Scenic Drive From Nice City to Monaco - ???????? France [4K HDR] Driving Tour

A virtual ride by vehicle from Nice along the Promenade and the A8 Motorway to Monaco. Click here ▶ to see highlights and guide.

(From Wiki).
The Promenade des Anglais is a promenade along the Mediterranean at Nice, France. It extends from the airport on the west to the east, a distance of approximately 7 km. Administratively speaking, it forms part of Route nationale 98, which runs between Toulon and Menton.

The A8 is an extension of the A7 starting to the west of Aix-en-Provence at La Fare-les-Oliviers. The road passes through the Departments of Bouches-du-Rhône, Var and Alpes-Maritimes. It serves the towns of Aix-en-Provence, Fréjus, Saint-Raphaël, Mandelieu-la-Napoule, Cannes, Antibes, Nice, Monaco and Menton before crossing the border where it becomes the A10 in Italy. It crosses the mountain ranges of Sainte-Baume and of Maures between Aix-en-Provence and Fréjus and the Massif de l'Esterel between Saint-Raphaël and Cannes. Following the Grande Corniche the road offers panoramas of the sea between Nice and Menton.

4K Scenic Drive in Cote d'Azur (French Riviera) Menton - Monaco - A8

Côte d'Azur (French Riviera) is the coastline of southeast France and one of the most famous resort areas in Europe.
The drive starts near the border of Italy and visits Manton and Monaco then gets on the Autoroute A8 to the No. 48 exit.
This is the remake of the former video with motion shake and audio noise reduced.

The initial plan was to travel along the coast to Nice after getting Crit'Air (air quality certificate). Still, due to the riots, I refrained from entering the city area and changed to via the highway.
Google Maps route:

00:00 Menton to France / Monaco border
22:48 Monaco to Turbie Toll Gate, A8
44:42 Turbie Toll Gate to No.48 Exit, A8

Monaco 4K - Billionaires' Playground - Sunset Drive

Sunset drive around Monaco, the Billionaires' Playground on the French Riviera. Known for the Formula One Monaco Grand Prix, Monaco Yacht Show, the Monte Carlo Casino, a poverty rate of zero, the highest average life expectancy in the world at 85.8 years, and being widely recognized for being one of the most expensive and wealthiest places in the world, etc. ........And I set the camera up wrong......Let's just imagine everything is perfect with this video ok??? Please?? Hahaha. Thanks everybody! I plan on being back in the south of France again this summer anyway, with a new better camera so I'll try 60fps with the right cam settings.

Starting Point: .
Monaco, officially the Principality of Monaco (French: Principauté de Monaco), is a sovereign city-state and microstate on the French Riviera close to the Italian region of Liguria, in Western Europe. It is bordered by France to the north, east and west, and the Mediterranean Sea to the south. The principality is home to 38,682 residents, of whom 9,486 are Monégasque nationals; it is widely recognised for being one of the most expensive and wealthiest places in the world. The official language is French, although Monégasque (a dialect of Ligurian), Italian and English are spoken and understood by a sizeable group.

With an area of 2.1 km2 (0.81 sq mi), it is the second smallest sovereign state in the world, after Vatican City. Its 19,009 inhabitants per square kilometre (49,230/sq mi) make it the most densely-populated sovereign state in the world. Monaco has a land border of 5.47 km (3.40 mi) and the world's shortest coastline of approximately 3.83 km (2.38 mi);[13] it has a width that varies between 1,700 and 349 m (5,577 and 1,145 ft). The highest point in the state is a narrow pathway named Chemin des Révoires on the slopes of Mont Agel, in the Les Révoires ward, which is 161 metres (528 feet) above sea level. The principality is about 15 km (9.3 mi) from the border with Italy.[14] Its most populous ward is Larvotto/Bas Moulins with a population of 5,443 as of 2008. Through land reclamation, Monaco's land mass has expanded by 20 percent. In 2005, it had an area of only 1.974 km2 (0.762 sq mi). The principality is governed under a form of constitutional monarchy, with Prince Albert II as head of state. Although Prince Albert II is a constitutional monarch, he wields immense political power; the Minister of State is the head of government. The officeholder can be either a Monégasque or French citizen; the monarch consults with the Government of France before an appointment. The House of Grimaldi has ruled Monaco, with brief interruptions, since 1297. The state's sovereignty was officially recognised by the Franco-Monégasque Treaty of 1861, with Monaco becoming a full United Nations voting member in 1993. Despite Monaco's independence and separate foreign policy, its defence is the responsibility of France. However, Monaco does maintain two small military units.

Economic development was spurred in the late 19th century with the opening of the state's first casino, the Monte Carlo Casino, as well as a railway connection to Paris. Since then, Monaco's mild climate, scenery and gambling facilities have contributed to the principality's status as a tourist destination and recreation centre for the rich. In more recent years, Monaco has become a major banking centre and has sought to diversify its economy into the services sector and small, high-value-added, non-polluting industries. The state has no income tax, low business taxes and is well known for being a tax haven. Over 30% of the resident population are millionaires, with real estate prices reaching €100,000 ($142,000) per square metre in 2018. Monaco is not formally a part of the European Union (EU), but it participates in certain EU policies, including customs and border controls. Through its relationship with France, Monaco uses the euro as its sole currency; prior to this it used the Monégasque franc. Monaco joined the Council of Europe in 2004 and is a member of the Organisation internationale de la Francophonie (OIF). It is also the host of the annual street circuit motor race Monaco Grand Prix, one of the original Grands Prix of Formula One. The principality has a club football team, AS Monaco, who compete in the French Ligue 1 and have become French champions on multiple occasions. A centre of research into marine conservation, Monaco is home to one of the world's first protected marine habitats, an Oceanographic Museum and the International Atomic Energy Agency Environment Labs, which is the only marine laboratory in the United Nations structure.

Monaco 4K - Night Drive - Europe's Billionaire Resort City

Thursday night drive around Monaco, the Billionaire's Resort on the French Riviera, known for Superyachts, the Formula One Monaco Grand Prix racing, the Monaco Yacht Show, the Monte Carlo Casino, and much more. Widely recognized for being one of the most expensive and wealthiest places in the world (of course I start the video by driving the entire Formula 1 track!). Filmed on my last visit right after the 2021 Grand Prix. I'm going over a huge amount of older videos for an upcoming project and did not have time to upload this one. Nice to Monaco Scenic Drive in 4K

Scenic Drive from Nice, a Southern French city, to Monaco, a city-state well-known for its casinos and wealthy residents.

Its winding roads were very scenic, and although traffic may form during commute times, it was a pleasant trip. It is good to note that local residents are often not very patient towards tourists who are not going at/even above the speed limit, so it is good to stop from time to time to let cars that are tailgating pass.

Nice, France - Driving Tour 4K

Nice (/niːs/ NEESS, French: [nis]; Niçard: Niça, classical norm, or Nissa, nonstandard, pronounced [ˈnisa]; Italian: Nizza [ˈnittsa]; Ancient Greek: Νίκαια; Latin: Nicaea) is the seventh most populous urban area in France and the prefecture of the Alpes-Maritimes department. The metropolitan area of Nice extends beyond the administrative city limits, with a population of nearly 1 million on an area of 744 km2 (287 sq mi). Located on the French Riviera, the southeastern coast of France on the Mediterranean Sea, at the foot of the French Alps, Nice is the second-largest French city on the Mediterranean coast and second-largest city in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region after Marseille. Nice is approximately 13 kilometres (8.1 mi) from the principality of Monaco and 30 kilometres (19 mi) from the French–Italian border. Nice's airport serves as a gateway to the region.

The city is nicknamed Nice la Belle (Nissa La Bella in Niçard), meaning 'Nice the Beautiful', which is also the title of the unofficial anthem of Nice, written by Menica Rondelly in 1912. The area of today's Nice contains Terra Amata, an archaeological site which displays evidence of a very early use of fire 380,000 years ago. Around 350 BC, Greeks of Marseille founded a permanent settlement and called it Νίκαια, Nikaia, after Nike, the goddess of victory. Through the ages, the town has changed hands many times. Its strategic location and port significantly contributed to its maritime strength. From 1388 it was a dominion of Savoy, then became part of the French First Republic between 1792 and 1815, when it was returned to the Kingdom of Piedmont-Sardinia, the legal predecessor of the Kingdom of Italy, until its re-annexation by France in 1860.

The natural environment of the Nice area and its mild Mediterranean climate came to the attention of the English upper classes in the second half of the 18th century, when an increasing number of aristocratic families took to spending their winters there. In 1931, following its refurbishment the city's main seaside promenade, the Promenade des Anglais (Walkway of the English), was inaugurated by Prince Arthur, Duke of Connaught; it owes its name to visitors to the resort. These included Queen Victoria along with her son Edward VII who spent winters there, as well as Henry Cavendish, born in Nice, who discovered hydrogen.

The clear air and soft light have particularly appealed to notable painters, such as Marc Chagall, Henri Matisse, Niki de Saint Phalle and Arman. Their work is commemorated in many of the city's museums, including Musée Marc Chagall, Musée Matisse and Musée des Beaux-Arts.International writers have also been attracted and inspired by the city. Frank Harris wrote several books including his autobiography My Life and Loves in Nice. Friedrich Nietzsche spent six consecutive winters in Nice, and wrote Thus Spoke Zarathustra here. Additionally, Russian writer Anton Chekhov completed his play Three Sisters while living in Nice.

Nice's appeal extended to the Russian upper classes, Prince Nicholas Alexandrovich, heir apparent to Imperial Russia died in Nice and was a patron of the Russian Orthodox Cemetery, Nice where Princess Catherine Dolgorukova, morganatic wife of the Tsar Alexander II of Russia, is buried. As are General Dmitry Shcherbachev and General Nikolai Yudenich leaders of the anti-Communist White Movement.

Those interred in Nice at the Cimetière du Château, include celebrated jeweler Alfred Van Cleef, Emil Jellinek-Mercedes, founder of the Mercedes car company, film director Louis Feuillade, poet Agathe-Sophie Sasserno, dancer Carolina Otero, Asterix comics creator René Goscinny, The Phantom of the Opera author Gaston Leroux, French prime minister Léon Gambetta, and the first president of the International Court of Justice José Gustavo Guerrero.

Because of its historical importance as a winter resort town for the European aristocracy and the resulting mix of cultures found in the city, UNESCO proclaimed Nice a World Heritage Site in 2021. The city has the second largest hotel capacity in the country, and it is one of its most visited cities, receiving 4 million tourists every year. It also has the third busiest airport in France, after the two main Parisian ones. It is the historical capital city of the County of Nice (French: Comté de Nice, Niçard: Countèa de Nissa).

Driving narrow streets of Monaco and then along the French Riviera coast to Nice. Have a nice watch!

Driving from Nice to Monaco:

Nice Drive in 4K

Day Drive in Nice, a Southern French city, filmed during a nice summer day, in 4K. The city is located in the French Riviera, also known as Côte d'Azur.

We found the streets of the city to be very narrow, so be careful on the type of car that you drive there. Also, it is good to note that the region that your car is coming from (as indicated on your plate) will be a deciding factor in how much drivers will honk at you. We noticed that there was an overall negative sentiment towards people coming from Paris as opposed to neighboring Southern regions.

Another thing to note is that there were frequent sirens from emergency cars wanting to pass. In those cases, it is good to be mindful of how the pavements are built to avoid damages to the car (example at 9:45).
