I think the number one question I get asked about my short-term rental investment properties is how I manage them from afar. I might seem like a complicated thing to coordinate on the surface level, but once you’ve dialed in your systems and automation, your Airbnb business can function as a well-oiled passive income machine.
From a weekly standpoint, I’d say I probably spend 3-5 hours managing all ten of my rental properties. Through empowering cleaners, having a roster of contractors and handymen, automatic messaging and dynamic pricing tools, I’m able to run my vacation rental business on autopilot. I’m less in the weeds these days and more an observer from a bird’s eye view.

When it comes to the major cruise lines, there's what I consider the big three -- Carnival, Royal Caribbean, and Norwegian. There are a lot of similarities between those three, but if I'm being honest, NCL stands out as an outlier from the other two.

Enbridge Line 5 Pipeline: Questions and Answers
On November 1, FLOW, Oil & Water Don’t Mix, and a panel of experts held a live webinar, to answer audience questions about the condition of Line 5, current litigation, the proposed oil tunnel under the Straits of Mackinac, and more. We also talked about the actions we can all take to help get oil out of the Great Lakes and prevent an oil spill disaster.
Enbridge’s Line 5 pipeline is part of a system that transports oil from the tar sands of western Canada to refineries in Ontario, using the Great Lakes states and the Straits of Mackinac as a high-risk shortcut. Built in 1953 and designed to last 50 years, Line 5 is now 70 years old and threatens public trust and sovereign indigenous waters and lands, as well as our economy and way of life.

Electrification is bringing new players, business models, and technologies to the automotive sector, with the pace of change much faster than the sector’s typical development cycles. The result is that even as OEMs and supplier ramp up technologies like lithium-ion batteries, changes in chemistry, design and application could upend the supply chain, from material sourcing to battery logistics, aftersales service, battery swapping and recycling processes.
In this special keynote and fireside conversation with futurist and EV and battery specialist, Greg Ombach, who heads research of future technologies at Airbus and has led battery strategy at tier-1s, provides insights into the changing shape of the battery value chain. He explores how key disruptors in battery technology, including lithium-ion phosphate, sulphur and solid state, could impact supply and production.
He also discusses how future mobility will transcend traditional automotive business models, with companies such as Airbus pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with urban air transport and much more.

XTGFAMILY c’est qui?
Nous sommes une famille avec 3 enfants. Julien le papa, Marie la maman, Manon 9 ans, Alicya 5 ans et Alex 1 ans.
Nous avons décidé de sortir du quotidien qui nous enferme et de profiter de la vie.
Julien est conducteur d’engins et Marie Ingénieur dans une société de dépollution. Nos horaire font que 5 jours par semaines nous ne voyons les enfants qu’au plus 3 heures. Comme beaucoup de gens c’est certain, mais ce n’est plus ce que nous voulons. Malgré notre vie confortable, voitures, maison à la campagne, nous avons décidé de tout vendre et de partir.
Depuis de nombreuses années nous profitons de nos vacances pour partir en 4x4 Defender avec tente de toit, puis en cellule aménagée toujours en Defender, pour finir par acheter en juillet 2017 un ancien camion 4x4 militaire de l’armée allemande (MAN KAT) sur lequel nous avons posé une caisse frigo que nous aménageons depuis lors. Au début on pensait continuer à l’utiliser pour les vacances. Mais le rêve de Julien a fini par faire son chemin et c’est décidé nous partons voir le monde.
Les enfants ?8 heures par jour sur les bancs d’écoles c’est fini! L’école se fera bientôt dans notre maison roulante.
Notre objectif partir en octobre 2019 pour l’Amérique du Sud en passant peut être par l’Afrique, puis remonter jusqu’au Canada. La durée ? Le plus longtemps possible!
Mais dans notre impatience, nous n’avons pu nous empêcher de commencer à explorer d’autres territoires. Nous sommes partis en Chine en Hiver 2017 et avons parcourus en camping car 5 états des États Unis en aout 2018.

A gold mine discovery made between 1950 -59 would have an 85% chance of becoming a mine. Today that figure is just 23%.
It is becoming progressively more difficult, and slower, to convert a discovery into a mine. It is readily accepted that transition from exploration company to producer is one of the greatest risks of failure in a mine’s lifecycle, especially with so many projects being of non-investment grade as a consequence of Basel 3.
