Today you will walk through the center of Chisinau, the capital of the least visited country in Europe. Together we will enjoy the autumn in the main square of the city and visit the biggest market in the country.
Walking in CHISINAU / Moldova ????????- 4K 60fps (UHD)
Chișinău is the capital the Republic of Moldova. Moldova is a small, landlocked European country near Ukraine and Romania.
Moldova and Chisinau is on very few tourist maps - another walk on a different route is on this channel:
With the proximity near Odesa / Ukraine the city of Chisinau is sometimes on the way for trips to Romania or some of the more different places in Europe like Tiraspol or Bender.
We start our tour (in February 2020) at the Cathedral Park and see the main sights there with the Cathedral and Triumphal Arch.
We make a round through the Stephen the Great park and see the walking street Eugen Doga which has a few restaurants.
As we head back up to the city center we walk down the main street Stephen the Great Boulevard, see some art market and finally the central market. Now we are rather South-East of the city center. On our way back we pass the military museum and eventually get back where we started.

It offers a great location for relaxation due to the countless activities that can be done: walking, jogging, cycling on the 2,5km around the lake, chess playing, swimming, fishing. The park has a few coffee places, a theatre and an amusement park, as well plenty of nature and beautiful statues around!

Join me as we continue our tour of the Central Market in Chisinau Moldova.
After some negotiation with the Director of the market, I managed to get them to agree on letting me film, on the condition that I have a security detail with me at all times.
Concerned that I might get beaten up or in other kind of trouble, they were adamant that it was necessary, so I agreed and set out to continue my visit with my own personal bodyguard.
Amazing foods, and the locals is what makes markets so fascinating to me and this was no exception.

Chisinau or Chișinău is the capital of the Republic of Moldova in Eastern Europe. Moldova is bounded to the north, east, and south by Ukraine, and to the west by Romania. The vast majority of the republic is located between the great meandering Prut and Dniester rivers.
The neoclassical Nativity Cathedral stands out among blocks of Soviet-style architecture. Chisinau or Chișinău's Cathedral Park is anchored by the dome-topped church, a plaza with a Triumphal Arch commemorating Russia's 19th-century victory over the Ottoman Empire. Stephen the Great Central Park is named after a Moldovan prince who stood up to Ottoman rule.
Chisinau or Chișinău is Moldova's major industrial center, particularly for light engineering and the production of measuring equipment, machine tools, tractors, pumps, refrigerators, washing machines, and insulated wiring. Among the city's agriculture-related industries are winemaking, flour milling, and tobacco processing. There are also factories producing clothing and footwear. With an academy of sciences, a university (1945), other institutions of higher education, and several scientific research establishments, the city is Moldova's cultural center. Population: 598,000 in 2004; 674,500 in 2014 (estimated).

Fall vibes 2022 | Walking in downtown of Chisinau, Moldova. I didn't plan a route, it was a random walk on cloudy day in the middle of the week when everyone works. This city has a special vibe and is very contrasted between people and generations. A young rich generation in an old soviet city.
When in Western Europe elderly people are the wealthy generation, in Eastern Europe, including Moldova, it's the complete opposite.
But the next generation is changing the game and you can have a nice trip in this country eating healthy food and drink some delicious wine.
By the way, Moldova has the world's largest wine cellar and Europe's largest cemetery, yes...
