Visit Romania - The most beautiful attractions and places
The Transfăgărășan (trans (over, across) + Făgăraș) or DN7C is a mountain paved road crossing the southern section of the Carpathian Mountains. It has a national-road ranking and it is the second-highest paved road in Romania after Transalpina. The road starts near the village of Bascov, located near the city of Pitesti, ending on the crossroad between DN1 and Sibiu. Also known as Ceaușescu's Folly,[1] it was built as a strategic military route that stretches 90 km with twists and turns that run north to south across the tallest sections of the Southern Carpathians, between the highest peaks in the country, Moldoveanu, and the second-highest, Negoiu. The road connects the historic regions of Transylvania and Wallachia and the cities of Sibiu and Pitești.

A fost numită chiar de Top Gear, cea mai frumoasă șosea din lume, și pe bună dreptate!

Romania - Transfagarasan The Greatest Driving Road In The World 4k View
The road climbs to an altitude of 2,042 metres (6,699 ft), making it the second highest mountain pass in Romania after the Transalpina. It is a winding road, dotted with steep hairpin turns, long S-curves, and sharp descents. It is both an attraction and a challenge for hikers, cyclists, drivers and motorcycle enthusiasts.[3] Due to the topography, the average speed is around 40 km/h (25 mph). The road also provides access to Bâlea Lake and Bâlea Waterfall.

A short video that was shot on my DJI Mavic Pro. My girfriend and I went on a short road trip that took us through the Szekely Land, we drove by the Red Lake(Lacul Rosu),through the Bicaz Gorge(Cheile Bicazului) and reached our destination, the city of Piatra Neamt. On our way back we decided to visit the Bicaz-Stejaru Dam. Unfortunately our visit was cut short due to bad weather.
