Cruise Lines Start to Fight Back. The big 4 cruise lines along with the Florida Travel Industry and Cruise Ports held a meeting to talk about what's happening in the industry. Most of the time you hear CEO's say they are working towards opening and following heath officials leads and working with the CDC. However this time they seemed to go more on the offensive. Saying the rest of the Country is reopening and getting back to business but they seem to be the only industry not allowed to start up in any way shap or form. 10 MORE CRUISER COMPLAINTS THE CRUISE LINES NEED TO ADDRESS
After our last video, we heard from several cruisers about some of the changes to cruising that they want the cruise lines to address. The biggest cruise complaint we missed in our first video has to do with adults-only spaces. Many cruisers want the cruise lines to enforce their rules when it comes to these spaces, as often kids are found freely roaming these reserved spaces that are supposed to be for adults.
Another thing cruisers want the cruise lines to change is the post-cruise surveys. While these surveys can be helpful, on some cruise lines, the crew constantly nag cruisers to give them 10-star ratings, which defeats the purpose of requesting feedback.
In our previous video, cruisers pointed out that they want cruise lines to better monitor entitled cruisers who cut lines, rush elevators, and think they are better than everyone else. One type of cruiser we missed was the obsessively drunk cruiser. Many cruisers want the cruise lines to enforce policies on overserving alcohol and monitor those who have too much to drink.
Cruisers also want the cruise lines to stop changing their loyalty programs. While sailing with one cruise line to get perks is appealing, many cruisers pointed out that cruise lines have made changes that water down these programs. Now, there are fewer incentives to remain loyal to one brand.
Cruisers are also sick of cruise lines building bigger ships. Every line seems to be focused on building larger vessels. Now, the only way to sail on a smaller ship that isn't 20 years old is to sail with a luxury cruise line.
Further, cruisers want the cruise lines to include better signage and directions when building these mega-ships. We can attest that sometimes it is difficult to find venues or public spaces on modern cruise ships, like restrooms. It is easy to get lost on some of these large cruise ships, and cruisers want the cruise lines to improve passenger flow.
While the cruise lines can address several cruise passenger complaints, some cruisers took aim at their fellow sailors. Several cruisers said they want others to stop complaining about cruising. These passengers are sick of hearing other cruisers complain about how much better cruises used to be.
We tend to agree. While cruising has changed, it is still the best way to travel the world to experience new destinations and meet new people. So, while it isn't perfect, it is still the ideal way to sea the world one port at a time.

When will Carnival cruise and other cruise lines start again? - Mandatory Vaccine - Cruise News
We want to keep you all up to date on all the important Cruise News. This week Carnival made an announcement around their cruising dates which we review as well as other cruise lines restart dates. We also hear from the first cruise line to make vaccines a requirement. Check out our video for all that and more.
As we are all well aware by now, things can change at anytime. We are going to share the cruise news latest advice around start up dates from the top cruise lines. Cruise lines like Costa cruises, and Blue Lagoon Cruises are aiming to resume voyages as early as February 2021. Others like Royal Caribbean, Princess Cruises and Norwegian Cruise line are looking to restart sailing in May.
Carnival Cruise line also had a big announcement this week. They are looking to resume US sailings in early May and Australian voyages in late May. European cruises are not looking to restart until October. We are very excited about the maiden voyage of the Carnival Mardi Gras. We are supposed to be sailing in it in July. If you want to know more about the Mardi gras check out everything you need to know about dining. There looks to be so many options we can't wait to try. The Mardi Gras sail date has been moved to May 29th.
The dates for the river cruises are very similar with American cruise line, APT, AMA waterways, Riviera Travel and more planning to restart in March. Titan and Viking river cruises are set to sail again as early as February.
There is a lot to get excited about with our cruise industry news today but cruising won't look like it did before. We are now hearing a Cruise Line which will require Vaccines for all passengers. A UK cruise line, Saga Cruises, announced this week that all passengers will need to be full vaccinated to sail. To allow time for passengers to get vaccinated they have delayed their restart date until April, May or June depending on the ship.

Caribbean Cruising is Back - Cruise Ship to the Rescue | Cruise News
This week we have a lot of positive cruise news stories to cover. A cruise ship rescued a group of people from their sinking boat. We also are very excited to announce Caribbean cruising is back. We are going to share all the details around that and more.
A boat was stranded, taking on water, 37 miles off the coast of Florida in International Waters. They were lucky that a Carnival Cruise ship saw them and was able to respond. The Carnival Sensation is a 855 foot ship that can accommodate more than 2,000 passengers, noticed their boat. The Carnival Sensation has been working with limited crew and no passengers. The crew went to rescue the sinking boat and provided blankets, life jackets, food and water. A lot of the cruise ship news this year has been disappointing, it is nice to know that this cruise ship, which doesn't have any passengers, was able to help.
A lot of our cruise news update videos has been about cancellations. Finally we have a story about cruising resuming to the Caribbean. This is also a big story as they are stopping at ports which will allow American passengers. We have seen cruising resume in Europe but only for passengers of that country. The Seadream 1 has left Norway where it has been sailing all summer and is on its way to the Caribbean. There are going to be strict safety protocols to ensure passenger and crew safety. The Seadream has learned a lot from its experience this summer and will be bringing those lessons to the Caribbean. Ports of call also have rules which passengers will have to follow. Many people have been asking when will cruises resume, and now we have the answer. Seadream cruises has their first sail date set as November 7th. UPDATE: We have just had a meeting with MSC Cruises. We are pleased MSC Cruises are taking this very seriously and have apologised profusely and expressed their disappointment with what happened to us on the MSC World Europa.
They are going to be taking proactive measures to prevent such incidents in the future, including the implementation of a fleetwide training program to equip crew members with better skills to handle similar situations.
Furthermore, MSC Cruises has extended an invitation for us to collaborate on developing a new policy for content creators and filming/taking photographs onboard. This policy aims to support both invited and non-invited content creators while safeguarding the comfort and privacy of passengers and crew. We think this marks a significant step forward, as no other cruise line has undertaken such an effort before.
In addition to these measures, MSC Cruises will be providing us with a full refund.
We really want to move past this incident and transform the negativity surrounding it into something positive. We have accepted the apology offered by MSC Cruises.
We sincerely thank you all for your amazing support throughout this all. Of course we are still angry and upset with what hNow, we are eager to refocus on our passion: creating entertaining cruise content and sharing our adventures with you all.
