After getting a sneak peek sailboat tour of the Cook Island Vaka, Nikki is hooked! Now she's ready to crew on a traditional Polynesian catamaran. Celestial navigation, hand steering with a massive rudder, tiny kitchen cooking, pooping over the rails and 16 bunks in a hull...Nikki is definitely the more hardcore sailor between the two of us. Now she's added it to the bucket list, so one day it'll happen with or without me!

A road trip to the island of Orust! This is the epicenter for yacht building in Sweden and we take a look at two very different boats, a Forgus 52 and a Najad 391. This is episode 1 out of 2 this weekend, so don’t miss the follow up!
We are a Swedish couple who wanted a different kind of life. So we moved aboard our sailboat Ran, a custom built Beason 40 in aluminium and untied the lines in the middle of the Swedish winter in January 2016. There is no set route and we will go where the wind and our minds take us.

600 miles from Portugal to Lanzarote - Sailing Greatcircle (ep.143)
Madeira is not an option, against the wind and afterwards no wind. Next best alternative is to head straight to Lanzarote. Wout & Claire are going to help us on the crossing, making sure that we get enough sleep and of course just for the fun of it. Choppy seas on the first day as we leave just behind a storm, but good conditions for the remaining days.
