In Savannah, in Helen, or as in this year, Pine Mountain near Calloway Gardens. #ilovervlife #callawaygardens #pinemountain Joan and I have been on a nature kick recently. Usually happens every year with everything in bloom and the desire to experience all Spring has to offer after a cold Winter. We visited Callaway Gardens located in Pine Mountain GA after stopping for a week in nearby FDR State Park and Campground. This is a great place to spend a day enjoying the beautiful gardens, bike and hiking trails and most of all, the butterfly house.
Callaway Gardens is a fun destination. Joan and I spent this Spring day walking the many trails and gardens. I wish I had brought the bikes. There are miles of paved trails throughout the Gardens that would have made touring even more fun. Aside from enjoying all the outdoor sites, we visited a log cabin, the Discovery Center and the Butterfly Center. There was so much to do, we just ran out of time to see and do many of the activities offered.
One of our favorites was the Butterfly Center. We had so much fun walking around the atrium surrounded butterflies of all colors and shapes. I had to laugh at my video. While editing, I sounded like a little kid walking around. Needless to say, we had so much fun!
The Gardens offer year round golf, summer has a large beach and pavilion area, in the winter the Festival of Lights is a treat, along with a full calendar of activities from photography, gardening, fly fishing, and a wide ranges of other classes.
Callaway Gardens is a great destination. Hope you get a change to add to you RV travels.

This has to be one of the most prestigious Christmas Village and Christmas Light Displays in 2022. This drive through wonderland spectacular will excite your senses and definitely put you in the Holiday Spirit. Sorry to disappoint you Old Grinch! Callaway Gardens has much to offer, in addition to its Christmas Time celebration. It features bike and walking trails through scenic paths through the forest. Sometimes, you can hear the haunting, but beautiful pipe organ bellowing from the small gothic style chapel deep in the woods. Callaway also is well known for its picturesque flower gardens throughout its properties. It is said it has the largest Azalia Garden on the planet. I hope you enjoy this video.

We spent the night in Pine Mountain Georgia in the Fall of 2021. During our stay, we had the pleasure of visiting Callaway Gardens for their Halloween/Fall Festival event. We didn't have enough time to see even half of the grounds, but it sure was amazing! Here's a brief description from Explore Georgia:

I had an amazing time at the Callaway Garden and Resort I’m Pine Mountain, GA during one of their monthly Wellness Retreats. It was an unforgettable experience from the yoga, guided meditation, journaling, networking and the overall ambiance.
