Little Havana CUBAN FOOD TOUR!! Cuban Sandwich, Churros & Colada | Miami, Florida

???? GET YOUR GUIDE:
???????? MIAMI CULINARY TOURS:
???? WATCH: Balkan Street Food in Miami –

As you guys probably know by now, when I’m at home in Miami, I love giving you guys a taste of the diverse cuisines you can find in my hometown. One of the top cuisines you can find here is Cuban, so I decided to take you on a Little Havana Cuban food tour in Miami! Let’s go!

For this adventure, I teamed up with my friends at Get Your Guide. I met up with my guide, Grace, who put together an amazing tour of Little Havana for me. Little Havana is one of Miami’s most famous neighborhoods and is known for its massive Cuban-American population.

We headed over to Old’s Havana Cuban Bar & Cocina, one of the area’s authentic Cuban restaurants. I looks small but has an old-school diner feel and an outdoor terrace. We ordered picadillo tostones, a Cuban sandwich, and a mojito!

The mojito was really refreshing. The picadillo tostones were made from mashed green plantains stuffed with ground beef and beans. They were so delicious!

The Cuban sandwich contained roasted pork, ham, swiss cheese, pickles, and mustard. It came topped with fritas, or tiny French fries, which I put inside the sandwich. It’s the one sandwich you have to try in Miami. The flavors all work so well together, and the toasted bread is fantastic!

Next, we headed to La Fruteria, where you can get fresh fruits, juices, smoothies and even local honey. There, we’d get some guarapo, or sugarcane juice. It’s basically a fruit stand reminiscent of the ones down in Homestead!

They ran the sugarcane through a presser. I love guarapo. I have it all the time on the streets of India. It’s so refreshing and cools you off in hot weather like the kind we have in south Florida. It is super sweet!

Then, we headed to Guayaberas, which is a shop that sells Cuban clothing. They sell traditional Cuban shirts and hats of different qualities. A typical guayabera has four pockets, which were traditionally used by farmers to hold guayaba, or guava.

From there, we went to have some churros at Churro Mania. Churros are cylindrical pastries made from fried dough. They’re popular throughout Latin America and Spain. They can come topped with cinnamon sugar and you can dip them in chocolate, dulce de leche, or hot chocolate.

My favorite churros of all time are in Madrid. These classic churros were topped with brown sugar and were thinner because they weren’t stuffed. They’re similar to funnel cakes or elephant ears and are crunchy on the outside and spongy on the inside

Then, we stopped at El Pub Restaurant to have some Cuban empanadas and a Café Cubano or Colada. It’s basically a double espresso and contains lots of sugar. Locals typically pour the Colada from the large cup into smaller cups to share it with others.

The empanada de carne contained minced meat, onion, garlic, cumin, bay leaves, picadillo, and olive oil. It was stuffed with tons of meat. I loved how big and juicy it was.

El Pub Restaurante is very famous—lots of movies and TV shows have been filmed there, including Ballers with Dwayne Johnson!

Next, we headed to get more sweets at Azucar, a Cuban ice cream shop that sells 80 flavors. The Abuela Maria is the signature flavor, but they also have key lime, guayaba, Nutella, Pina Colada, Platano, and even Coca Cola flavors!

Outside, I tried the Abuela Maria, which contains cookies, guayaba, and cream cheese. It almost tasted like one of my favorite Spanish snacks, membrillo.

It’s super sweet and full of amazing crunchy and creamy textures. It was the perfect palate cleanser after the empanada and an amazing way to end my food tour of Little Havana!

Looking For Food In Cuba During The Crisis ????????

???? HAVANA, CUBA (0.3)
Before I went to Cuba i didn't realise how hard it was going to be to find a meal. It's much easier to find a cold beer or a bottle of rum than it is the find a cold bottle of water. I headed south of old Havana to where the cuatro caminos market is to see what food i could find and met some friendly people on my day out.

What a mouth watering day...as weird as that sounds! We searched for the best food in La habana to do a Cuban food review and hit the jackpot! We tried everything from platanito maduro to ropa vieja and left that paladar with a food baby. After stuffing ourselves, we went to Guanabacoa and visited the house that Annette's parents built by hand and it is still being used 30 years later!

About Us!

If you had told me a year ago that we were going to sell all of our stuff to start backpacking the world, I would have called you a liar. Decisions like the one we made start with an inflection point. A point where you realize that life can never be the same anymore. After a challenging, and painful year in 2017, we decided we needed to go out and live the life we wanted to live, instead of watching it on someone else’s YouTube Channel. We had given everything we had, physically and emotionally, for other’s dreams and were ready to work that hard for ourselves. From rock bottom, Chase for Adventure was born.

The Chase Begins
We moved in with our parents, sold everything we own including our cars, and paid off $70,000 worth of debt. We worked 70hrs/week over the last year trying to save up $15,000 to make our dreams come true. Now, we are travel journalists who showcase the beauty in different cultures and inspire others to chase their dreams through our YouTube Channel and website Chase for Adventure. We want to show others that if they want something bad enough, they’ll figure out how to get it; show people who are struggling that they can make the light at the end of their tunnel. Chase for Adventure is more than just a travel vlog and blog; it’s the chronicles of what it’s like to have a dream and do whatever it takes to attain it.

Eating Cuban Food in Miami. Little Havana Food Tour ???? First time trying Cuban Food.

In this week’s vlog we adventure into the Little Havana neighbourhood of Miami to try some Cuban food! Miami has a very large Cuban community making it the perfect place to try Cuban food outside of Cuba.

We started off at a restaurant called El Cristo where we first had a platter filled with various Cuban foods including chicken and beef empanadas, plantains, ham croquettes and fried yuca. We also tried a traditional Cuban Sandwich.

After this we decided to head to a Cuban coffee shop where they recommended we have the delicious and indulgent coffee drink called Cafe Tres Leche.

After exploring the neighbourhood some more we headed to our last stop, a restaurant called El Exquisito to have a dish of Arroz Con Pollo (chicken and rice).

Moments: Street Food in Cuba - diariesof

In this video, we bring you some of the tastiest Cuban street food! Yummy!

As the Peso restaurants were often packed with people and had long queues outside, we ate a lot of street food. And if you know how to choose, you can get some delicious stuff!

As for an authentic Cuban food experience it doesn’t get better than Peso restaurants or the above mentioned street foods.
These are your best and quickest bet. Our favourite street snack was Pan con Lechon - roasted pork sandwich or the famous Pan con Tortilla - bread with tortilla.

Although not really street food, Cuban fruits are a delight. They are your healthy and cheap option. You can buy the fruits at street vendors or at the Agropecuario markets.

In the east of Cuba, in Baracoa, you’ll find Cucurocho, a sweet made of coconut and guava. We absolutely loved it!

And as for drinks, the most popular street drink is the Granizado: shaved ice with flavoured syrup sold by the Granizaderos.

Trying out a fancy restaurant in Havana Cuba ! took about 2 hours to eat -Cuba food review

How Expensive is Cuba I Old Havana

How expensive is Cuba, La Havana? Check out this video to know how much costs basic things you will need on your trip to Cuba Havana.

A trip to Cuba can be done on a budget but also in an expensive way. Therefore, we focus mostly on basic things you need to get or do while in La Havana, Cuba.

Internet in Cuba - you have to go to ETESCA Office on Obispo street, where you need to purchase a Nauta card for 1 CUC. Bring your passport. I think you can get only 3 cards per passport.

Bigote de Gato - our favorite bar in Old Havana for a very reasonable price. Only 1,95 CUC per cocktail and absolutely amazing Pinacolada.

Hotels - definitely stay in Casa Particulars. You can book through Airbnb.

We will be releasing a video about travel tips very soon. So stay tuned for that if you're planning a trip to Cuba.
