Welcome to THE SEYCHELLES -- my 139th country!
This tiny African island nation in the middle of the Indian Ocean is most famous for its picture-perfect beaches and world-class resorts. But you all know what beaches and resorts look like... so I wanted to show you the opposite side of the Seychelles -- the local life -- which I came to realize is very minimal. The capital city (town) of Victoria has merely 25,000 people, making it the smallest capital in Africa and one of the smallest in the world.
The Seychelles is also VERY EXPENSIVE, so making this video was quite hard... But nonetheless, join me in my 15th episode of this series to see 'how much you can get with $10 USD' in the Seychelles.

P.S. -- This video was one of the hardest I've ever made. I nearly gave up, as it's been pouring rain all day and it happens to be a national holiday in the Seychelles, meaning almost everything is closed. ????????Phu Quoc Night Market is So Insane
Recently, Phu Quoc Island become one of the most attractive destinations for both inbound and domestic travelers. Millions of visit to this beautiful island each year by its natural and beautiful sandy beaches. It is famous not only by white beaches, romantic sunset and sunrise, green forest and fresh airs, sea activities but also by its busy market at night that make tourist remember about Phu Quoc. Travelers recommend Phu Quoc Night Market should be in your list when visit beautiful island especially for those who love seafood.
Actually, Phu Quoc Island has 2 famous night markets which are both located along Vo Thi Sau street in Duong Dong Town named Dinh Cau night market (the old one) and Bach Dang night market (the new one). They are quite closed to each other which is away few streets from each other only so you can travel back and forward between them. The night market will come alive when the sun sets which opens every night from around 6.00pm to about 10.30pm and it can be flexible due to the weather.
The night market in Phu Quoc shows more than 100 small eateries which are selling available food such as grilled fish/ shrimp, boiled sea snails, cooked oysters, BBQ squids, etc severed with special Phu Quoc fish sauce. All are fresh from the sea to serve tourists. However, if you want to order fresh seafood, they do provide for you in which you can choose the fresh ones then they can cook for you or you can bring back to your hotel’ restaurant have them cooked. 보발롱 해변을 다시 찾았다. 늦은 오후의 해변을 즐기는 이들이 꽤 많아 보인다. 밤이 되자 수많은 천막들이 불을 밝히는데 매주 수요일 밤 보발롱 해변에 야시장이 열린다고 한다. 해산물, 고기 등 그릴 위 먹음직스러운 음식들이 허기진 여행자들의 발길을 붙잡는다. 사람들이 유난히 줄을 선 천막, 무언가를 맛있게 먹고 있다. 가까이 다가가보니 그 모양이 우리의 음식, 순대와 똑같다. “돼지 피에 빵과 매운 향신료를 한데 다 섞어서 가공하면 이렇게 되는 거예요.” 레시피는 조금 다르지만 진짜 순대란다. 세이셸에서 만난 순대, 다들 그 맛에 만족해한다. “아주 맛있어요. 하지만 조금 맵네요.” 저마다 산 음식들을 들고 보발롱의 밤을 한껏 즐기고 있다. 여행자들에게 이 야시장은 현지문화를 직접 느끼는 좋은 장소인 것 같다. “사람들이라고 생각해요. 분위기도 좋고요. 지금처럼 밤에는 좀 더 시원해져서 좋아요. 우리는 점심 식사를 안 했기 때문에 음식을 좀 먹으려고 해요.” “이건 ‘바카’라는 술이에요. 와인 베이스에 사탕수수를 섞어 만든 건데, 아주 맛있어요. 맛이 아주 독특해요. 취향의 차이가 있겠지만 저는 좋아해요. 가끔 마시면 정말 좋죠.” 자정이 넘은 시간이지만, 야시장의 불빛은 꺼질 줄 모른다.
