Blue Mountains Australia Vlog (It's Crazy!) | Sydney 3 of 3

One of the BEST things we've ever done! We're in the Blue Mountains Australia, just outside of Sydney, checking out the Three Sisters and Scenic World - you won't believe... Get Surfshark VPN at — Enter promo code DANDS for 85% off and 3 extra months for FREE!... ⬇ More Below ⬇

Welcome back to our final Sydney episode and our last time in Australia for a while. In this vlog we're in the Blue Mountains checking out the Three Sisters and heading into Scenic World - it's EPIC!

The Blue Mountains National Park is a World Heritage area about 90 min drive west of Sydney out to Katoomba. The Blue Mountains get their name from the natural blue haze created by surrounding eucalypt forests and the area is famous for its natural attractions: rugged sandstone tablelands, dramatic peaks and valleys, waterfalls, rainforests, lookouts and canyons. The National Park spans across 267,954 hectares of land with over 140 kilometres of walking trails.

The highlight of the area is known to be the Three Sisters, but the REAL highlight is Scenic World! Scenic World has all the same epic views with the bonus of some world class attractions — like the world's steepest railway and the 2.4 kilometre walkway, the longest boardwalk in the Southern Hemisphere. But the real winner is the Scenic Skyway!

We actually did the upgraded Beyond Skyway experience, it's the same 270 metre cable across the Jamison Valley with the glass bottom, but you get to climb up onto the roof as well! As Stace said, this was one of the best experiences we've ever done. Check out Scenic World here —

Don't forget to pick up Surfshark VPN here — and enter the promo code DANDS for 85% off and 3 extra months for FREE!

Today, we decided to have a day trip by car from Sydney to Blue Mountains. Enjoy our food and travel vlog that will be great guide for you to enjoy a weekend gateway from Sydney. First, we visited Mountain High Pies in Wentworth Falls for their award winning pies. They have won several awards in Great Aussie Pie Competition and Australia's Best Pie and Pastie Competition.

Trip to Blue Mountains will not complete without hike so we decided to check out Wentworth Falls and did the easy hike Fletcher's Lookout. For lunch, we went to Unique Patisserie which undoubtedly hidden gems in Blue Mountains. This patisserie in Katoomba is actually serving Malaysian and Asian food. If you are in Blue Mountains and wondering what to eat, try the Assam Laksa from Unique Patisserie. Other Malaysian dishes include Nasi Lemak with Beef Rendang, Char Kway Teow, Chicken Laksa and Nasi Goreng. We had takeaway coffee and cinnamon croissant from Black Cockatoo Bakery which was really good as well just a shop down from Unique Patisserie.

Empress Falls is one of the hidden waterfalls in Wentworth Falls area, the walk was about 1 hour return with a lot of stairs and some steep steps but it is really worth the hike. Whilst driving back to Sydney, we had dinner at Lawson Chinese Restaurant owned by our friend Vincent from dimsimlim.

If you are visiting Blue Mountains for first time, check out our Travel Guide to Blue Mountains via train that include visit to Three Sisters in Katoomba, Scenic World and Leura:

SYDNEY TRAVEL TIPS: 13 Things to Know Before You Go

Everything YOU need to know before you go to Sydney Australia. Located on Australia’s southeastern coast, Sydney is Australia's largest and oldest city with a population of 5.2M Sydneysiders. Sydney is considered one of the most diverse cities in the world, with more than 40% of the population originally hailing from outside Australia. While originally Sydney started life as a British prison colony, it’s now most well known for it’s amazing harbor, magnificent beaches, delicious cuisine, all wrapped up in a modern city with classic British roots, that remains distinctly Australian. All these things combined make Sydney one of the world’s most popular tourist destinations.

How do you afford to travel? - I now earn a full time living through creating these YouTube videos, affiliate links, selling digital products and my clothing line. I used to simply just work any temporary job I could find to save up to travel! I budget the money I earn meticulously to reach my savings goals using
Is travelling solo safe? - I would argue the answer is almost always yes! As long as you use your common sense and you follow your own government's guidelines about travelling in that country. I have made several videos on backpacking safety on my channel.
Do you have plans to settle down? Yes, I'm currently saving to purchase my first property in the UK and I'd love to have children one day. I doubt I'll ever live a completely 'conventional' lifestyle by society's standards though, as I often have my own preferred way of doing things.

Sydney on a Budget | How to see the Blue Mountains from Sydney for $2.80!

eyy check it out I made a video..

The Blue Mountains National Park is a really beautiful place with some of Australia's best landscapes. I really wanted to go there while in Sydney, and I was stopped by someone on the street wanting to sell me a tour there, which I liked the sound of - but it was about $200. I later heard that Sydney metro fares are capped at $2.80 for unlimited travel all day Sunday, and that there was a station from which you could get a view of the blue mountains. We used our Opal cards to get to Katoomba and then walked to Echo Point and saw the three sisters, all for $2.80.

It's about a 2 hour train from Sydney central, nice and comfortable and with those cool Sydney seats that you can move around to make them face whichever direction you like.

So this is great advice for people backpacking Australia on a budget, and especially those who want to see Sydney on a budget.
