Cities underwater in China today as record floods hit ???????? 26 June 2022 Guangdong 洪水 英德 廣東
Several days of heavy rain has caused widespread flooding in Southern China on June 26th 2022.
Among the worst affected areas is Guangdong, with parts of Yingde several feet under water.
Other provinces affected include Hunan and Jiangxi.
Rivers have overflowed, flooding low lying areas.
Buildings have been destroyed, as walls collapsed under the force of water.
Roads have been blocked by flood water, isolating areas.
As flood waters subside, streets have been filled with mud and debris, causing further disruption.

Heavy floods hit Assam in India today, on June 18th 2022.
Over 3,000 settlements are underwater following heavy rains leading to floods, with water levels continuing to rise.
Warnings are in place as river levels rise to unsafe levels, including the Brahmaputra and Gauranga rivers.
Travel is impossible in many areas, with roads underwater. In rural areas, landslides have been seen, causing further disruption.
Bridges and roads have been destroyed, isolating communities. Boats are being used to reach stranded citizens.
Homes have been destroyed, as walls have collapsed under pressure of flood waters. Emergency shelters have been set up to help those affected.
Residents have been advised to remain in their homes where possible during this period. Authorities are monitoring the situation, with further damage expected.
