Here are the best things to do in Dominica that I did:
Hike to Middleham Falls.

Swim in Titou Gorge.
See some filming locations for Pirates of the Caribbean in Dominica.
Go Snorkelling with Nature Island Dive.
See Roseau’s Saturday Market.
Go Whale Watching with Dive Dominica.
Visit Metro Beach.
Take a River Cruise up the Indian River.
Learn about the Kalinago people.
And finally, see Batibou Bay, what must be Dominica’s best beach!

While cruising we were told to skip Dominica. But we continued to ask around among sailors who had been there and in the end we decided to sail there too. And WOW! What an island! The nature is unlike anything we have found on the other islands in the Caribbean, and it’s a true place for exploration.
We have put together a list with things you can do while spending a week here. It’s things that we did and that we really enjoyed! Some of the stops require a local guide for access, so talk to the persons handling the buoys (either Roseau or Portsmouth) for local tips and contact with guides :)

Two-thirds of the island is covered in tropical rainforest, resulting in the lushest landscapes and most magnificent canyons and waterfalls you’ll ever see.
There were so many highlights on our trip to Dominica, but the main ones we featured in this video were the hike to Boiling Lake in the UNESCO-listed Morne Trois Pitons National Park and seeing sperm whales in the open ocean—Earth’s largest toothed predator—right up close. What set Dominica apart from everywhere else is that you’ll have these spectacular beaches, waterfalls, hot springs, and natural wonders all to yourself. And last but definitely not least, you’ll get to meet some of the kindest and most warmhearted people on the planet!

Now just a little note guys, the brown pool that you're seeing towards the end of the video.....when we went to Ti Kwen Glo Cho, that's the color of the water. No it's not dirty, it's that color because it's sulphur water.

Dominica - The Caribbean's Biggest Secret - Part 1 of 2
Take a trip up Dominica's Amazon River, the Indian River. The video includes the Sunday P.A.Y.S. beach party, a visit to a plantation, the amazing Milton waterfalls, the Dublanc fishing village, some sulfur springs, and views around Plymouth. A special thanks to our guide in Plymouth, 'Providence' for making our trip to Dominica so special.
Here's what you'll find in Part 1: you’ll get a wonderful view of the anchorage outside the capital city, Roseau. We stayed on a mooring ball for a couple nights and crew member Eve and I joined Paul from s/v Delphinus to walk 6 hours (return trip) to the world's second-largest boiling lake.
After a tour of Roseau, we then motor along the coast and came across two sperm whales! You'll see the sperm whales and my husband's thoughts about swimming next to one of them! Afterward, the video shows our anchorage at Plymouth and an event held at Fort Shirley.
