Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the #travel bug! We started “travel hacking” & finally decided we wanted to travel for one year. After 2 years of saving $ and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016. We started this #travelvlog to share our experiences with friends and family, then decided we really liked vlogging and traveling! After achieving our new goal of 100 countries before 2020 and all 7 continents, we have no plans to slow down anytime soon, and we are incredibly thankful to do something we love every day. :)

First Tourist to Europe during COVID-19 | 12 BIG Differences

With all the travel restrictions and bans in place, flying during Covid19 is controversial. But when a country opens for tourism, what is right and what is wrong? In this video I travel from Canada to Europe during the 2020 pandemic, and show you some of the main differences along the way. The EU had just opened non-essential travel to select nations around the world, and I took advantage of my Canadian citizenship to be one of the very first tourists to arrive in Europe during the coronavirus pandemic.

Upon landing in the European Union, I was only asked where I was going. There were no questionnaires, no temperature checks, or swabs. I wasn't even expected to self quarantine, or isolate myself upon arrival. (even though I chose to). I was a free man.

I hope this video can be useful to those who are planning to travel during Covid19. Let's Chat in the comments.

EUROPE TO USA DURING COVID-19 // International Flight Attendant Vlog 27 2020

Hi guys :)
I just went on another amazing trip and yes, it was an international trip again! I was able to go to the US again, crew scheduling gave me a trip to L.A. while I was on reserve. There is a travel ban between the European Union and the US at the moment due to the current situation, but there are some exceptions which is why these flights are still operated right now.
I had a great layover in Los Angeles and I made sure that I protected myself and others while I was there.
If you are a flight attendant then please let me know if you have been working recently and if you have actually gotten any international trips.
I am actually going on vacation today, so I am really excited for this trip. Keep watching out for the next vlog which will be a travel vlog as well.
I will see you soon!

GERMANY TO CHICAGO DURING COVID-19 // International Flight Attendant Vlog 29 2020

Hi guys :)
I was on reserve last week and I ended up getting a trip to Chicago, Illinois. Here I am scoring three international trips in a row, three transatlantic flights to be specific. My crew was absolutely amazing and the flights were pretty easy.
I was able to get some sightseeing done while I was in Chicago (just an FYI, I was trying to protect myself as well as others by wearing an N95 mask).
This is what flight attendant life is all about, it's exciting to not know where you're going and every day at work is different.
I hope you all enjoyed this vlog.
Have a great week everyone and stay safe!

GERMANY TO LOS ANGELES DURING COVID-19 // International Flight Attendant Vlog 37 2020

Hi guys :)
I was really lucky since crew scheduling gave me a flight to beautiful Los Angeles, California with a 72 hour layover. Honestly, I have been really lucky these past few months since I keep getting flights to the US and Canada, even in the middle of the current pandemic.
Many things have changed when it comes to flying. Flights, especially international flights, are still sort of empty since most people are banned from going on international trips and entering foreign countries. I don't think any of us would have imagined a year ago that we would all be wearing masks for the whole duration of a flight at this point, passengers and flight attendants alike. But obviously this is for the greater good and I am glad that these measures make flying and traveling possible again.
I had a wonderful time in sunny California, this time around we actually stayed at a different crew hotel in O.C. so I got to see a different area of California. I went to Newport Beach and the scenery was stunning! I also got some shopping done (there are so many things that I can't get at home, so I had to stock up on them). Last, but not least, I participated in a yoga retreat, an online yoga retreat that is, while I was in the Greater Los Angeles Area. This was so relaxing and calming and I am so glad that it worked out, even though I was on a layover and had to fly back home on that day. The timing was perfect!
I hope you all enjoyed this video and I will see you soon! Have a wonderful week everyone!

WORKING MY FIRST SHORT-HAUL FLIGHT SINCE COVID-19 // International Flight Attendant Vlog 40 2020

Hi guys :)
I am back with a flight attendant vlog, how exciting! Crew scheduling gave me a short-haul trip and it was actually the first short-haul flight I have worked since the start of the pandemic. Even though it was only a Frankfurt turn with a deadhead return flight, I was still excited that I was able to work.
I also got tested for covid-19 at the airport and I did my best at explaining the process and why I decided to get tested (Austria is a risk area right now, I should probably mention that).
This week I'll go back to work since I have to do my annual first aid training. Austria is returning to a hard lockdown on Tuesday, so we are back where we were at back in March/April. I'll talk more about it in next week's vlog since we just got notified about the new measures.
I hope you enjoyed this vlog and I will see you soon. Take care and stay healthy!

FIRST TRANSATLANTIC FLIGHT DURING COVID-19 + RESERVE LIFE // Flight Attendant Vlog 25 2020

Hi guys :)
I am back at work! I was on standby this past week and I actually got an amazing international trip. I was so excited about it. I even got to work together with one of my friends and I had an amazing time in Montreal, Canada. The flight time was 7 hours and 30 minutes from Munich, Germany to Montreal, so it was a rather short long-haul trip, but I actually got to travel across the big pong. Being on reserve is always a bit nerve-wracking, since we flight attendants have no idea where we are going to go or if we get a trip at all and we have to be ready for a flight pretty quickly after crew scheduling gives us a call.
I had so much fun exploring Canada and going out for some yummy food. I had an amazing time with my crew and I was so happy to be back up in the air. I know that I am really lucky that I can travel even now in the current situation. Going on a transatlantic flight in the middle of a pandemic is definitely very rare and I really appreciate this experience.
I am so glad that I am back with some travel and flight attendant content!
I hope you enjoyed this video. Thank you so much for watching! I will see you soon!

GERMANY TO SOUTH KOREA DURING COVID-19 // Flight Attendant Vlogmas 2020 Day 6-9

Hi guys :)
I was on reserve last week and I was lucky and got a trip to Seoul, South Korea. Of course, I vlogged the whole trip so that you guys can get a few glimpses into what international travel is like at the moment. Due to the laws in South Korea I had to stay inside of my hotel, but I had a great layover in Seoul nevertheless. This is what I like about my life as a flight attendant - I never know what countries I'll be going to in a few weeks' time, what my layover will be like, what my crew will be like... I love my job and hope that these little glimpses into my life will give you an idea about what flight attendant life is like and maybe you'll even consider my profession as a possible future career for yourself.
This is probably my last trip for 2020, so let's hope that life will go back to normal sometime in 2021.
I hope you enjoyed this video an I will see you soon! Take care and stay healthy!

48 HOURS IN VIENNA // International Flight Attendant Vlog 32 2020

Hi guys :)
I just went on a trip to our capital here in Austria, beautiful Vienna. I went and visited my former flat mate Mariella there. We did lots of sightseeing in the historic part of Vienna and we checked out some really good restaurants.
I had such a great time visiting my friend and catching up.
Fun fact: I used to live in Vienna for 5 months back in 2014 while I was doing an internship as part of my college studies.
I hope you guys enjoyed this week's vlog and I hope you are excited for my reserve line which I'll show you in next week's vlog. Let's see if this flight attendant right here will actually get a trip. I'm definitely excited to be on reserve soon.
I hope you all have a great week and I'll see you soon!

Flying from Europe to Australia during COVID-19 & Hotel Quarantine.

On the 20th April I flew home to Australia from Corfu, Greece, taking Aegean Airlines and Qatar Airways. Anyone arriving from overseas must now stay 14 days in quarantine in a hotel which is paid for by the government. Check out the spooky airports, empty planes and have a look at the arrival process and hotel quarantine. Enjoy!

CHRISTMAS 2020 IN AUSTRIA // International Flight Attendant VLOGMAS 2020 Day 24+25

Hi guys :)
Merry Christmas! In this video you can come along and see how we celebrated Christmas in Austria with my family. This was the first time I ever took someone home to celebrate Christmas with my family and we all had a blast! I am so glad that I got to see my family and that I also got to see Mario's family for the Holidays!
I know that many of you have messaged me and wished me a Merry Christmas - I am trying to reply to every single one of you very soon, I have been super busy with the move and Christmas festivities, I'm so sorry that I'm a little behind when it comes to responding to comments.

SCHEDULE CHANGES + MY WEEK IN AUSTRIA // International Flight Attendant Vlog 36 2020

Hi guys :)
This past week crew scheduling actually sent me an updated schedule and yes, it looks like I'll be working next week! I am so excited! Take a guess and let me know where you think I'll go.
Apart from that I went for a little walk through Salzburg, I hope you enjoy the views. This time I went for a stroll through Old Town Salzburg.
Last week I promised that I'll show you how I make bread. I don't really have a recipe that I follow, but I usually use about 400 g (3 1/4 cup) of flour (I prefer wholemeal spelt flour, but you can basically use any flour), 2 packages of dry yeast (equals 14 g (5 tsp) of dry yeast) and 400 ml (13.5 fl oz) water. Additionally, I like to add about 120 g (1 cup) of chopped nuts and seeds and some vegetables like grated carrots or zucchini. Don't forget to flavor it with a tbsp of salt and a tbsp of balsamic vinegar. I like to add some seeds and rolled oats to the top of the bread and bake it for 60 minutes at 200°C (390°F). The bread tastes so good and it's pretty healthy too!
I hope you enjoyed this video and I will see you soon!

3 DAY TRIP TO SWEDEN AND MALTA // International Flight Attendant Vlog 20 2021

Hi guys :)
I finally got a short-haul trip with a layover outside of Germany (this hasn't happened in over a year!). Crew scheduling assigned me this really cool trip. So first of all, I worked a Malta turn and then I worked the flight to Stockholm, Sweden, where I had a really long layover - lucky me! I went on a nice long walk in hot and humid Uppsala (Uppsala is a town close to Stockholm).
My crew was amazing and I had a really nice trip. I finally got to work our new service and while I was a little nervous beforehand, I actually quite like the wide range of new products that we now offer and our passengers seemed to be happy about the changes too.
I will be on reserve again soon, so do think that crew scheduling give me a long-haul or short-haul trip this time around? I am excited to find out!
Since I was really busy this week with work and my private life, it might take me a while to get back to everyone, I hope you understand.
I hope you enjoyed this video and I will see you soon!

FLIGHT ATTENDANT VLOGMAS 2020 DAY 1 // Austrianontravels

Hi guys :)
I hope you have all had a great December 1st so far. Since many of you have requested that I take part in this year's Vlogmas, here is my first Vlogmas video. I am trying to upload as many videos as possible until Christmas, however there won't be a video every single day. I am aiming for 2 or 3 video per week, which is definitely more than usual and I hope that you guys will enjoy this year's Vlogmas nevertheless.
I am packing for a trip right now since crew scheduling ended up giving me a trip! How exciting! Obviously, I will take you guys with my on my upcoming trip. So yes, you will definitely get to see some flight attendant content during the holiday season. 2020 has been a weird year so far, so I'm not sure what the holiday season will be like, with most countries still in lockdown it will definitely be a little different, but let's make the most of it!
The next Vlogmas video will probably be uploaded on Thursday, so keep watching out for that one.
I hope you all have a great December and I will see you very soon!
