2 tsp all-purpose flour

175 grams tofu, firm, cut into 1 x 1-inch cubes

Seasoned Soy Sauce For Seafood 酒楼港式蒸鱼豉油 ,清蒸笋壳鱼,马铃薯焖红烧排骨,白菜豆腐汤轻松上手三道家常菜.

材料: Ingredients:
600 克 笋壳鱼 - 600g marble goby
少许 胡椒粉 - dash of white pepper
4~5片 姜片 - 4~5 slices ginger
2 根葱 - 2 green onion
大火蒸煮7分钟 - Steam for 7 minutes on high heat
3~5汤匙 油 - 3~5 tbsp Oil

材料 B: Ingredients B:
1000毫升 温水 - 1000ml Warm water
1 根 芫茜 / 香菜 - 1 coriander / Chinese parsley
500毫升 酱油 - 500ml soy sauce
37克 MAGGI 鲜味汁 - 37g MAGGI SEASONING
37克 糖 - 37g sugar
37 冰糖 - 37g rock sugar

装饰: Garnishing:
少许 姜丝 - dash of Shredded ginger
少许 葱 - dash of green onion
少许 芫茜 / 香菜 - dash of coriander / Chinese parsley

Cod with Spicy Garlic Sauce Recipe | Cooking at Home

Ingredients: Black cod, Zucchini, Tokyo negi, Ginger, Chili peppers (optional), Garlic, Oyster Sauce, Light Soy Sauce, Sweetened Soy Sauce, Sugar, Salt, Pepper, Cornstarch, Water, Coconut Water, Rice

Recipe:
Prep: Fillet, descale, debone the cod and let it drain (and pat with paper towel afterwards). Salt and pepper the fish, coat in cornstarch. Mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar and water to make a sauce.
Cook: Cook rice in coconut water in the rice cooker. Pan fry the zucchini with a pinch of salt and sugar until softened. Pan fry the cod in a little bit of cooking oil until golden. In a pan, add garlic, ginger and Tokyo negi before adding the oil to remove excess liquid, then add oil. Add chili and the soy sauce mix once a little browned, mix until fully coated and heated up.
Serve: Serve cod with coconut rice and zucchini on the side, pour the vegetable sauce mix on top of the fish. Enjoy!

How To Make Fish in Clay Pot - Vietnamese Cooking

Here we go through how to make fish in clay pot, including the source. This was filmed during a cooking course at Mai Home Hoi An on Tra Que Village. The ingredients can be found below.

- 200 gram (0.4lb) of catfish (filleted)
- 1 tablespoon of wine
- 1 tablespoon of vinegar
- 1 tablespoon of sugar (to make caramel)
- ½ tablespoon of cooking oil
- 5 crushed shallots
- 1 tablespoon of chopped fresh turmeric
- 1 tablespoon of fish sauce
- 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce
- 1 teaspoon of pepper
- ½ teaspoon of seasoning powder
- 1 teaspoon of sugar ( for seasoning)
- 4 tablespoons of water
- 2 turmeric leaves (sliced).
- 1 tablespoon of pepper sauce.

The Fish tofu

Silken Tofu Fish (& Tofu in China) // Chengdu: City of Gastronomy 48

This week I’m eating an amazing Sichuan tofu and fish combo, but first I hit my local authentic Chinese market to learn a bit more about tofu. I get behind the scenes at a tofu stall to see how it’s made.

Chinese tofu is the best. There are generally 4 different types. In English we would call them extra firm, firm, soft, and extra soft. This is based on how much water is in it. The more water squeezed out, the firmer it is. Dou hua is a soft tofu. It’s cooked in a large block and scooped like ice cream. In fact, in many parts of China dou hua is eaten like a dessert - a scoop of tofu, some nuts, some sweet brown sugar sauce. It’s the Chinese ice cream sundae..?

The basic process for making tofu consists of:
1) Grinding soy beans with water to make a soy milk
2) Using a coagulant, you separate the soy from the water.
3) You scoop out the soy and put it in a block to drain the excess water.
4) You push down on it, pressing water out.

This makes a soft tofu that is very popular in China. It’s creamy and fresh tasting. Tofu in North American, at least none that I’ve had, can’t compare to a freshly made chunk of Chinese tofu.

The dish Silken tofu and fish is a mala (numbing spicy) broth with chunks of tofu and fish in it. The fish is usually carp or catfish. It’s consistency is very similar to the tofu’s. Both absorb a lot of flavour and provide a very soft mouth feel. This dish is often served from a big bowl on the table that everyone shares, but China has started adapting to the working person’s eating habits. We went to a place that serves individual simmering clay pots. It was a huge bowl for one person, but the tastiness made it easy to finish.

But you can also try these tasty versions:
Pepper tofu fish - 鲜椒豆花鱼 - Xiān jiāo dòuhuā yú
Tomato tofu fish - 番茄豆花鱼 - Fānqié dòuhuā yú
pickled vegetable tofu fish - 酸菜豆花鱼 - Suāncài dòuhuā yú
Green Pepper tofu fish - 青椒豆花鱼 - Qīngjiāo dòuhuā yú
Curry tofu fish - 咖喱豆花鱼 - Gālí dòuhuā yú

In this series, I am eating my way through a deck of cards. I bought a deck of food themed playing cards that feature a different Sichuan dish on every card. Every week I'll shuffle the deck and pick one random card to hunt down and sample. Chengdu was the first Asian city to be named a UNESCO City of Gastronomy. It's full of incredible food - a lot of which you probably don't know about.

Chinese Steamed Whole Fish with Soy Sauce - WHAT'S FOR DINNER

Hi everyone, here is a classic Chinese dish that is super simple to make and amazing to master if you are ever planning on cooking for your significant other and want to surprise them!

Ingredients:
Fish (We are using California Sheephead Fish)
High Quality Soy Sauce
White Pepper
Green Onion
Ginger
Cilantro

STEAMED TOFU WITH SHRIMPS

300g of silken tofu, chilled
2 cloves of garlic, chopped
2 shallots, finely sliced
1 Tbsp of pickled salted radish
1 tbsp of pickled sweet turnips
6 pcs Prawns, peeled and deveined, chopped
vegetable oil, for frying


SAUCE
1 1/2 tbsp of light soy sauce
1 tsp brown/white sugar
1 tbsp of oyster sauce
1 dash of sesame oil

TO GARNISH
Spring onions, chopped
Chili, sliced thinly (optional)
