Stretched along the Hudson, The Waterfront offers Manhattan views from its promenade and battery of upscale condo buildings. A candy-striped lighthouse and a 9/11 memorial face the spot where the Twin Towers stood. Mainstream shops fill Newport Center mall, while partially pedestrianized Newark Avenue is chockablock with taverns, taquerias, and New American eateries. The Museum of Russian Art shows Soviet-era works.

From Wikipedia:
Jersey City is the second-most populous city in the U.S. state of New Jersey, after Newark. It is the county seat of Hudson County and the county's largest city.[28] The city's population as of the 2020 United States census was 292,449.

Constituting part of the New York metropolitan area, Jersey City is bounded on the east by the Hudson River and Upper New York Bay and on the west by the Hackensack River and Newark Bay. A port of entry, with 30.7 miles (49.4 km) of waterfront and extensive rail infrastructure and connectivity,[29] the city is an important transportation terminus and distribution and manufacturing center for the Port of New York and New Jersey. Jersey City shares significant mass transit connections with Manhattan. Redevelopment of the Jersey City waterfront has made the city one of the largest centers of banking and finance in the United States and has led to the district and city being nicknamed Wall Street West. By the early 2020s, the construction of residential high-rises made median rental rates the highest of any city in the United States.

【4K】WALK Jersey City Grove Street USA 4k video Travel vlog

Jersey City’s Grove Street area is only a seven-minute PATH train ride from Manhattan, but for years that brief journey has been ridiculed for its destination, an unpolished wasteland. But lately, the Grove Street area brings to mind the Smith Street corridor of Brooklyn about 20 years ago. The New Jersey area has blossomed with the opening of more than a dozen stylish restaurants, bars and shops, joining longtime establishments that help it retain a tempo slightly slower than that across the Hudson River. As if to punctuate the neighborhood’s appeal, a large swath of a bordering street, Newark Avenue, the site of several new hot spots, became a pedestrian-only thoroughfare this summer.

⁴ᴷ Walking Tour of Downtown Newark, New Jersey - Market Street, Broad Street, & Raymond Boulevard

I walk in Downtown Newark, New Jersey from Newark Penn Station and travel along Market Street, Broad Street, and Raymond Boulevard.

From Wikipedia:
Newark is the most populous city in the U.S. state of New Jersey and the seat of Essex County. As one of the nation's major air, shipping, and rail hubs, the city had a population of 281,764 in 2016, making it the nation's 67th-most populous municipality, after being ranked 63rd in the nation in 2000.

Settled in 1666 by Puritans from New Haven Colony, Newark is one of the oldest European cities in the United States. Its location at the mouth of the Passaic River (where it flows into Newark Bay) has made the city's waterfront an integral part of the Port of New York and New Jersey. Today, Port Newark–Elizabeth is the primary container shipping terminal of the busiest seaport on the American East Coast. In addition, Newark Liberty International Airport was the first municipal commercial airport in the United States, and today is one of its busiest.

Several leading companies have their headquarters in Newark, including Prudential, PSEG, Panasonic Corporation of North America, Audible.com, IDT Corporation, and Manischewitz. A number of important higher education institutions are also in the city, including the Newark campus of Rutgers University (which includes law and medical schools and the Rutgers Institute of Jazz Studies); the New Jersey Institute of Technology; and Seton Hall University's law school. The U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey sits in the city as well. Local cultural venues include the New Jersey Performing Arts Center, Newark Symphony Hall, the Prudential Center and the Newark Museum.

Driving Downtown - Jersey City 4K - USA

Driving Downtown - Jersey City New Jersey USA - Episode 33.
Starting Point: Washington Boulevard -
Jersey City is the second most populous city in the U.S. state of New Jersey after Newark.[22] It is the seat of Hudson County as well as the county's largest city.[23][24] As of 2015, the Census Bureau's Population Estimates Program calculated that Jersey City's population was 264,290,[16] with the largest population increase of any municipality in New Jersey since 2010,[25] an increase of about 6.7% from the 2010 United States Census, when the city's population was at 247,597,[15][26] ranking the city the 75th largest in the nation.[27]

Part of the New York metropolitan area, Jersey City is bounded on the east by the Hudson River and Upper New York Bay and on the west by the Hackensack River and Newark Bay. A port of entry, with 21 miles (34 km) of waterfront[28] and significant rail connections, the city is an important transportation terminus and distribution and manufacturing center for the Port of New York and New Jersey. Financial and service industries as well as direct rapid transit access to Manhattan in New York City have played a prominent role in the redevelopment of the Jersey City waterfront and the creation of one of the nation's largest downtown central business districts.

After a peak population of 316,715 measured in the 1930 Census, the city's population saw a half-century-long decline to a low of 223,532 in the 1980 Census, but since then the city's population has grown, with the 2010 population reflecting an increase of 7,542 (+3.1%) from the 240,055 counted in the 2000 Census, which had in turn increased by 11,518 (+5.0%) from the 228,537 counted in the 1990 Census.

20th and 21st centuries
Beginning in the 1980s, development of the waterfront in an area previously occupied by rail yards and factories helped to stir the beginnings of a renaissance for Jersey City. The rapid construction of numerous high-rise buildings increased the population and led to the development of the Exchange Place financial district, also known as 'Wall Street West', one of the largest banking centers in the United States. Large financial institutions such as UBS, Goldman Sachs, Chase Bank, Citibank, and Merrill Lynch occupy prominent buildings on the Jersey City waterfront, some of which are among the tallest buildings in New Jersey. Simultaneous to this building boom, the light-rail network was developed.[59] With 18,000,000 square feet (1,700,000 m2) of office space, it has the nation's 12th largest downtown.[60]

In November 2015, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump made the claim that thousands and thousands of Muslims in Jersey City cheered as they watched the Twin Towers burn after their collapse during the September 11 terrorist attacks, and used the unsubstantiated allegation as justification for his proposal that certain mosques in the United States should be monitored by authorities.[61]

City Ordinance 13.097, passed in October 2013, requires employers with ten or more employees to offer up to five paid sick days a year. The bill impacts all businesses employing workers who work at least 80 hours a calendar year in Jersey City.

Downtown Jersey City Tour NJ

Jersey City is the second-most populous city in the U.S. state of New Jersey, after Newark. It is the seat of Hudson County as well as the county's largest city. The U.S. Census Bureau's Population Estimates Program calculated that the city's population was 262,075 in 2019, ranking as the 80th-most-populous incorporated place in the nation. The 2019 estimate represents an increase of about 5.8% from the 2010 United States Census, when the city's population was at 247,597, ranking the city the nation's 78th-largest by population.

After a peak population of 316,715 measured in the 1930 census, the city's population saw a half-century-long decline to a nadir of 223,532 in the 1980 census. Since then, the city's population has rebounded, with the 2010 population reflecting an increase of 7,542 (+3.1%) from the 240,055 counted in the 2000 census, which had in turn increased by 11,518 (+5.0%) from the 228,537 counted in the 1990 census.

Part of the New York metropolitan area, Jersey City is bounded on the east by the Hudson River and Upper New York Bay and on the west by the Hackensack River and Newark Bay. A port of entry, with 30.7 miles (49.4 km) of waterfront and extensive rail infrastructure and connectivity, the city is an important transportation terminus and distribution and manufacturing center for the Port of New York and New Jersey. Jersey City shares significant mass transit connections with Manhattan. Redevelopment of the Jersey City waterfront has made the city one of the largest centers of banking and finance in the United States and has led to the district and city being nicknamed Wall Street West.
