Day 1 of our 10-day Carnival Spirit New Year's Cruise to New Caledonia and Vanuatu. This is our second Carnival Cruise. We did an 8-day cruise in November 2018 and loved it. We knew we'd be back someday.
We embark on the 30th of December 2019. Of course, things don't always go to plan, but when you're cruising, you just roll with it.

Mystery Island & Aneityum - Vanuatu - Carnival Spirit Cruise 2019 / 2020
Mystery Island is a small uninhabited islet off Aneityum, the southernmost island in Vanuatu. Join us as we are welcomed by the locals into a traditional village, and see the way they live. Then, dive underwater as we take in the beauty of the coral reef that surrounds Mystery Island. It's day 6 of our Carnival Spirit New Year Cruise.

Relaxing Sea Day - Carnival Spirit Cruise Vlog 2020 Day 7
Carnival Spirit lays in a course back to Sydney, but it will take us three days to get there. We have a big sleep in and take advantage of a relaxing sea day to recover from 3 exciting shore tours. Harry samples the wares at Cherry on Top with amusing results.
Carnival Freedom 2020 | Cozumel Excursion
It didn't take long for us to agree this was literally one of the best excursions we've all been on either together or independent of our book club. They made it fun, entertaining and we actually learned a lot. We asked for the recipes and have made a few of the meals/margaritas that they made for us once we got home. Such a fun day! It's new year's eve. We kick off with a detailed ship tour of the Carnival Spirit. As we head into evening, we get ready to celebrate the birth of a brand new year. And what a year it would turn out to be!

On our second last sea day on board the Carnival Spirit, as we head back toward Australia, we attend the final Cluedo session, to see if we have correctly guessed the identity of the murderer. We also have some fun in the arcade and enjoy a special guest performer - Miss Houdini. Also, Harry gets to show off his air guitar skills at the comedy club.

With New Year's Eve behind us, we settle in for a little fun on our third day on board the Carnival Spirit. But it seems there's been a murder at sea! That's right. We're playing cluedo, as officially licensed from Hasbro by Carnival. And the clues will be coming all cruise long. Meanwhile, Linda tries her hand at bingo (with a difference) and we celebrate island night.
