Suva was founded in 1849 and became the new capital of Fiji in 1882. It became a city in 1952. Levuka was the old capital of Fiji.
There are many historical facts about the place which could not have been covered in the video as the pace had to be faster to cover the most.
Thanks to my friend Akanisi Vuiyasawa for accompanying me in one of my trips to record the video and highlight the places of interest.

Hired a car & driving In Suva Fiji during a Royal Caribbean cruise on Voyager of the Seas
When our South Pacific cruise aboard Royal Caribbean's Voyager of the Seas docked at Suva, Fiji, we decided to hire a car and check out the city ourselves. Driving in Suva is definitely an interesting experience, much like driving in Honiara, but with traffic lights and somewhat better roads. If you are thinking about hiring a car, look out for pretty much everything! Note the video is at about 8x speed.
