GoPro HyperSmooth & Time Warp Explained
Allow me to explain and demonstrate two great features of the new GoPro Hero 7 Black. HyperSmooth is image stabilization that allows you to use your GoPro handheld but yields picture quality similar to if you had mounted the camera on a gimbal. Time Warp is similar to a time lapse video, only you can do it with the camera handheld and without having to mount it on a tripod or use any other method of locking the camera down on to something.
These two new technologies on the Hero 7 Black are very advanced, and seeing them demonstrated in this video gives you a pretty good visual demonstration of what they really do.
I find these features very helpful in creating travel videos without having to use a tripod or a gimbal.

WATCH THIS BEFORE YOU BUY A SONY RX0 (for video/vlogging)!!
I test out the new Sony RX0 digital camera for video. Testing to see if it's good for vlogging and run+gun filming. I use GoPro Hero6 footage for reference with the Sony RX0. I explore: exposing video in camera, the small size of the camera, 1080p (no 4k!), poor low light capabilities, no internal timelapse, auto white balance struggles, no auto-focus in video mode, the tiny menu + tiny buttons and limited battery life.
UPDATE (11/22/17) - Sony is releasing a plate adapter for the front of the camera where you can mount ND Filters! This will fix the exposure problem! LINKS BELOW! Still not sure this will be a good camera for vlogging, especially if you are not more advanced with videography. But if you are more advance you could figure it out!

I've heard a lot about Gopro's new Hero Hypersmooth feature and wanted to see how it compared to an actual Gimbal. So I mounted a Hero 5 on my EVO GP Pro electronic Gimbal and my Hero 7 Black on Gopro's 3-1 grip.
FYI: I was curious about the audio differences between the Hero 5 and Hero 7 Black but my Hero 5 audio was washed out by the servo noise in my Gimbal. Sorry about that, I wasn't expecting that since I generally use an external mic for that setup. The majority of the audio in this video comes from the Hero 7 Black.

GoPro Hero8 v Canon G7X Mark II - Side-by-side comparison
I got a new camera! Went to test GoPro Hero8 v Canon G7X whilst driving through Downtown Calgary.
It's all new to me but I got a chance to play around with the GoPro since filming this video and I'm obsessed! So many cool features and so fun for b-roll. Don't think I will be using it for vlogging and will get another Canon in the nearest future but will definitely use GoPro for fun active videos and great photos.
