Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the #travel bug! We started “travel hacking” & finally decided we wanted to go travel for one year. After 2 years of saving $ and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016. We started this #travelvlog to share our experiences with friends and family, then decided we really liked vlogging and traveling, and we didn’t want to stop after just one year! After achieving our new goal of 100 countries and then all 7 continents (check out our documentary here: we had no plans to slow down, until 2020 decided to force us to ;) which is when we bought a converted Sprinter van to start exploring our own country for the first time. #Vanlife was a major adjustment and so different than flying every week like we were used to, but we are incredibly thankful to be able to continue doing something we love every day. ????????????

Climbing Aconcagua: the highest mountain in the Americas

Climbing #Aconcagua in Argentina via the Normal Route. At 6,961m (22,837ft), Aconcagua is the highest mountain I've climbed. It's the highest mountain in the Americas, the Western and Southern Hemispheres, and outside of Asia. It was my third mountain of the #SevenSummits, fourth if you include Kosciuszko – which I don't!

Deadliest Hiking Trail in the World | Huashan Mountain

I went hiking the deadliest hiking trail in the world in Huashan mountain near Xi'an, China. It was one of the best experiences I ever had.

Morning time around 6am I woke up and a driver picked me up to take me to the base of Huashan mountain. once I got to the base of Mount Hua I got my tickets to get in the mountain and got the cable car which takes around 10 minutes to go up.

If you take huashan cable car you skip a couple thousand steps but still once you reach up with the cable car you still have to walk around 3500 steps.

Hiking huashan mountain can be one of the deadliest hiking trail in the world because of its safety, once you are going up there is no much protection for you and false step can get you injured very easily in these deadliest hiking trails.
The most famous part of huashan mountain in china is the cliffside plank walk. This huashan cliffside plank walk is very scary and famous for how high it is. This cliffside plank walk attracts many tourists and the queue to go to it may take up to 3 or 4 hours.

I took a whole day to hike huashan mountain, I made a lot of pictures and videos and I even used my drone there. Hiking mount huashan is a bit scary but at the same time you will love it by the pictures you will be able to get.

And this cliffside plank walk is one of the deadliest hiking trails in the world because some people take off their harness so they can have better pictures and once you take it off, one false step and you are gone.

3-Day Solo Climbing Japan's Highest Mountain Mount Fuji Summit????World Heritage Site

???? About Mount Fuji
Height of Mt Fuji 3,775.63m
Temperature at the summit January average -18.5°C (-18.5°F)
August average 6.0°C
There are four climbing routes leading to the summit of Mt Fuji.
(1) Yoshida Route: Fuji Subaru Line fifth station
(2) Subashiri Route: Subashiguchi fifth station
(3) Gotemba Route: Gotemba-guchi Shin-gogome
(4) Fujinomiya route: Fujinomiya-guchi fifth station
This time, we climbed the mountain from the Yoshida Route, the fifth station of the Fuji Subaru Line (1), which is relatively easy even for beginners.
????What we noticed when we climbed
As there is a risk of altitude sickness, it is recommended to stay overnight at the fifth station to allow your body to acclimatise before climbing to the summit.
There is no running water on Mt Fuji.
Fuji, nor are there any springs or wells on the way up Mt Fuji, due to the geological features that allow water to pass through easily.
Hand-washing water in mountain huts and toilets is not drinkable, as it is made from rainwater and other accumulated water.
Therefore, you must always be prepared with drinking water when climbing Mt.Fuji.

The Matterhorn // The Most Recognizable Mountain in the World

When I was young some of the first mountains I heard about were Everest, K2, and the Matterhorn. I think I recognized the Matterhorn before I knew the name of most my local mountains. I only recently looked into climbing the Matterhorn. Up until a few years ago I thought it’s pointy summit was unobtainable. Crowds, costs and technical skills made the peak seem out of reach. I had heard that long lines up the Hörnli Route could turn a day out into a horrible 20 hour nightmare. People I spoke with who had climbed it claimed that route finding after the Hörnlihütte was impossible without a guide. A guide in Zermatt lectured me with a strong parental tone about the dangers of climbing it’s 4,000ft razor ridge with even a dusting of snow. All these things can be true but in the back of my mind I kept replaying the video I saw of Killian running down from its summit in shorts. So I rolled the dice for a 3rd time and convinced Chase and Aaron to go out there and give it a shot. It was the driest, hottest summer on record in parts of Europe but of course the week before our departure it rained and snowed heavily across Italy and Switzerland. We were certain that once again this summit would be out of reach but decided to give it a go anyway. Our hopes were bolstered by a video posted by Amateur fan @adventurestothemax who climbed the Matterhorn 2 weeks before our arrival in conditions we hoped would be similar.
I mention in the video choices that we made that worked out FOR US. I was referring to the Decision to start late in the morning and to not put on our crampons until further up the mountain. When we got to Zermatt at 12:30am we debated starting late or waiting until the following morning (we even went as far as to get a reservation at the Hornlihut the following day). In the end we decided to start late. Our thinking was that starting late would give the ice time to thaw since the forecast called for warm conditions and sun. We also thought starting late would allow those who started early to clear off the summit and technical sections by the time we arrived at that point. For the most part both those predictions came true and we only encountered about an hour to an hour and a half of delay due to crowding on the route. The snow and ice was relatively soft until 14,000ft and that meant we could go crampon free for most the mountain. Being crampon free resulted in a faster pace. In the end these were decisions that worked well FOR US and it made for an awesome day. For some these choices could result in death or an expensive rescue.

Mauna Kea: summiting the world’s tallest mountain

Okay, so we all know that Mount Everest is Earth’s highest mountain, measuring at a staggering 8,848m (29,029ft) above sea level. However, if you measure from base to peak, it is Hawaii’s Mauna Kea that is the world’s tallest mountain!

Climbing The Tallest Peak of Hawaii Mauna Kea | Hawaii 100 Highest Peaks

Climbing Mauna Kea the tallest peak of Hawaii was on my list for a long time. This was my first trip after this pandemic situation. The short 5-day vacation turned out great!
We visited some friends on Big Island with my wife, hiked some beautiful trails, and hiked some trails in the just reopened Volcano National Park with basically nobody around. But one day was just put aside for me to be able to climb up to the Mauna Kea Summit from the visitor center to the actual peak.
The climb starts at 9200ft high at the Humu'ula trailhead and ends at 13803ft high at the peak of Mauna Kea.
We had a great time on the mountain and reaching the Mauna Kea Summit was a very powerful moment of the day.

As always, we approached these high peaks in Hawaii with respect, knowing all the cultural significance behind them.

I hope you guys will enjoy the video!
