Dubai Creek Tower facts and information
================================
Dubai Creek Tower is a hyper-tall tower under construction in Dubai, the tower will become the World's Tallest Building (or Structure) upon completion in 2020. Below is the facts and some information of the tower.

Name: Dubai Creek Tower (In Arabic: برج خور دبي)
=====================================
The name may be a provisional name, like Burj Khalifa had been named Burj Dubai before opening.
When this tower was first reported by the medias in February 2016, it came with no name, the developer called it The Tower at Dubai Creek Harbor or Iconic Tower, the name The Tower at Dubai Creek Harbor was also displayed on a foundation stone at the construction site.Since the mid 2017 they started using the new name Dubai Creek Tower, as it is planned to be the centerpiece of Dubai Creek Harbor. A giant model of the tower displayed in Dubai Mall is labeled with the this new name.

Location:
=======
Dubai Creek Tower will be built on a site in the vicinity of Dubai Creek, which is a waterfront area located near Ras Al Khor National Wildlife Sanctuary, Dubai Creek was the city's center of history and culture.
A large project named Dubai Creek Harbor is being developed there, lots of new buildings will be built, Dubai Creek Harbor is planned to be a new district in Dubai, just like Dubai Marina, Business Bay and Downtown Dubai, but this district will be three times the size of Downtown Dubai, covering an area of 6 square kilometers (2.3 square miles), Dubai Creek Tower will be the centerpiece of this project. The site of Dubai Creek Harbor is located at 8 kilometers east of Burj Khalifa.

Height: 928 meters-1400 meters
=========================
The developer Emaar will not announce the exact height of Dubai Creek Tower until its official opening in 2020 or later, in this way they can efficiently prevent its height from being surpassed by some potential competitive projects.
After Dubai Creek Tower was unveiled in February 2016, the son of the architect Santiago Calatrava told the medias that the tower will be a notch taller than Burj Khalifa, and several months later in June 2016, the Chairman of Emaar Properties used to tell the media that the tower will be 100 meters taller than Burj Khalifa, which means it will be 928 meters tall, since then many medias started to using the figure 928 to introduce the height of Dubai Creek Tower.
In August 2017, a video displayed in Dubai Mall gives a hint of the height of the tower, according to the video, it can be approximately speculated that 8 Dubai Creek Tower stacked on each other will reach 11 kilometers, hence the tower will be at least 1300 meters.
For a tower supported by many cables anchored on anchors that spread on two sides, this height is not difficult to archive, people had built many supported towers that rise around 2000 ft in America in last century.
If it will really be over 1300 meters tall, then it will become the tallest structure in the world, as it can be sure that the Jeddah Tower in Saudi Arabia is not likely going to be that high.
And maybe it will be recognized as world's tallest building as well, since it's not totally a supported tower, what differentiate it from the supported tower is that it has habitable floors, a feature can only be found on buildings.

Uses:
=====
Dubai Creek Tower will be mainly used for observation decks or sky gardens. And there will be 20 floors occupied by hotels and restaurants as well, and even residences. The antenna on the peak will be used for broadcasting.

Design:
======
Dubai Creek Tower was designed by Spanish-Swiss architect Santiago Calatrava Valls.

The Burj Jumeirah will stand 550 meters above Dubai upon completion in 2023. Plans show it will be surrounded by a mixed-use, residential and commercial zone dubbed Downtown Jumeirah.
Burj Jumeirah will be the centerpiece of Downtown Jumeirah,
construction is set to begin immediately, with the first phase to be completed in 2023
Burj Jumeirah's design is said to be inspired by desert dunes and oases according to Dubai Holding and will feature a platform at 1,476 feet (450 meters) with sky lounge and restaurant. An observation deck will also afford 360-degree views across the city.
Dubai’s ruler’s fingerprint will form the base of the tower. The tower's design is inspired by the harmonious ripples of the UAE's desert sand dunes and its flowing oases. The tower's façade will be covered with digital displays and LED lights too.

Inspired by the lily flower and traditional minarets, the column is also accentuated by more modern architectural lines, unlike anything the world has seen before. Every day following the sunset, Dubai Creek Tower will emit a “beacon of light” from its peak.

A joint venture with Dubai Holding, the pile foundations for the gravity-defying structure have already been completed, laying grounds to the promise of a magnificent vertical column unparalleled in weight and strength. Minutes away from Dubai International Airport, Dubai Creek Tower will consist of several enthralling observation decks that offer 360° views of Dubai Creek Harbour and the city beyond. The superstructure overlooks the Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary and is directly linked to one of the world’s most vibrant retail districts.

Dubai Creek Tower’s design was selected following a highly competitive pitch from some of the world’s most recognisable architects. Renowned Spanish-Swiss architect Santiago Calatrava Valls was chosen as the design mastermind behind the project.

DUBAI CREEK TOWER- LIVE Observation Deck, World's Tallest Building UAE 2020-2021 - Flying Turtle

With a new mega tall project, Dubai intends to defeat its own title of being the home of the world’s tallest building. After the completion of the 828m high Burj Khalifa in 2010, Saudi Arabia started the construction of the Jeddah Tower which –once completed- will be 1007m high. Dubai’s answer is the #DubaiCreekTower. The 75m deep barrettes for its foundation are already inserted and the tower’s completion is expected in 2020.

The Dubai Creek Tower is one of the great architectural marvels in #Dubai, though still under construction. It will house observational decks to have mesmerizing views of the entire city. The tower is positioned as the centrepiece of the Dubai Creek Harbour, another breakthrough project in the Emirates. It will serve as a commercial hub, though expected to be the next big tourist attraction.

The design comes from the Spanish-Swiss architect and engineer Santiago Calatrava and will be the centerpiece of the Dubai Creek Habour development, a new downtown district with a mega-mall. Its skyline is located at the other side of the #DubaiCreek.

Dubai Creek Tower - bigger shopping & taller building in the old Creek

It doesn't seem long ago we were in Dubai and building was starting everywhere. Ten years later went to see the Burj Kalifa, the tallest skyscraper in the world at 829.8m high. IN another film we go up it for cocktails. Now two new buildings are in delayed construction because of COVID, but the Jeddah Tower plans to be 1,000m high. The Dubai Creek Tower will be a minimum height match to the Kalifa, but rumours abound of 1.3km. Unless it has 50% of the height for dwellings it cannot be called a skyscraper (that and the planned 68 miles of supporting cables. We will see. What we do know now, is why they built the metro there and called the station Creek. Now, the real reason the metro goes to the old creek is clear; there is to be bigger shopping, taller buildings and more people.

That means Dubai will want more ships and more cruisers.
