New aerial footages captures the construction progress of two new hospitals in the Chinese city of Wuhan. The first hospital is expected to be completed in 10 days as the country races to contain the spread of coronavirus.

COVID-19: Aviation’s Fight For Survival
This video takes a closer look at the current state of aviation during the COVID-19 crisis. How is Aviation fighting for survival during COVID-19?
Take a guess at just how many flights are currently in the sky on an average day?
The number of flights in the sky have fallen more than half recently and the number is continuing to drop all around the world. The sky is getting empty! Take a look at all the airplane grounding footage from all over the world.
Airports are emptying, so are airline lounges and the flights themselves. In the video, we discuss the implications of social distancing inside airplane.
While passenger flights and passenger numbers are falling, air cargo operations are increasing; playing a crucial role in these times of crisis, delivering lifesaving medical supplies and materials. Lot of airlines are now using their passenger planes to carry cargo only. We examine these cargo operations closely.
It is not all bad news however during this COVID-19 pandemic. Private aviation is booming! with high demand for private flights for charter, repatriation and transportation for medical equipment. Qatar Airways have recently increased 10,000 seats and have deployed an A380 on route to London, Paris and Frankfurt due to increase in demand as other airlines have suspended their operations.
We also see a 51-year-old DC-8 from the Samaritan’s Purse (a US Aid Organization) that recently flew to Verona, Italy. This latest mission saw the aircraft perform a flight to Verona in Italy, where it unloaded a 68-bed field hospital.

Inside Europe's Busiest Air Traffic Control - Amsterdam
Amsterdam is Europe’s busiest airport, in terms of movements and top 3 in terms of passenger numbers. In 2018, it handled over 70 million passengers, with over 500,000 movements. I visited the Air Traffic Control Tower and Radar Centre in Amsterdam, to find out how the air traffic is managed in one of the busiest European Airports.
The ATC tower controller explains all the working positions, runway configurations and movements inside the ATC tower at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. I was given a behind the scene tour and enjoyed some awesome plane spotting views up in the 101m tower.
Then, I visited the LVNL Radar Centre. A controller explains how the radar controls work. In fact, once the plane leaves the gate it will remain in contact with the tower and many different area controls until it lands and arrives at the gate. The visit gave me a great insight as to how Air Traffic Control works in today’s crowded skies.

As one of the emergency hospitals in Wuhan built in response to the deadly coronavirus, Huoshenshan Hospital is now complete and due to go into use on February 3. The other specialized coronavirus hospital in Wuhan, Leishenshan Hospital, will start taking patients on February 6. It's 75,000 square meters in size and will be able to accommodate 1,600 patients.

Air Travel in Times of Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) ???? (2020-02-07)
It is the time when Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV, COVID-19) is scaring people. Video and photo footage is from Hong Kong International Airport (HKG), flight KA436 and Kaohsiung International Airport (KHH). There are much less travelers around at HKG terminal than usual. Not many passengers onboard the A330 as well. Temperature check and guidance into home quarantine for travelers from Hong Kong, Macau, and China at Kaohsiung Xiaogang International Airport in Taiwan.
Note: People's Republic of China prevents Taiwan (an independent democratic country) from becoming a member of World Health Organization (WHO) or get observer status to share information related to the virus that originated from Wuhan City in Hubei Province of P. R. C.

Whitney & Karro - Encounters in China | A China Icons Video
Karoline Karro (Lithuania) is fashion designer planning to make it big in China. In 2016 she applied to enter the Humen Cup, an international Womenswear Design Contest held in Humen city in Guangdong. Over 30,000 people applied, and Karro was selected as one of only 30 designers to show her designs on the catwalk.
When Karro arrived in Humen she met Whitney (Huang Yingyi, from Dongguan), who was there to show her around the site and explain how the competition would work. On first sight Whitney could tell Karro was a true designer, with an authentic style, and Karro could tell Whitney would be a good friend.
Whitney helped Karro deal with the stress of the competition, and was pleased when Karro won a bronze medal at the competition. For Karro it was just the start of her work in China, she has returned again to take part in the Humen Cup and see Whitney, and has been selected to show her work at many other Chinese fashion shows.
Karro and Whitney became good friends, and now Whitney gives advice and help to Karro to help her make her designs more successful in China.
Whitney and Karro shared their story for the 70th anniversary of the founding of modern China.

Hospital Ship USNS Mercy Departs On COVID-19 Mission
Military Sealift Command hospital ship USNS Mercy (T-AH 19) navigates the San Diego channel on March 23, 2020. Mercy was deployed in support of the nation’s COVID-19 response efforts, and will serve as a referral hospital for non-COVID-19 patients currently admitted to shore-based hospitals. This allows shore base hospitals to focus their efforts on COVID-19 cases. One of the Department of Defense’s missions is Defense Support of Civil Authorities. DOD is supporting the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the lead federal agency, as well as state, local and public health authorities in helping protect the health and safety of the American people.
