We Got KICKED OUT of our RV Park | Fulltime RV Living | The Downside to Fulltime RV Life

Think there's NO DRAMA in RV life? Think again! Our video highlights what happens when you choose the wrong campground to spend a week relaxing and unwinding! While we do give some consideration to user reviews, we don't always mark a campground off our list just because of a handful of poor reviews! Unfortunately, we paid the price this time and will now consider ALL reviews that pertain to power shortages and general upkeep! Let our mistake save you the drama of dealing with a park manager that thinks your big rig is taking all the power out of their park. One highlight that came from this huge inconvenience, is that our next campground, just outside of Glacier National Park, was able to accommodate us four days early! Thanks to getting kicked out, we got to see Glacier three times instead of just once, which we originally had planned! Oh, and our new campground had plenty of electricity for ALL of the rigs in their campground and was well kept!

NORTH GEORGIA: From BRASSTOWN BALD to DAHLONEGA - the BEST places to visit

Join a journey to the North of the state Georgia - from Georgia's highest mountain Brasstown Bald, to the remote Helton Creek Falls, through the Chattahoochee National Forest to the scenic town Dahlonega.

I always used to think, that nothing can go wrong, when traveling the mountains. Because the mountains is where I feel at home. But Northern Georgia and its scenic Blueridge Mountains had its own challenges waiting. Dense fog, adventurous watercrossings and a stunning ride that took me to Brasstown Bald, Helton Creek falls and to the most beautiful roads of the Chattahoochee National Forest all the way to the town Dahlonega. Enjoy a roadtrip to Northern Gerorgia's best destinations.

My highlights of the journey:
- Book a night at Brasstown Valley Resort to unwind and have the perfect base for trips in the nearby area
- Visit the highest point of the state: the mountain Brasstown Bald. The native Cherokee peoples name for Brasstown Bald is Enotah and It is located in the northeastern part of the state in the Blue Ridge Mountains and is supposed to have the best views of the whole state. On a clear day, it is possible to see the tall buildings of Atlanta, 85 miles or 136 kilometers away, from the summit
- Visit the remote Helton Creek Waterfalls. The Helton Creek road is a nice serviced forest road - if you ride the full lenght and do a roundtrip, you will have to cross the creek twice.
- From Highway 19 turn off to route 180 direction Suches and then turn north west on route 60 to Blue Ridge.
- Explore the Chattahoochee National Forest . It may best be known as the southern end of the Appalachian Trail. The expansive forest area sprawls over 750,000 acres or 3000 square kilometers of protected forest land in the North Georgia mountains. Indeed one of the best times of visiting is not spring but autumn, to enjoy the leaves turning from green to yellow to red
- Stay a night in the scenic town Dahlonega. Dahlonega is also called the heart of the Georgia mountains. Site of the first major U.S. Gold Rush and the center of Georgia Wine Country, Dahlonega is nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, and a popular destination for weekend trips from Atlanta, which is only an hour drive.
- Meet and have a chat with all the friendly locals :)

I’ve got Georgia on mind. How about you? Georgia is home to more than 10.8 million people. This number continues to grow each year thanks to the influx of new residents who are drawn in by the many charms that Peach State is famous for. It doesn’t matter whether you are more of a city dweller who enjoys the hustle and bustle of the concrete jungle or prefers a place that’s a bit more tranquil and laid-back, as you’ll have plenty of amazing cities, towns, and villages to choose from when considering a move to what’s been called the Empire State of the South.

What’s not to love about Georgia? It’s the home of iconic things like the Blue Ridge Mountains, Coca-Cola, and everyone’s favorite after-hours hangover cure Waffle House. If the devil himself can be vanquished with just a humble fiddle down in Georgia, can you imagine what other sorts of victories await you there?

Regardless of whether you’re planning on moving the whole family, seeking out a college town that will accommodate your academic ambitions, or scoping out your dream retirement destination, in this video, we’ll go ahead and throw you a bone by helping you narrow down the best places to live in this distinctly southern yet markedly modern state.

Brasstown Bald GA 4K /Georgia's Highest Peak(DJI Mavic Air 2 Footage) Drone Shots from the top of GA

Brasstown Bald is the highest point in the U.S. state of Georgia. It is located in the northeastern part of the state in the Blue Ridge Mountains on the border between Towns and Union counties south of the city of Hiawassee. The mountain is known to the native Cherokee people as Enotah.

The name in English is derived from a mistaken translation of the term for the nearby Cherokee village of Brasstown, located along the upper Brasstown Creek (named in English from the same error) feeding the Hiawassee River.

Across the North Carolina state line, immediately north of the mountain, are other places named in that error of English settlers: Brasstown, a community in the Brasstown township of Clay County, North Carolina.

Brasstown Bald is partly in both Towns and Union counties, the peak being divided by the county line. The mountain is part of the Blue Ridge Mountains (part of the Appalachian Mountains), and within the borders of the Blue Ridge Ranger District of the Chattahoochee National Forest. The mountain consists mostly of soapstone and dunite.

On a clear day, it is possible to see the tall buildings of Atlanta, some 85 miles away, from the summit. The U.S. Forest Service has webcams atop the observation tower, and a RAWS weather station further down the mountain. The public can drive to a parking lot 0.5 miles (0.8 km) from the top via Georgia State Route 180 Spur, then continue to the summit via a shuttle or a short hike on a paved trail.

According to the two Georgia historical markers, the area surrounding Brasstown Bald was settled by the Cherokee people. English-speaking settlers derived the word Brasstown from a translation error of the Cherokee word for its village place. Settlers confused the word Itse'yĭ (meaning New Green Place or Place of Fresh Green), which the Cherokee used for their village, with Ûňtsaiyĭ (brass), and referred to the settlement as Brasstown. The Cherokee gave the locative name, Itse'yĭ, to several distinct areas in their territory, including an area nearby in what is considered present-day North Carolina.

According to Cherokee legend about Itse'yĭ, a great flood swept over the land. All the people died except a few Cherokee families who sought refuge in a giant canoe. The canoe ran aground at the summit of a forested mountain (now known as Enotah). As there was no wild game for the people to hunt and no place for them to plant crops, the Great Spirit killed all the trees on the top of the mountain so that the surviving people could plant crops. They continued planting and lived from their crops until the water subsided.

The Brasstown Bald Visitors Center sits atop Georgia's highest
mountain at 4,784 feet above sea level. Surrounded by the Chattahoochee - Oconee
National Forest, its cloud level observation deck offers stunning 360-degree
views of the Southern Appalachian Mountains and valleys. On a clear day, one
can see four states. The unique circular building is home to an 8,000 sq. ft.
museum featuring interactive cultural and natural history exhibits. A short
film about the dramatic weather and changing seasons at Brasstown Bald plays
regularly in the mountain top theater. The summit can be accessed from the
parking lot by shuttle service or hiking the half-mile Summit Trail. More
hiking trails are also available for your enjoyment. There is a gift shop at
the parking lot offering forest related merchandise, including locally made
goods. A small fee is required for park entry and the shuttle bus. A $2.00 pass is for people that have the access pass or senior pass IF they want to take the shuttle. It’s free for those individuals if they walk the summit trail to the tower. Enjoy
picnicking, hiking, and scenic views.

Hope you enjoy the view of Georgia's Highest Peak. Hope you enjoy the views from an Bird's Eye View!
