The Magic of a Warm Welcome at Dublin Airport
This Christmas, we were delighted to partner with Avoca Ireland and United Airlines to bring a little magic to passengers coming home to Dublin Airport DUB and to those visiting Ireland for the first time. On Friday December 10 at 07.00, the team from Avoca Ireland welcomed United Airlines flight UA23 from New York home to Ireland.
Avoca wanted to spread some festive cheer and surprise passengers who were greeted with much-loved Avoca festive mince pies as they disembarked their flight, and each person was gifted with a unique Avoca Christmas present as a special, homecoming surprise. Even Santa Claus himself was there to welcome the home-comers, filling Dublin Airport terminal with festive cheer and well-wishes.
It's always special to spend time at home with family and friends, and this is never truer than at Christmastime. So, after a long time not being able to share precious moments with loved ones, it's important to celebrate being able to spend time with loved ones at the most wonderful time of the year. To spread a little magic this festive period, and to celebrate the joy of coming home for Christmas. To everyone coming back for Christmas this year - welcome home!

We’ve been bringing people home for Christmas since 1936. This year, we wanted to make Christmas extra special for families across the world, who couldn’t make it home to see their loved ones. Taking to social media, we quietly sought out five families for a very festive homecoming.
From Chicago, we brought Nigel and his family home, so that his mother didn’t have to spend Christmas on her own. Niamh came home for the first time in 14 years with her daughter. From New York, we brought Clare home to her family in Cork, while Tomás flew from Toronto to be reunited with his family in Galway. Fintan flew home from New York to give his mother a truly special Christmas surprise.

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the travel bug! We started “travel hacking” & finally decided we wanted to travel for one year. After 2 years of saving $ and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016. We started this YouTube channel to share our experiences with friends and family, then decided we really liked vlogging and traveling! So we extended our 1 year trip to now FOUR years :) Now we have a goal of traveling to 100 countries before 2020! We are incredibly thankful to do something we love every day. :)

We’ve been bringing people home for Christmas since 1936. We know that technology doesn’t replace your loved one, especially at Christmas Time. So we surprised three families with the best Christmas surprise they could ask for.
From San Francisco, we brought Tracey, her husband and two boys to Glasnevin to surprise Joan and Tony and reunite with their grandchildren. James’s family in Dundalk have not enjoyed Christmas dinner in their home since he emigrated to New York as they didn’t want to leave his seat empty. And we brought Brendan home to his family in Lusk to regain his title as the most boisterous family member on Christmas Day.

A stressful journey home from London for the holidays | Heathrow at Christmas
Leaving London to go home for Christmas. I was travelling out on a train strike day so my journey to the airport was a bit hectic. The queue for security at Heathrow was long, but it moved pretty quickly, all things considered.
I'm very happy to be home for the holidays and I'm going to be taking a little break from posting until the new year. I hope you all have a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year! See you soon!
