Bosnia & Herzegovina 2. Low cost travels, Free huts in Dinaric Alps, Free hot springs in Banja Luka

Extremely Low Cost Travels - Bosnia and Herzegovina - Episode 2 - Treskavica lakes and Banja Luka free hot springs

Elementary school girl shows that even in COVID times and with very small financial resources it is possible to organize amazing trips all over Europe. With own supplies and free accomodation in mountain huts or in a tent it is possible to greatly reduce the costs of expeditions to many fantastic places in Europe. The current episode was a surprise for us. We didn't expect to find in Bosnia free mointain huts in good condition. There are not many of these huts around but the ones that exist are well equipped and it is very nice to spend there nights.
Bosnia and Herzegovina offers unusually beautiful mountain landscapes, vast open spaces, clean environment and mountains mountins free of commerce. A nice surprise for us became free hot mineral springs in Banja Luka.

If you value non-standard ways of traveling, cheap, low budget trips to the wild, accommodation in tents and beautiful landscapes away from the crowd, then you might be interested in this video.

The total cost of one-week expedition from Poland to Bosnia and back (total distance of about 2500km) was around 60€ per person (3 people in the car).

We are planning other expeditions like the one presented in this video.
We consider trips all over Europe and Asia.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS of MOSTAR | Why you NEED to visit BOSNIA & HERZEGOVINA ????????

Hey, everyone! Welcome to our first #Bosnia #travelvlog!

After leaving Croatia, we drove to Mostar, Bosnia & Herzegovina. Mostar completely took us by surprise! It is a beautiful UNESCO town full of cobblestoned streets, old architecture, and home to the most picturesque bridge we have ever seen, Stari Most.

In this video we show you everything we were able to eat, see, and do with 48 hours in Mostar! On our first day we take a walking tour through the city, watch the locals dive off of the famous bridge, and enjoy a traditional Bosnian meal. The next day we visit the stunning Kravice waterfalls, a Dervish monastery, and hike up to an old abandoned fortress.

If you are planning a trip to the Balkans, be sure not miss out on Mostar!

If you enjoyed this video please leave us a like, comment, and SUBSCRIBE! Thank you :)

DANGEROUS Travel Experience in BOSNIA & HERZEGOVINA...

Welcome to this budget travel series of adventure and kindness, through the Balkan countries. Apo from Around the Good World is traveling the around the Balkans, having only 200€ in his pocket for 2 months!

On this episode, I left Sarajevo the capital of Bosnia & Herzegovina for Mostar again. I stayed at Mario's couchsurfing house there and I also met Irfan who showed me around and did my laundry! After 2 days, I started hitchhiking my way to Montenegro. Let's say that it wasn't that easy to hitchhike on that route, so I had to sleep in a football field, at a random village before next day that finally arrived close to the border and decided to take the bus from there, all the way to Kotor. It was inside the bus station, when this incident with this drunk guy happened and destroyed my mood, to arrive some hours later in Kotor...

BOSNIA IN JULY road trip travel vlog (How we spent THE BEST 3 DAYS IN SARAJEVO AND MOSTAR)

We spend 3 days exploring THE BEST OF BOSNIA! We start our BOSNIAN ROAD TRIP with stops at Kravice Waterfalls and Pocitelj before heading to Sarajevo. We take walking tours through Sarajevo and try some DELICIOUS BOSNIAN FOOD. Our adventure continues in Mostar where we explore the beautiful old town of Mostar.

On this episode of Mapping It, we spend three days road tripping around Bosnia. Our first day is spent driving from Split, in Croatia, to Sarajevo, in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Our first stop on the five hour drive is Kravice Waterfalls - a very scenic massive waterfall that you can swim at! After getting jealous at everyone swimming (because we didn’t know you could swim there, so we were unprepared), we head to the riverside town of Pocitelj.

Pocitelj was brutally destroyed during the civil war in the 1990s and then carefully rebuilt. It’s now a great example of Ottoman architecture.

We wrap up our time exploring the Bosnian countryside with a delicious meal of spit-roasted lamb at Restoran Kovacevic Jablanica.

We finally make it to Sarajevo at the end of the first day of our EPIC BOSNIAN ROAD TRIP. We have 24 hours to explore the city so we decide to join two SARAJEVO WALKING TOURS to learn more about the history of Sarajevo.

In between tours, we walk through the old town and have some incredible food! We try Cevapi and Burek and instantly fall in love with the delicious flavors of Bosnia and Herzegovina!

If you want to join the same walking tours we did, you can find the free tours via this link (not sponsored):

With our time in Sarajevo coming to a close, we head over to Mostar to explore this beautiful city in Bosnia and Herzegovina! We enjoy some delicious meals, including an epic meat platter with Cevapi! We visit some iconic spots in Mostar including Stari Most, the historic old bridge, and a beautiful mosque. We make a detour to explore Blagaj and the old Turkish monastery that’s tucked into a cave. We also stop at a Bosnian grocery store and pick up some tasty snacks. Join us as we explore Mostar!

We hope you enjoy coming along on our adventures!

Here’s a link to the hotel we stayed at (not sponsored), called Kriva Ćuprija, we booked directly with the hotel and had a great experience and highly recommend:

The songs used in this episode are from Epidemic Sound:

We're Karin and Jeremy! Just an average couple with a love for travel. We work full-time jobs that only offer limited vacation time, so we work hard to get the most out of our holidays. Join us on our adventures as we maximize our time off on Mapping It.

Trebinje, Bosnia: Yugloslavian Diversity - Rick Steves’ Europe Travel Guide - Travel Bite

More information about travel to Bosnia: Bosnia was the former Yugoslavia's cultural crossroads, home to its three major ethnic groups: Croats, Serbs, and Bosniaks. Each group adopted a different religion, brought to Yugoslavia by various emperors, missionaries, and sultans. Sadly, these differences led to the region's violent conflict in the 1990s. Discover BOSNIA & HERZEGOVINA | One of Europe's Hidden Secrets!

============================================================

In today’s video we visualize impressions from our trip to Bosnia and Herzegovina. We rather coincidentally became aware of this destination. We had limited knowledge in advance of our trip and got caught off guard by the beautiful landscapes, historic towns and the hospitality of its inhabitants.

On our arrival in Sarajevo we rented a car and traveled to Mostar (2 hours by car). We stayed in a great Airbnb with an amazing view of Stari Most (old stone bridge) and an incredible breakfast. The old town of Mostar is touristy but worth visiting.

2 days later we continued our journey and stopped at the Kravica waterfalls and in Počitelj - a small village with an impressive fortress and a wonderful view of the Neretva Valley. After a day full of impressions we arrived at Boračko Jezero - a lake in the mountains 1,5 hours from Mostar. We hardly saw other tourists around the lake and it seemed as the time has stood still.

On our return journey to Sarajevo we stopped in Blagaj and Konjic. In Blagaj you can find the Buna fountain with crystal-clear water and a 600 years old Dervish monastery. Konjic is famous for its old stone bridge.

Our journey through Bosnia and Herzegovina has been a wonderful experience and our expectations were exceeded. The country offers a great mix of nature and culture away from mass tourism. We can highly recommend to add Bosnia and Herzegovina to your bucket list.

Road Trip Through Bosnia & Herzegovina

First impressions of Bosnia & Herzegovina weren't the best, but from that point forward everything improved dramatically. We absolutely loved this country and can't wait to return.

We stayed in 2 places: Sarajevo and Mostar and did little trips around those cities in our car. Definitely worth visiting if you're in the region.

Bosnia and Herzegovina (Worldview w/ Captain Kurt)

Bosnia and Herzegovina is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Eastern Europe. But, between 1992 and 1995 a brutal civil war threatened to destroy the region. In this episode of Worldview, Captain Kurt offers an overview of the events and the beauty of the area. In Part Two of Bosnia, we'll look at what happened after the war.

OFF-ROAD Bosnia & Herzegovina | Balkan Road Trip Adventure ????????

Join us as we travel through Bosnia and Herzegovina's lesser-known inland regions, taking the most exciting dirt track routes we can find and trying not to get stranded in the snow.

01m20s - Abandoned Igman Olympic Ski Jumps
9m18s - Tito's Fist
12m15s - Dirt tracks in the forest
24m39 - Hot springs in Banja Luka

This episode opens with yet more glorious snow, this time bringing to life the history of the now-abandoned Igman Olympic Ski Jumps, which stand as a visible reminder of Bosnia's not-so-distant dark past.

We leave the snow behind us and continue our journey North, but not for long as we spend another snowy night camped up beneath the remains of a curious communist monument nicknamed Tito's Fist.

The next day we head off in search of adventure, taking a series of increasingly testing dirt tracks through inland Bosnia's extensive pine forests, before ending up in the city of Banja Luka to check out some beautiful hot springs on a river bed.

1 Day in Mostar ► Bosnia & Herzegovina Travel Vlog

Join me, Vivi, in my trip around the world! This 'episode' I spend one day and night in Mostar in Bosnia & Herzegovina!
(Life has gotten in the way of editing, I filmed it around June 2018. But enjoy anyway, it's all still relevant I promise!)
In this episode I visit Mostar in Bosnia and Herzegovina!
I took the train from Sarajevo, tickets can only be purchased at the train station so be sure to arrive in time to buy them.
I stayed at Hostel Balkaneros and took the day tour offered by the hostel. We visited an abandoned aircraft hanger, Blagaj Monastery, Pocitelj, Kravice Falls and Fortica lookout.
Afterwards I joined a few guests into the old town to explore and we had a few drinks at Alibaba, a pretty cool club in a cave!

If you enjoyed this video, don't forget to like and subscribe for more to come (I still have quite a few videos to edit!)
