Third line gear includes advanced medical supplies that are typically too big or numerous to be stored on the medic’s person. Combat Medic Life in the Army.
MEDEVAC exercise in jungle training school. this video was taken during a training exercise. The equipment used is called a Jungle Penetrator to extract soldiers out of a heavily covered jungle where a helicopter cannot land or a rescue basket cannot be deployed. A flight medic would come down to assess the injured soldier and prepare him/her for extraction using the equipment.

Afghanistan Part 1 (Combat Medic class 17-08)
Some clips and pictures of our tour to Afghanistan, from 2010-2011. This is part 1 of the clips i'll be adding, and is a continuation of some past videos i've posted based on Combat Medic training. 10th Mountain 1st Brigade, 3-6FA (yeah, field artillery who hasn't used howitzers in at least 4 deployments.. just running ground operations). Almost all the pictures and videos were taken by myself, the medic attached to the various platoons I rolled out with. Enjoy.
