The island is home to some of the most beautiful natural sites, including Santa Monica Beach, an 18 km long sandy beach which is known as the most beautiful beach on the island. In the south, head for some of the small and typically Cape Verdean villages or the Varandinha caves, an ideal spot for photography enthusiasts.

Cabo Santa Maria - the wreck of Cabo Santa Maria is one of the most photographed places in Cape Verde.
Praia de Chaves is one of Boa Vista’s most beautiful beaches. About 5 km long, it is lined with beautiful sand dunes. Along the way you’ll come across a large red brick chimney, a remnant of an old ceramic factory and now a symbolic landmark on Boa Vista. Walking northwards along the Praia de Chavez beach, you arrive in Sal Rei, the capital of the island.
Also you can see turtles, dolphins , happy doggos , spiders.

Royal Horizons Boavista je jeden z cenovo najprijateľnejších hotelov na Kapverdských ostrovoch. Ide o veľmi rozľahlý rezort s ubytovaním v domčekoch, ktoré sú rozmiestnené po celom areáli. Pred hotelom je krásna a veľmi dlhá piesočnatá pláž. Zariadenie izieb je jednoduchšie, no areál hotela je veľmi pekný. Hotel sme osobne navštívili.

- Officially the Republic of Cabo Verde is an island country spanning an archipelago of 10 volcanic islands in the central Atlantic Ocean.
- Shipwreck Santa Maria:
Praia de Atalanta is a beach on the north coast of the island of Boa Vista in Cape Verde. It is
approximately 6 km northeast of the island capital of Sal Rei and 3 km west of Vigía. The wreck
of the Spanish cargo ship Cabo Santa Maria, which ran aground on September 1, 1968, is
located here.

around 21 km east of the island capital of Sal Rei. It is the seat of the civil parish of São João
Baptista. 2 km to the south is the village Cabeça dos Tarrafes and 8 km southeast is Ponta
Meringuel, the easternmost point in Cape Verde.
The village has a church of Saint John Baptist. Since 2008, an NGO has been active protecting
turtle egg laying sites on the Porto Ferreira beach, east of Fundo das Figueiras.

is a city on the northwestern coast of the island of Boa Vista in eastern Cape Verde. Sal Rei is the
island's main urban settlement, and the seat of the Boa Vista Municipality. In 2010 its population
was 5,778. The name of the settlement means Salt King in Portuguese. This name stems from
when the island's main industry was salt production.

PRÁZDNINY 2018 BOA VISTA CAPE VERDE
Kapverdy, alebo Kapverdské ostrovy ležia v severnom Atlantiku, asi 570 km od pobrežia v západnej Afrike. Spolu 10 sopečných ostrovov a osem ostrovčekov tvorí plochu asi 4 tisíc km2. Ostrovy boli do 15. storočia neobývané. Objavili ich portugalskí prieskumníci, ktorí tu ako prví založili európske osídlenia v trópoch. Dnes patria Kapverdy k najviac rozvinutým demokratickým krajinám Afriky.
Kapverdské ostrovy tvoria súostrovie v tvare podkovy. Iba 9 ostrovov je obývaných. Ostrovy sú rozdelené do dvoch skupín:
Barlavento – náveterné ostrovy: Antao, Sao Vicente, Santa Luzia, Sao Nicolau, Sal, Boa Vista
Sotavento – záveterné ostrovy: Maio, Santiago, Fogo a Brava.
Najväčší a najľudnatejší je ostrov Santiago, na ktorom leží hlavné mesto Praia. Piesčité a ploché sú ostrovy Sal, Boa Vista a Maio. Ostatné ostrovy sú všeobecne skalnatejšie a majú bohatšiu vegetáciu.Kapverdy majú tropickú klímu, ktorá je však o niečo miernejšia ako na pevnine Afriky. Zmiernenie horúčav prináša okolité more a prúdy Atlantiku udržujú suchú atmosféru okolo súostrovia. Teploty sú celoročne stabilné, s priemerom 26°C vo februári a 31°C v septembri.
Vhodný čas na cestovanie je celoročne. Najviac zrážok za rok spadne v septembri, priemerne 33 mm. Naopak mesiace apríl - júl tú takmer bez zrážok.
