This is a continuation of our multiple-part series from our epic 8 day road trip around the Salta region of Northwestern Argentina. In this episode we don't do too much road tripping as we're actually spending a few days in Cafayate, but it's probably best that we didn't drive very much because there was a lot of wine drinking going on!

ARGENTINA: EXPLORING JUJUY - PURMAMARCA TO HUMAHUACA - TRIP & ITINERARY
JUJUY || PURMAMARCA || HILL OF SEVEN COLORS (Cerro de los Siete Colores) || MAIMARÁ || PAINTER'S PALETTE || HUMAHUACA || SERRANÍA DE HORNOCAL
After our journey from Salta, we spent the night in Purmamarca and decided to climb the mountain early morning to see the town from above, and witness the beautiful Hill of Seven Colors. It was so worth the climb!... It was magnificent! Little did we know, it was only the beginning...
As we traveled further north towards Humahuaca, we stopped at a little town called Maimara where the backdrop of a mountain called the Painter's Palette looked... like a painters pallet! The colours were numerous, vivid and beautiful.. OMG! we thought, this was even better than the last one!
It can't get any better than this, we thought...
But wait! Our jaw literary dropped as we drove closer and got a glimpse of el Hornocal. Is this real!?? Seriously, the most spectacular view we have ever seen! The multicolored mountains in Jujuy took our breath away...

Visitando JUJUY, Argentina ???????? | Tour de un VIÑEDO DE ALTURA ???? + QUEBRADA de las SEÑORITAS en Uquía
En el video de hoy, continuamos nuestro viaje en auto por el norte argentino, esta vez visitando un viñedo en Jujuy. Mientras ibamos manejando de Tilcara a Humahuaca, vimos un viñedo a lo largo de la ruta que resultó ser Viñas del Perchel donde producen vinos de extrema altura sobre el Trópico de Capricornio. Aquí conocimos a Mabel quien nos dió un tour del viñedo y nos explicó como logran producir vinos en estas alturas. Fue muy interesante aprender sobre el proceso y los desafíos que tienen en este terreno. Al final de nuestra visita, compramos 3 botellas de vinos jujeños para probar - ya habíamos probado varios vinos salteños, pero estos fueron nuestros primeros vinos de Jujuy y salieron muy buenos! Durante nuestro paseo por Jujuy, también manejamos al pueblo de Uquía donde visitamos la Quebrada de las Señoritas donde vimos unos paisajes hermosos con colores terracotta y rojo intenso - nos hizo acordar mucho al Suroeste de los Estados Unidos. Esperamos que disfruten este episodio y ya nos vemos en el próximo video donde los llevamos a pasear por la Pucará de Tilcara. Hasta la próxima!

Paseo por SALTA La Linda + Vistas desde el CERRO SAN BERNARDO en Argentina
En el video de hoy continuamos nuestro paseo por Salta ya que este era nuestro último día en la ciudad. En la mañana salimos a caminar con la intención de visitar el Museo Pajcha de Arte Étnico Americano para aprender un poco más sobre los pueblos originarios, pero el museo resultó estar cerrado. Continuamos nuestro recorrido a pie visitando la Plaza Gral. Don Martin Miguel de Güemes, que lleva el nombre de el líder de la Guerra Gaucha quien detuvo seis invasiones del ejército español. También visitamos la Catedral de Salta que es un monumento histórico nacional y uno de los puntos turísticos en la ciudad. De ahí, fuimos al aeropuerto a buscar el auto que habíamos alquilado para los próximos días, así que en los videos a seguir ya nos vamos a estar mobilizando un poco más por las provincias de Salta y Jujuy. En la tarde, fuimos a almorzar al restaurante El Charrúa, donde comimos un vacio al horno, matambre a la pizza y agnolotti...y luego panqueques con dulce de leche, y queso y dulce de postre. En la tarde también subimos al Cerro San Bernardo para disfrutar las vistas panorámicas de la cuidad, y ese más o menos fue nuestro día en Salta. Ya nos vemos pronto con más video donde continuamos nuestro recorrido por el norte argentino!

XTGFAMILY, qui sommes-nous?
Nous sommes Julien et Marie avec nos 3 enfants, Manon 12 ans, Alicya 8 ans et Alex 4 ans.
Nous avons décidé de sortir du quotidien qui nous enferme et de profiter de la vie.
Julien était conducteur d’engins et Marie Ingénieur dans une société de travaux de dépollution. Nous avons tout vendu et décidé de quitter la vie métro, boulot, dodo, pour partir voir le monde.
En juillet 2017 nous avons acheté un ancien camion 4x4 militaire de l’armée allemande (MAN KAT) sur lequel nous avons posé une caisse frigo que nous avons aménagée.
Notre objectif faire Ushuaïa-Alaska. Nous sommes partis en Novembre 2019 pour l’Amérique du Sud, après être passés par l'Uruguay, le Brésil et le Paraguay, la pandémie nous a stoppé en Argentine. Nous visitons depuis ce beaux pays en attendant l'ouverture des frontières pour poursuivre l'aventure. La durée ? Le plus longtemps possible!
