Canadian Rockies scenic drive from Calgary to Revelstoke I Quick visit to Revelstoke NP & Golden BC

Driving to Revelstoke BC on the Trans-Canada Highway 1 from Calgary, Alberta is one of the most stunning drives one can take in Canada. Revelstoke lies 4.5 hours west of Calgary, and the trip winds you through the Canadian Rockies towering peaks and brings you to your destination in the Selkirk Mountains. Along the way, you’ll pass several National Parks and gorgeous lakes including Banff National Park, Yoho National Park and Glacier National Park.

After a quick visit to Revelstoke, Mount Revelstoke National Park and Revelstoke Mountain Resort, we drove back to Golden BC for a quick look at the Kicking Horse Pedestrian Bridge.

LEGENDARY POWDER
We've got that big snow energy here at Revelstoke. With an average of 10.5m (that's over 34 feet) annually, chances are you're going to find some fresh tracks when you visit. We highly recommend having friends on pow days, or you might be in for a lonely season! Keep an eye on our boy Gnorm for the latest accumulation.

BIG MOUNTAIN TERRAIN
Home to the most vertical in North America at 1,713 metres (5,620 feet), Revelstoke is world renowned for its incredible terrain. From wide-open alpine bowls to perfectly spaced glades, Revelstoke's got it all. The real challenge is making sure your legs can keep up!

SMALL TOWN CHARM
It doesn't take long to be seduced by Revelstoke's charm. Over 120 years of skiing history has become part of the town's fabric, creating a community that celebrates winter in all its forms.

The Ultimate British Columbia Road Trip | Vancouver, BC | 1 Day Road Trip

We spent the day on a epic 1 day road trip, seeing the best British Columbia has to offer.

Starting in Vancouver, BC Canada heading 2 hours east we ended up in the town of Hope, BC. A charming community with a quaint downtown.

Next we ended up 15 minutes north of Hope, BC in Yale, BC. Surrounded by tall mountains and against the Fraser River.

We than walked down to Hells Gate. A tourist attraction beside the Fraser River with a museum, restaurant, candy shop, gold panning, a bridge and gondola.

The devastating impact of the 2021 forest fires still haunt Lytton, BC. Shocking to see most of the town completely destroyed a year later.

Lillooet, BC surrounded by mountain and and one incredible view point we first stopped at Seton Lake. An easy spot right beside the highway to stretchy your legs and let the dogs wonder. Just up the road is one of the most famous viewpoints in British Columbia. The Lillooet lookout. A 15 minute hike to the top.

Next we made up some time and finally stopped in Whistler, BC. Here at Green Lake, right beside the Sea to Sky Highway.

Finally in Squamish, BC we had to hit up one of the most famous breweries in the region. Howe Sound Brewing.
