chengdu. This restaurant serves a variety of special wontons famous in Sichuan cuisine. Watching the master chefs prepare these elegant and expensive wontons was a highlight of our Chinese street food adventure. They are most well known for their ganhaijiao chaoshou AKA spicy wontons covered in peanut and chili. You can order them dry or with stock. I prefer them dry. They also had two other amazing wonton dishes, one made with pork and another made with shrimp, pork, and crab egg, kind of like a Seafood wonton! Each of these were made with a chicken stock and served with either matsutake mushrooms or local fungus.

And to finish off our Chinese street food LEVEL 9000 Adventure - we’re going to the most famous Szechuan food of all, the Szechuan hot pot! Here in Chengdu, you can get extremely spicy and flavourful Sichuan hot pot almost anywhere. But we set out to find the most local style one and found a little place in a small neighbourhood in Chengdu. It was definitely one of the BEST hot pot restaurants in Chengdu! It was very spicy and flavourful and full of chili and Sichuan peppercorn!

All the addresses for this Chinese Street Food LEVEL 9000 Tour of Sichuan China are found in my Chengdu Food Tour Post here:

Chinese noodles are said to be the best in the north of China, but I've found some amazing noodles here in Sichuan, in Southern China. In Sichuan province, there is a large variety of different noodles to try. One of my favourite, even more so than the internationally famous Dan Dan noodles (dan dan mian 担担面) is the mixed sauce noodles with cowpeas, the jiangdoumian 豇豆面, they are top notch. Some of them are like Chinese street food, while others are in restaurants. Most of them are good.

►The BEST VPNs For China:

I found this place in Chengdu after biking around one night in search of the best noodles with a hungry stomach. I love watching the local Chinese cooking and getting to taste the noodles afterwards brings so much joy. Chinese cuisine is so diverse, and noodles are one of the staples. Each recipe is different, and in Chengdu, Sichuan, I've come to love noodles more than rice or even many of the stir fried dishes. There is beef noodle soup, dan dan noodles, dry chili paste mixed sauce noodles, spare rib noodles, sweet potato noodles with intestine, and a lot of them are really spicy. There are also many hand pulled noodle joints and blade-sheared noodles as well.

The name and address for this local noodle joint is:

MOUTH-NUMBING Sichuan Hot Pot in Taipei, Taiwan (Day 9)

This Sichuan hot pot in Taipei was amazing!

Day 9 in Taiwan, Ying and I decided to take a relatively easy day by going to a few museums, and doing something I’ve wanted to do for a long time, eat a Sichuan hot pot.

0:26 Miniatures Museum of Taiwan
The first place on our agenda for the day was a quick stop at the Miniatures Museum of Taiwan, a small private museum of models of famous buildings and architectures, especially European and English style. The museum was alright if you like to see models and the models were incredibly well detailed and very well done. Overall, it wasn’t really my style of a museum though, so we just spent a few minutes there and then it was time to eat lunch.

1;39 Old Sichuan Hot Pot - Incredible Meal
After a quick search, I noticed there was a Sichuan hot pot restaurant located just around the block from the Miniature Museum of Taiwan, and so we headed right there as they opened to have a Sichuan hot pot meal experience. The restaurant was very nice and well decorated, a real nice place. I wasn’t sure how expensive it was going to be, but we just decided to go for it and have lunch. Our water didn’t really speak English, so it was a bit of a challenge to order, but luckily they had pictures of the different plates to order, and from there they served everyone the same due of soups for the hot pot. Sichuan hot pot is a bit different from other types of hot pot because of the soup. The soup contained a lot of Sichuan pepper corns, which are little berries that have a numbing effect on the mouth and tongue as you eat them. Along with the boiling broth, we ordered a plate of beef, pork, and a plate of fish and vegetables. My first experience with eating a Sichuan hot pot was amazing, and my mouth stayed numbing and tinging for our entire meal. It for sure made me crave more Sichuan food and I can’t wait to visit Sichuan hopefully in the future. Our Sichuan hot pot meal was a bit on the expensive side, but the quality was fantastic and it was well worth it.

7:30 Confucius Temple
A few days before Ying and I had tried to visit the Confucius Temple, but unfortunately it was closed on the day we went. So since we weren’t too far, we decided to go back to the Confucius Temple. It was very quiet, and we just browsed around for a few minutes.

8:17 Taipei Fine Arts Museum
Our final stop of the day was a visit to the Taipei Fine Arts Museum, a museum showcasing contemporary Taiwanese art. The museum was quite interesting if you enjoy modern art, and for the price it was worth visiting.

Pretty tired and feeling amazing after that Sichuan hot pot, we went back to our hotel and called it a day. It wasn’t a very long Day 9, but it was very good - an amazing meal.

The ONGOING SPICY FOOD CHALLENGE IN ASIA!

The ongoing spicy food challenge in Asia, it's a spicy food haven.

It can be Chinese food, Taiwanese, Thai food,
Hot Peppers, spicy foods, and tips for, communicating with Non-English speaking people about your preferences. A look at spicy foods in Thailand, Bhutan and China with a bit of peppers history.
Before the late 1400's spicy Asian cuisines depended on peppercorns, star anise, and spicy basil for the ZING! Christopher Columbus brought peppers back from America on his return trip to Europe in 1494.
I like eating spicy foods and sometimes the very spicy foods.
The images in this video may cause the spicy-sissies in the audience to cringe but others to get busy eating spicy foods.
