TIERRA DEL FUEGO. 4К ( 2021 г)
Этот фильм посвящён экспедиции на Огненную Землю, откуда мы только только вернулись. Немного расскажу о самой экспедиции. На яхте нас было 12 человек. 8 пассажиров (включая меня с Олей) и 4 члена команды. Места там суровые, дикие и очень малопосещаемые, навигация сложная, погода непредсказуемая. Команде зачастую приходилось непросто, но они у нас очень опытные моряки, поэтому мы прошли маршрут идеально. Основные трудности были связаны с въездом в страну и полной неопределённостью касательно того пустят нас туда или нет, сможет яхта зайти в Чили или её отправят куда подальше! Были риски, что путешествие не состоится… Однако, удача была на нашей стороне и у нас всё получилось.
На борту яхты Mon Coeur имеется судовая библиотека, в которой присутствует книга Дарвина «Путешествие натуралиста вокруг света на корабле «Бигль», где большая отдельная глава № 10 посвящена Огненной Земле и обитавшим там аборигенам. Само собой, что в процессе путешествия книга активно изучалась, мы постоянно сравнивали описания, сделанные Дарвиным с тем, что видели своими глазами. Самое удивительно, что НИЧЕГО там не изменилось, кроме исчезновения местных племён огнеземельцев. Природа осталась такой же невероятной, прекрасной, суровой, неприступной, как и 200, 300, 1000 лет назад! Постепенно, участники экспедиции вдруг почувствовали себя настоящими первооткрывателями. Так у нас в путешествии появились Дарвин, Магеллан и другие важные исторические персоны. Поэтому фильм этот мы назвали « Tierra del Fuego или невероятные приключения Дарвина и Магеллана».
Фильм сделан в формате 4К, поэтому мои рекомендации смотреть его на хорошем большом мониторе с «правильным» звуком!

Chad Sahara Desert Overland
This video documents an overland journey made across Africa and the Sahara Desert in 2001 covering a section with no roads from Niger, round the top of Lake Chad and into the country of Chad. Would you make this journey today?
This 200km journey took us 8 days due to the deep sand which was very soft in places. One 20km section in particular took us 4 days (more digging than driving).
Where is Lake Chad?
Lake Chad is shown on the Michelin Map as a big blue area but this lake has shrunk so much all that is left is dessert and the shore of this once massive lake is now 200km away and we didn't even come close to seeing it, the route taken by the few people venture round the north of the lake however still skirts the dunes now far to the north and involves lots of digging in the sand!

Twenty years ago my wife and I packed up our life in the UK and set off to drive overland in our Land Rover Defender with the aim of driving all the way to the Cape Town in South Africa, a journey which will take us from coast to coast along the length and breadth of Africa.
Because this journey was twenty years ago, there were no smartphones, no google maps, and no digital cameras. The photos taken on the journey were on transparencies, designed to be projected. I have taken photographs of some of those slides for the purpose of showing in this video.

Eric Bonnem fait le point sur la situation dans ces pays ainsi que sur notre offre saharienne. La saison dernière fut belle et intense notamment dans le grand Sud algérien avec une bonne centaine de participants qui sont partis goûter la beauté et la douceur des tassilis N’Ajjer. La Mauritanie s'est également bien relancée avec quelques départs. Enfin, le Tchad, le grand Sud marocain, le grand Erg oriental tunisien, la somptueuse Égypte des pharaons mais également le Soudan n’ont pas été en reste.

Bragin Belarus
Bragin is a town in the Gomel Region of Belarus. It stands on the banks of Braginka river and has a population of 3700. Bragin is located at the following coordinates: 51°47′N 30°16′E.
By the end of 19th century, 2254 of 4311 inhabitants were Jewish. During World War II, Bragin was under German occupation from 28 August 1941 to 23 November 1943. Many Jews in the area were killed by the German forces during that time. On September 13, 1941, the Jews of Bragin were ordered to gather in a school for the purposes of selecting a monitor and his deputy, but when 300 Jews came at the indicated time the school they were surrounded by Germans and closed. After that, Jews were led out in groups to the edge of the village and shot.
As a result of the Chernobyl disaster, areas of the Bragin district were radioactively contaminated. 52 settlements were resettled, 9 of which are buried. From Bragin itself 1651 families (4892 people) were resettled.
