We are going back in time to share our absolute favorite place to stay in Disney World, Copper Creek Cabins.
The Riviera is our favorite penthouse, but Copper Creek Cabins at Wilderness Lodge is our favorite modern rustic place to stay. It's so nice coming back to your own cabin after a long day at the parks, with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, full kitchen and living room, patio with fireplace, picnic table, and private hot tub. That private hot tub was awesome on cool December nights.
If you have not seen these cabins before you won't want to miss this beautiful resort!

Disney's Copper Creek Villas and Cabins at Wilderness Lodge - 1 Bedroom - Standard View
Disney's Copper Creek Villas and Cabins at Wilderness Lodge is set in an old mining town from the 1800's, but with all the lux an old miner could only dream of - this is true Glamping! The room we're sharing with you in this video is a 1 bedroom accessible room, which we were upgraded to from a studio at check in. Sometimes when your room isn't ready, or you request a different room than was assigned to you, they may give you a larger accessible room upgrade. This has happed to us several times, and Disney's accessible rooms are amazing - I love how Disney makes sure that every guest has an amazing stay.
Copper Creek rooms are converted hotel rooms from the Wilderness Lodge, like the value rooms at Jambo, so they are a bit smaller than other DVC villas; however, they really make up for that in finishes - the rooms are amazing, and you might even see the monorail while waiting for the ferry boat to Magic Kingdom! Can you escape to the rustic majesty of America's North West, whilst at Walt Disney World?
*** Update - Disney's Wilderness Lodge will reopen on the 6th June 2021 ***
Disney's Wilderness Lodge is a AAA Four-Diamond Award winning resort hotel located in the Magic Kingdom Resort Area situated on Bay Lake. The resort is also located near Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, but they are distinct resorts from one another. Please don't get them confused!
The main Wilderness Lodge building was actually modelled on the Old Faithful Inn in Yellowstone National Park. An artificial geyser and hot springs are located on the resort grounds, as well as two dazzling pools! And not to mention Sturdy Branches Health & Fitness Club!!
This Resort has eight floors of Lodgepole pine imported from Oregon, as well as 55-foot, authentic totem poles, and an 82-foot fireplace representing the colourful rocks of the Grand Canyon. This resort is actually split into three different parts. Firstly there is the main building, which boasts 729 rooms and 3 suites – Honeymoon, Yosemite & Yellowstone. This hotel also has a club level floor and lounge - The Old Faithful Club.
Boulder Ridge Villas opened in 2000 and comprises 181 villas – a mix of studios, one bedroom and two bedroom villas. These are part of the Disney Vacation Club. And since just 2017, Copper Creek Villas and Cabins have also opened and comprise of 158 DVC units and 26 Cascade Cabins right on the waterfront of Bay Lake.
Wilderness Lodge has some incredible restaurants; Roaring Fork, Whispering Canyon Cafe, Storybook Dining at Artist Point, Geyser Point Bar and Grill and The Territory Lounge bar too.
