A Day in the Life of a Typical Japanese couple moving to Tokyo Apartment for the the first time together. This is a Tokyo day in the life story of a Japanese man and Japanese women deciding to move in together into their new Tokyo home. This is an inside look at Dating in Japan or dating someone Japanese. Before today, they lived in separate Tokyo Apartments but the Japanese apartments were too small so they decided to hire a Japanese moving company to help them with their move to a larger Tokyo apartment. This video shows the Japanese couple's Tokyo life together in their old Japanese apartment and in their new Tokyo apartment. We start the typical Japanese life in the morning and explore Japanese relationship culture with Yujin and Arisa. Living in Tokyo is quite different than most parts of the world. Throughout this day in the life in Japan Tokyo video, we can have an Japanese apartment tour and walk through the Japanese moving company procedures. We explore Japanese life, Japanese culture and Japanese relationship in this video. This video may also be helpful if you are thinking of moving to Japan or want to know more about a Japanese Family or Japanese home life.

Yujin is 27 years old, works for IT solutions firm in Tokyo as a sales person and has lived in this Tokyo apartment by Yoyogi Park for 2 years now.
Arisa is 26. They’ve been going out now for a strong 11 months as you can tell by their tooth brushing routine. These days, Arisa sleeps over mosts nights so it was natural for them to start thinking of getting a larger place together that they could share.
So they are moving out of this 1K apartment in Yoyogi. 1K means 1 room, Kitchen and the bath. Pretty typical size for a single person’s apartment in Tokyo. It may be small to most, but since the room’s on the 9th floor it has a pretty decent view.
Also, this main room has 2 closets which is nice since Japanese apartments tend to have minimal storage areas.
He has a medium sized fridge as you can’t really fit anything larger than this in the kitchen. It filled with your standard drinks, fresh vegetables, soy sauce and tea.
In the bathroom area, there’s a washing machine, sink and toilet. The toilet itself has the standard Japanese bidet and controller, as expected in most newer apartments.

Day in the Life of a Typical Japanese Office Worker in Tokyo
Living in Japan and working in a Tokyo office - This is a Tokyo day in the life of a Japanese Office Worker, 24 year old, Emi. This is also a tour of her Japanese office, Pasona. We start this typical day in her Japanese home, commute via train to her Tokyo office in Otemachi and spend a day in the life of Emi at her working place. We see her typical working hours in Japan and how it is working in Japan as a female in her position. Her day in the life in Japan may be a bit different than some Japanese salarymen, but her experiences in the office with chorei, senpai / kouhai, and kenshu is a very typical in experiences in many Japanese offices. If you want to know how work in Japan or want to know how work in Tokyo, this could be how your job in Japan could be like. The Tokyo office itself, is probably an above average Japanese office in terms design and the business culture a bit more progressive than most traditional Japanese companies, but this Japanese company still maintains a very traditional Japanese office environment. So all in all, this is an example of Japan life as well as Tokyo life if you were to work in a Japanese company. You should always be aware of Japanese culture when working in a Japanese office. This Japanese office has a gym, English school and even a farm all in the building. Pasona is one of the largest staffing services company in Japan. There’s about 4000 staff in her office alone and about 9000 in total worldwide.

Day in the Life of an Average Japanese Salaryman in Tokyo
Japanese work day at a Japanese office for an average Japanese salaryman in a Tokyo office. Living in Japan and working in Japan is quite a unique experience. This is a day in the life of Japanese worker, Makoto, 27 years old who lives in a Tokyo 3-story house with his family. This Tokyo salaryman works in a small Tokyo office, but spends many of his Japan working hours traveling from client to client on the Tokyo trains. Makoto works for a company called Mobal and as many Japanese salarymen, he entered the company straight from a Japanese University and he plans to spend his entire salaryman career at the same company. That is the life in Japan for a salaryman. We take a look inside what it's like to work in a small Tokyo office as well as to visit clients throughout Tokyo city area. His job experiences maybe unique to his company, but fundamentally he is very much an average salaryman. He commutes by train everyday to get to work and has to ride his mama-chari bike to get to the train station from his home. This Tokyo salaryman life has him arriving to work early and working late. As a salaryman, Makoto receives a standard salary every month for all the long work hours. The Japanese office is also configured so his boss' desk is right in front of him, quite a Japanese style office working environment. This very average Japanese work day and work lifestyle showcases a true day in Japan work life.

Day in the Life of a Typical Japanese Cosplay Worker
A day in the life of a Japanese Anime Cosplayer working in Tokyo Japan. The life of a typical Japanese Worker in the Cosplay world in Tokyo is different than the average Japanese salaryman. The average Japan working hours are completely different for the Japanese worker in Cosplay because of the job requirements are more flexible. Working in Japan can be grueling depending on the Job in Tokyo, but it can be more flexible if you decide. The Cosplayer life is a bit more free than the typical Japanese worker. This day in the life Japan cosplay video can highlight different opportunities working in Japan. There are manga cosplayer or anime cosplayer and it really depends on the Japan cosplayer interests. The cosplay life is not for most, but if you love it like Yuzuchi, a 20 year old Japanese female worker in Japan, then each day can be an enjoyable experience. The average Japanese working day for most salarymen starts between 8AM-9AM and finishes around 6PM - 7PM, but there is also a lot of Japanese overtime depending on the Japanese company. The Japanese worker in Cosplay, is able to start later in the day, but also works quite late as you will see in this video. This Japanese Cosplayer will visit a Japanese studio, meet with a friend for dinner and karaoke and also have late working hours for her online job.

Day in the Life of a Japanese Mom and Baby in Tokyo
This is a day in the life of a Japanese mom and Japanese baby living in Tokyo Japan. This Japanese Family of 3 with Japanese husband shows how life in Tokyo is like for a new Japanese mother raising a Japanese baby. We follow Moe, 27 year old Japanese mother of Sutan, a 9-month old Japanese infant, from morning until evening to show what type of activities a Japanese mom has during the day. Inside of their Japanese home in Tokyo, we can see what type of Japanese house chores she performs, what type of Japanese food she cooks and how she takes care of her Japanese daughter. This probably would not be considered an average Japanese family but many of their activities are that of a typical Japanese family. This day in the life of Japanese housewife and Japanese baby will feature the joys and struggles a mom has raising a Japanese baby for the first time. Life in Japan starts here as baby and you can see how certain behaviors are taught to babies like saying itadakimasu before the baby eats. I hope you enjoy watching the life of this Tokyo family and their life in Tokyo.

Day in the Life of a Japanese Housewife in Tokyo
This is a day in the Life of Japanese Housewife raising a Japanese Kid in Tokyo with Husband. This Japanese family shares their life in Japan and life in Tokyo for an entire day. We follow a Japanese mom and her soon to be 3 year old Japanese daughter inside their Tokyo home to see what they do in the morning all the way until the evening when they go to sleep. Tomomi, 38 years old and child, Karin almost 3 years old spend most of their day in their Tokyo apartment, but they also find some time to leave the house and go to the park. This Japanese family does many typical Japanese family things like make miso soup in the morning and make offering to their home shrine, but they also have their unique aspects of their life. They were kind enough to let us into their Japanese home to see what it is really like being raised in a Japanese home. This day in the life of mom and housewife, should give another perspective on how life in Japan would be if you lived here. I hope you enjoy this video.

What a Japanese Moving Company in Tokyo is like
The Japanese moving company experience is unlike many other countries. This is a Day in the Life of moving Japanese apartments in Tokyo which can be stressful, but using a Japanese moving company can make the move in Japan a bit easier. If you are moving to Japan or moving to Tokyo, this is something you may want to consider. Living in Tokyo and living in Japan has many challenges, but hiring a Japanese moving company made it less so in my personal experience. During the Tokyo move you can see how a day in my life in Japan is like. My life in Tokyo is documented over the next 3 days moving so you can see what living in Japan may be like for you. We use the company Art Moving Center also known as Art Hikkoshi Center ( アート引越センター ). As mentioned in the video, I was not paid for this video, but the company did move our Japanese apartment for free since we were going to film our Japan moving experience. NOTE: I hope that everyone is staying safe and healthy during these times. This video was filmed before Tokyo started recommending a city lockdown. In fact, at the time of uploading this video, Tokyo is still not officially on lockdown and residents are able to go out as they wish, but please know that I am staying at home these days as much as possible, eating meals at home and only venturing out for necessary items such as pregnancy clinic visits, grocery shopping, etc and also practicing social distancing as much as it is possible in Tokyo. And of course, I am not traveling these days.

Day in the Life of a Typical Japanese University Student
A day in Japanese college student life in the greater Tokyo area. Follow a Keio University student from morning until evening. This is a day in the life of University student in Japan attending Keio University, one of the top universities in Japan. Japan university student life is much different than the Japanese salaryman life as college students have a bit more freedom to pursue hobbies, especially in their senior year of school in Japan. An average Japanese student in Tokyo may have between 15-23 course hours per week while a Japan University student 4th year Senior will have much less such as 9 hours of course hours per week. Yusuke, 22 year old Policy Management Major at Keio University lives with his parents in a 2 story house which is commuting distance to school via train and bus. Typical Japanese University life outside of class and study, also allows for part-time jobs and also a social life with friends. In fact, many Japanese students take on part-time jobs and find the time to hang out with friends in groups and join Japanese University Circles. Generally, a typical Japanese student’s class semester grade is based on assignments, presentations, group projects and 1 final exam at the end of the semester. But one interesting aspect about the Japanese university grading system is that many teachers don’t let students know how each category is weighted so students can’t calculate what they need to score on their final exam to earn a specific mark for the class. These are examples of why a Japanese Wife may start hating their foreign husband. As many of you know, I’ve been married to my Japanese wife Maiko, for over 3.5 years now in Japan. During this time I’ve learned first hand quite a bit about what Japanese women culturally expect when living with a Foreign Husband, like me from the United States, so I wanted to share some hopefully useful points. And to be fair, today’s examples of cultural issues are not just from Maiko and I, some points I learned from my married foreign male friends with Japanese wives or my Japanese wife friends with their foreign husbands over many years living in Japan. This is a list of cultural relationship issues, that without compromise, have created many fights, ongoing arguments, resentment, and even hate leading some married couples into divorce. Like many lists like this though, these are generalizations and not every single Japanese woman or foreign man is like this but if you are planning to get married here in Japan these are some things to be aware of so you don’t end up hating your partner. Also, this list can be applied if you’re foreign female with a Japanese husband. Finally, if you’re already married in Japan, let me know how these ones sit with you and if there are any things that I missed.

Day in the Life of a Japanese Working Mom
A day in the life of a Japanese working mother of 2 children living in Tokyo Japan. This is the life of a Typical Japanese family living in Tokyo Japan with both parents working. Hifumi, 27 years old, works in Tokyo and runs her own churro shop while taking care of her 2 Japanese kids. The 2 Tokyo kids usually go to the nursery around 8:30 on weekdays so mornings are usually chaotic on top of her regular work schedule which starts shortly after she drops them off and continues until the afternoon, then she has to juggle the 2 kids schedules picking them up at separate times usually between 3-4 to also shuttle them separately to one of their many extracurricular activities and to finally bring them home just in time for dinner, but since today is a weekend there’s a slower pace to things, nonetheless Hifumi still has to balance some of her work today, while also taking care of her kids. She actually took several years off of work after giving birth, as she struggled mentally to take care of them on her own, while her husband worked to support the family financially. In Japan, it’s common enough for women to completely handle the child rearing responsibilities, that the term, one ope was coined, meaning one parent operation. But ultimately she decided being a Japanese housewife wasn’t for her and eagerly took a production job and eventually started her own business. Being a working mom in Japan isn’t easy, but she definitely prefers being a business owner compared to working at job for some else like when she worked in production. Now, she’s able to better manage and dictate her schedule so she can be flexible for her kids activities. Today, we'll see how this working Japanese mother manages her time between work, home and kids.

What My Japanese Wife Eats in a Day

This is what my Japanese wife normally eats when she’s at home cooking for herself. A very Typical Japanese breakfast, lunch and dinner, especially when I or my 2 year old son is not home with her. This is a day in a Japanese woman's life in Japan when eating all alone. As a Japanese mother it is sometimes difficult to eat these meals as she has to consider what the rest of the family wants to eat, but if she could, she would eat this regularly. For example, my Japanese wife makes tamagoyaki, a Japanese rolled egg omelet, typically eaten for breakfast. The seasonings vary depending on the area of Japan, usually sweeter in the east and a strong dashi with a salty appeal in the west. My wife is from Aichi which is located in the middle, so she prefers it sweet with a strong dashi flavor. And she loves natto, fermented soybeans. It has a uniquely strong scent and flavor along with a gooey texture which for many Japanese is part of their everyday meal. There are many ways to eat natto, like eating it with raw egg or mayonnaise. My wife usually prefers to mix it with one of her many Japanese condiment tubes. Today, she’s going with grated ginger.

What Getting Married in Japan is Really like
We got married in Japan and I wanted to share what a Japanese marriage is like. We are an international couple in Japan. Maiko is a Japanese women and I am an American man living in Tokyo. Getting married in Japan is fairly straightforward as you'll see. You have to fill out a wedding registration form and submit the form to the Japanese city hall. We also discuss a Japanese Wedding Ceremony and the related costs for us and our guests. This is my experience marrying a Japanese women and having an international marriage in Japan.

What Inside an Average Japanese Family's Home is like New Year's Holiday
Life in Japan - This is how an average Japanese family celebrates New Year in Japan inside their Japanese home. The typical Japanese family will all return to their Japan house and spend the time to together. A house in Japan especially the countryside is 2 stories with 3 bedrooms living room bathroom kitchen and a tatami room. During this New Year Holiday in Japan, an average Japanese family will eat Japanese New Year Foods like Osechi and Ozoni as well as traditional Japanese foods from their hometown Prefecture. Because this family's father is originally from Nagano prefecture, we ate that area's food. We also do hatsumode and visit a Japanese Shrine for the first time during the New Year. This is what an average Japanese home does during the Japan New Year Holiday.

MAIKO'S MAKEUP CHANNEL (It's in Japanese with English sub) :
During New Year's in Japan, Japanese families usually gather and spend time together. Those living in major cities like Tokyo, will often return home to their respective countryside homes. Just like the Christmas Holidays in western countries. So for this New Year’s Holiday, Maiko and I decided to spend it with her family.
For a Japanese New Year dinner it really depends on the family and where they live. Maiko’s family’s dinner is based on the traditional in Nagano Prefecture where her dad is from.
On the menu is Toshitori-zakana, which is grilled yellowtail. Burdock, pickled octopus, marinated herring roe, Namasu, marinated bean curd, Chikuzeni which is a broiled vegetables and chicken, and lots of sashimi. Since Nagano is an inland prefecture seafood used to be considered to be a luxurious food and so it’s a must-have menu item to celebrate the New Year. And my favorite, is the chawanmushi - it’s kind of like a hot steamy egg pudding.
Hatsumode is known as the first Shrine visit of the year. Maiko’s family goes at midnight so we left the house about 15mins before the New Year. It’s standard to go to the family’s local god’s shrine for hatsumode, which is usually the closest one. But it’s also ok to visit other shrines or more than one for hatsumode. If you’re in Tokyo, the main one is Meiji-Jingu.
There’s something magical about being at the Shrine at midnight to welcome in the new year. If you guys ask me what to do for New Years in Japan, I suggest trying this at least once as this so much different than any New Year’s I’ve ever spent.

What New Year's at my Japanese In-Laws House is like
Spending Japan New Year's Holiday at my Japanese wife's parent's house in Aichi Prefecture. This is what it is like living in Japan outside of Tokyo and how Japanese families spend New Year's Eve together and what happens the following days. Life in Japan can be different than most countries, but as long as your able to appreciate Japanese culture and the differences, it can feel like home. We spend time with Maiko's Japanese family including her sister and new husband. Also, Wolfy meets grandpa for the first time in his life. It’s been a lonely few years for many Japanese families, as they’ve avoided returning home for the Holidays and even this year, many areas urged their city family members to avoid travel in fear of getting sick. Luckily for us though, we’re all able to finally get together and welcome both Wolfy and Junya to the family. As many of you know, from following the channel this last year, Maiko and Wolfy had quite a few health issues so I’m personally thankful that our family was able to get through this year. It’s nothing but struggle city when trying to create content while tending to sick family members at the same time. I can wish for nothing more than a healthy family for 2023.

Day in the Life in a Japanese Manga Artist Shared House
A day in the life of a Japanese Mangaka aka Manga Creator living in shared house in Tokyo Japan. This is life in Tokyo and life in Japan as an aspiring manga artists living with other mangaka in the same home. Nobi, 25 years old lives in the outskirts of Tokyo. Now living in this unique shared house reserved for only aspiring Manga artists. He lives with 3 other mangaka under this special program called Tokiwaso which provides a living space in addition to support to help develop a manga artist’s career. We follow his daily routine from when he wakes up in the morning in his Japanese home, what his life is like working in Japan as manga artist as well as what he does at night living in Japan. As an aspiring manga artist, his daily schedule varies quite a bit as he has the freedom to dictate his working hours, whether it be spending all his waking moments developing his craft or taking it easy to follow other pursuits. At the end of the day, Nobi knows it’s his personal responsibility to guide his success in becoming a professional mangaka so he puts in the time everyday to create as many opportunities for himself as possible.

【Vlog】DAY IN THE LIFE of My husband working in Tokyo【Asakusa】

Winter is getting close in Tokyo…
It’s really chilly in the night time,
so I took out YUTANPO (a foot warmer with hot water) for our bed time.
This is a series of Ken!
Ken, is the owner of the channel and also my husband.
Ken works mainly as a scenario/script writer of TV and radio in Tokyo.
He does not have a fixed office.
So he moves town to another town, cafe to another cafe,
just with his MacBook and does his daily job every day.
That’s how he works! and this is a DAY in his life Vlog.
Ken went to see his good old friend in “浅草 Asakusa” on his day off.
Asakusa is a town where you can enjoy the good old tradition of Japan.
The famous Red lantern shrine “浅草寺 Senso-ji”, sits in the center of the area.
There are historical architectures like “五重の塔 Gojyu-no-tou”, Five-storied pagoda,
“仲見世商店街Nakamise sho-ten-gai”, a shopping arcade with small shops, food stand and restaurants where you can enjoy local street food.
There are over 30 million tourists per year, visiting Asakusa from in and out of Japan.
In this video, there are many great places that are not on famous guide books.

Seeing how to make “扇子Sensu”, Japanese paper folding fan, which is quite rare.

Our traditional Japanese home - Moving to Japan in 2022
We are moving to Japan in 2022. With this video, we want to show you the traditional home of my grandparents, where we are going to stay in the beginning. My grandparents built this house 61 years ago in a traditional Japanese way. It is from a temple carpenter, and my family always took good care of it, so everything looks really beautiful. We will start our small tour through the house at our Japanese garden.

Day in the Life of a Japanese Manga Creator
Mangaka day in the life in Japan also known as a Manga artist and manga creator. This documentary style video show the life of Mangaka from morning until the evening at the mangaka workplace, home and general mangaka working schedule. Working in Japan and Tokyo life is unique in itself, but even more unique for a Manga artist creating manga in Tokyo Japan. Mangaka illustrate manga commonly known as comic book. Maybe in Western societies, Mangaka are referred to as cartoonist or comic book illustrators. Manga creators in Japan with rensai status work with publishers to produce weekly manga. This Manga artist day in the life follows Reiji Miyajima 宮島礼吏 , who lives in Tokyo Japan and creates the manga Kanajo okarishimasu 彼女お借りします which translates to Rent a Girlfriend. Mangaka working in Japan often work in their home and set aside office space for them and their assistants. In fact, we also get a look into Mangaka Assistant life as well as how manga is created. Many Manga Creators work on serial comic books with weekly deadlines, meaning that each day of the work week in Japan is different as the manga creation process has to produce 1 new manga per week. Manga artist must not only know how to draw and create manga, but they also must know how to manage manga assistants. We even touch on Mangaka salary for first time manga creators. An inside look on how manga and comic books are made in Japan.

Day in the Life of a Japanese Game Illustrator
A day in the life of a Japanese Square Enix Game Illustrator. Square Enix is one of the top video game developers in Japan, creating ultra popular titles known-worldwide such as Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts and making it all happen, 3700 hard working employees. Today, we follow a Japanese Game Illustrator working in the Japanese game development company from morning until the evening. We show what a typical work day in Japan would be including her typical work hours as a Japanese game illustrator working for Square Enix. We also see her morning routine and after work hobbies. Also this is what it would be like working for a popular Japanese game company and the different staff you may come across during a typical work day. The Japanese game industry has so many different jobs so it was great to be able to show another job outside of game development and game programming. Rubi has been working as a video game illustrator in Japan for 6 years now. Even as a little girl she loved to draw but growing up couldn’t envision a proper career where she could pursue her passion. So she entered University majoring in a completely different field, but when her job hunting started, she discovered that there were prestigious Japanese companies were offering illustration jobs. Recognizing the opportunity, she convinced her parents to let her study Character Design at a Professional Training College, ultimately leading to her dream job at her current company, Square Enix and working with Art Directors like Toshiyuki Itahana.
