This was taken on Easter Sunday as we drove down to Placencia from San Ignacio, it is a great drive through incredibly pretty country. The roads for the most part are good and well maintained. We passed through many colorful little towns on our travels, we will have to spend more time when we are down again just looking around a little more

Road Trip Through Belize: Belize City to Hopkins and Placencia
In this video, the Floppy Hat Adventurers rent a Kia Forte from Crystal Car Rental at the #BelizeCity airport and take a road trip to #Hopkins and #Placencia.
We had grand plans of spending a day on the beach, having a picnic lunch, and relaxing for a few hours in Hopkins, but the #sargassum #seaweed had other plans for us. Instead, we grabbed grilled meats from Mama Lour, and some refreshing #dragonfruit #lemonade from Papa Churros and had lunch in the car.
After having lunch in Hopkins, we found out that we had enough time to explore Placencia. Only about an hour away, Placencia is a small spit of land that has the sea on one side, and a long lagoon on the other. It features many huge houses, nice hotels and resorts, a few restaurants and beautiful scenery. When arriving we parked at the end of the road, took a boat across the canal, and stopped at The Other Side - the INN place & PoolSide Bar for a beverage.
Also, Enjoy the #drone footage we got of both Hopkins and Placencia we are able to get.

Sabrina and I have arrived in Placencia. We spent two days in Hopkins, a very small village just off the Southern Highway. It rained the entire time we were there. I never made any videos, but we did stay in an amazing hostel - Funky Do Do. If you are heading to Hopkins definitely checkout the Funky Do Do. Placencia is a bigger village just south of Hopkins. In this video we take you a village tour. What an incredible little place.!

Discovering Placencia in Belize
Travel video vlog about my solo trip to Placencia, Belize.
Placencia is a small village located in the Stann Creek District of Belize. It is located 3:30 hours drive from Belize city or 40 minutes flight. The eastern side of the Peninsula is a long expanse of white sand beach and heavy mangrove in some areas; the western side is bounded by a long narrow north–south trending bay of the Caribbean Sea. I spent 3 days in Placencia during Christmas in 2022.

Episode 2 of the YouTube series A Day In Placencia, with the theme Businesses Of Placencia.
A Leslie Tech Video Services project. Once a month we will send our photographer, Marneesha Leslie, to walk around the village and snap candid photos. Leslie Tech Video Services will then turn the photos into a video slideshow for the world to enjoy.
Background: Marneesha Leslie is my 17 year niece who is aspiring to be a professional photographer. To encourage her and help her develop her skills, I started this project, which I am hoping it will accomplish two things: 1. develop her photography skills and 2. Showcase Placencia to the world.
This project is non-profit.
