In the video I am driving from my Airbnb to Pigeon Island National Park in St Lucia. I found out that is was closed for the day though. There was a festival there, but it didn't start until later in the day. Instead starting walking on the beach of the Sandals Resort. I will have a video of that on YouTube soon.

Driving In St.Lucia
Driving from Castries St.Lucia south to Vieux-Fort. This video starts at the round about turn near the Castries market which can be seen on the left. You will then make a right at the lights and follow main road out of the city and to Vieux-Fort via the tunnel along Millineum Highway.

This is part 2 of 3 of what is essentially a Viking Cruises narrated panoramic bus tour of the island of St. Lucia in the Caribbean on March 2, 2018. Functionally there is a part 4 if you want to see the whole island but I have posted that as a separate video from Stony Hill back to Castries. For the observant, you will notice there are no house numbers, street names or highway numbers or any identification like that anywhere on the island. Must be murder on the post office. In fact, can't understand how one would receive mail on this island or how emergency services would know where to go but those issues are beyond me. But, very interesting St. Lucia can get along this way. The contrast with Guadeloupe which we saw the very next day was striking because Guadeloupe is a miniature France, complete with French highway, road and street signs just like in France.

This is part 1 of 3 showing a Viking Cruises narrated tour bus ride from Castries to the wedding venue Stony Hill on the island of St. Lucia in the Caribbean in the West Indies on March 2, 2018. This is essentially a panoramic bus tour of St. Lucia. Also, if you notice carefully, there are no house numbers, street or road signs or highway signs anywhere in this video. How St. Lucia survives and delivers mail without any street names or numbers is beyond me but they make it work somehow. Most of the panoramic tour was in the ride from Castries to Stony Hill. I have posted a separate video showing the return from Stony Hill back to Castries. That would be the functional equivalent of part 4 of a panoramic bus tour of St. Lucia. So, if you want to see the whole island you need to watch parts 1 to 3 of this plus my additional separate video from Stony Hill to Castries.

Castries to Soufrière in 11 minutes
I mounted a GoPro camera to the windshield of our Suzuki Vitara and drove the Western road home from Choc Beach North of Castries along the rim of the rainforest through Marigot, Anse la Raye, Canaries, Colombette, Soufrière and finally, Ladera.
Then I sped it up eight times.
*Urp!* fasten your seat belts and stay left, LEFT!!!
*** on a purely personal note, this little exercises was, for me, an emotional cleansing from dealing with the aftermath of Hurricane Tomas in October 2010. That I could record this at all, that portions of this road even *exists* at all today, is a testament to the hard and heartbreaking efforts and indomitable spirit of the St. Lucian men and women who healed this wound and who daily look ever forward ***
