This video was shot in the Arctic Ocean in March 2018. For 7 days our crew passed through the Barents Sea to Karsky around the Novaya Zemlya archipelago on the nuclear icebreaker Yamal - we saw the northern lights and polar bears, watched the ships stuck in the ice being towed, and were very cold.
In the video you can see two Russian icebreakers - “50 Years of Victory” and “Yamal” with a capacity of 75,000 horsepower and a distinctive shark mouth, which appeared on it in 1994 during one of the children's humanitarian programs. According to legend, someone suggested drawing a smiling shark mouth on the nose to make it more fun for children. At present, Russia has the only nuclear-powered icebreaker fleet in the world. They are used to provide wiring ships in the ices of the Northern Sea Route in the freezing ports of the Russian Federation, research expeditions, rescue operations and tourist cruises.
In addition to the extreme weather conditions, the shooting was complicated by the fact that the icebreaker was always in motion. And if the drone was flying over the radar tower, the recording file was damaged.

The World's Coldest Road. Kolyma Highway in Siberia, Russia. Music by 103
This is the road from Yakutsk to Oymyakon in Yakutia, Siberia / Russia.
Travel to Oymyakon, Russia and Magadan via Oymyakon in winter with
Known widely as the Kolyma Highway, Stalin's Road of Bones. In winter the temperature drops down as low as -60C.
When I was taking those photographs, it was -57.3C outdoor. Pretty chilly. Not surprised that the road is considered to be the coldest one in the world. BBC even said, it was one of the dangerous roads.

Yakutsk - Oymyakon - Magadan Road. Winter Travel in Siberia Russia
In February 2013, 8 international travellers embarked the world's coldest road trip Yakutsk - Oymyakon - Magadan. They experienced the extreme cold weather (-60C) in the coldest inhabited place called Oymyakon (Siberia/Russia) and covered more than 2000 km.

Travel The Road of Bones in Winter, one of the coldest on earth
I travelled with Jegor Makarov, Bolot Bochkarev and two other friends from Yakutsk to near Oymyakom and wanted to share almost 4 minutes of how it feels traveling during the extreme winter on this historical in a negative sense, road - The Road of Bones.
It was constructed in the Joseph Stalin era of the USSR by Dalstroy construction directorate. The first stretch was built by the inmates of the Sevvostlag labor camp in 1932. The construction continued (by inmates of gulag camps) until 1953. The road is treated as a memorial, because the bones of the people who died while constructing it were laid beneath or around the road
