Darma Valley trek Better Than Ladakh fron uttrakhand
Darma Valley Trek lies in the Pithoragarh district of Kumaon Himalayas, Uttarakhand. It is perched amid Lassi Yangti valley towards left and Kuthi Yangti valley towards east.
It is one of the most scenic treks in the Himalayan region. The gradient of this trek is a bit difficult, the climbs are strenuous but can be traversed with the right trekking techniques.

So here's a teaser of upcomng series Darma valley.
One of the most beautiful video from Uttarakhand.We covered 350 km from Mukteshvar to delhi via Nainital.
According to Census 2011 information the location code or village code of Dugtu village is 049080. Dugtu village is located in Dharchula Tehsil of Pithoragarh district in Uttarakhand, India. It is situated 73km away from sub-district headquarter Dharchula and 169km away from district headquarter Pithoragarh. As per 2009 stats, Dugtu village is also a gram panchayat.
The total geographical area of village is 330.48 hectares. Dugtu has a total population of 234 peoples. There are about 50 houses in Dugtu village known as Darma valley. As per 2019 stats, Dugtu villages comes under Dharchula assembly & Almora parliamentary constituency. Dharchula is nearest town to Dugtu which is approximately 73km away.

We started our trek from Duktu villag Panchachuli Base Camp and its a 4kms trek which took us around 2:30 hours to reach the last point and then back to Base camp and then 3 hours ride to Dharchula

Darma Valley trek, relatively an unexplored trek, is known for offering mesmerizing scenic beauty. More or less, Darma Valley trek and Panchachuli Base Camp Trek follows the same route, the only difference is that trekkers are going to explore the vicinity of Darma Valley more deeply. Trekking to Darma Valley can be little strenuous though it may be easily trekked with sensible trekking techniques.

#darma #darmavalley Darma valley is a Himalayan valley situated in the Pithoragarh District of Uttarakhand state of India. This valley is located in the eastern part of Uttarakhand at Kumaon division.
The Darma valley is formed by the Darma River (also called Darma Yankti and Darma Ganga). It is situated between two other valleys—Kuthi Yankti valley to the east and Lassar Yankti valley in the west. The altitude of Darma Valley is around 3500 Meters and the peaks have altitudes ranging from 6,334 metres (20,781 ft) to 6,904 metres (22,651 ft).
From this place you can enjoy the beautiful views of Panchachuli peaks and glacier
The altitude of five peaks of Panchachuli is as follows.
Panchachuli 1: Altitude 6355 Meters.
Panchachuli 2: Altitude 6904 meters.
Panchachuli 3: Altitude 6312 Meters.
Panchachuli 4: Altitude 6334 Meters.
Panchachuli 5: Altitude 6437 meters.

There are about 15 Villages in Darma Valley. You will find many homestays in Darma Valley. If you are planning to go near Panchachuli peaks then Dantu village, Dugtu village and Panchachuli base camp will be your best options. You can enjoy the view of Panchachuli from the homestays of Dantu village. Dugtu & Dantu are two villages situated in Darma Valley and devided by Dharmganga River which later forms Dhauli Ganga. Darma is easily accessible by road.

Ideal Time to Visit - Summer is the best time to visit Darma Valley. Weather is very pleasant there in summer. Sometimes, the road gets blocked due to heavy rainfall and landslide. Make sure to ensure that the road is not completely damaged before planning a trip to Darma.
You will face road in poor conditions in some places but it's manageable if everything is normal there.
