Motorbiking the Khardung-La mountain pass in the Indian Himalayas was definitely the craziest and the most difficult motorbike trip of my entire life as we got into a terrible snow-storm at the top of the pass and riding every meter became an incredibly difficult thing to do.
However, experiences like this are one of the main reasons I love traveling so much and honestly I couldn't be happier about how this trip turned out. Life's short, there's no time to waste doing the easy thing, hey! Haha :)

Beginning of an EPIC Solo Motorcycle Trip To Iceland - Adventure of a Lifetime [S4 - E1]
August 26th - August 30th, 2022: the beginning of my most epic adventure so far! Traveling to Iceland has been a part of my bucket list for as long as I can remember, and it exceeded all my expectations. In April 2017 I left Australia for a solo trip around the world on a BMW F800GS. I named it “Are We There Yet” because I don't know my final destination or the duration of this journey.
Throughout my journey, I was raising money for a young disabled child in Poland named Franek. Franek was diagnosed with cerebral palsy (weakness of the entire right side of the body) and he will require constant rehabilitation for the rest of his life. All the money raised will go directly to helping Franek and his family so he can lead a normal life as best as possible, so please donate generously:

Leh to Sarchu is approximately 260 km. In between Tanglang La Pass is one of the high-altitude mountain passes in Ladakh located at an altitude of 17,480 feet. Sarchu is a halt point with tented accommodation on the Leh-Manali Highway.

In my travelogue I tell a story of falling and getting up again, of courage and serenity, faith in oneself and other people, empathy, hope and determination. About setting out - but not to learn to fear the world, but to find adventure, friendship and love.
The moment that changes everything can come at any time. For me it's a normal Monday morning in the office when I saw a colleague watering a plant with Evian mineral water. I quit my job, left my comfort zone and set off on a trip around the world.
Just my motorcycle Cleo and me, all alone.
But what do you do when there's a military coup right in front of your window? If your lover turns out to be a Russian sniper? Or if you burn your eyes in the highest altitude desert of the world? You learn your lesson and move on.
The journey takes me past 8,000-meter-high mountains in Pakistan, through temples in India, to the safe shores of Australia, into the driest desert in the world in Chile and Bolivia - and in the end back to Germany. Breathlessly, I let my intuition and instincts guide me, experienced the highs and lows of traveling alone. I begans to see the world from a different angle, and discovered life in all its different facets and forms.

Towards the end of June I met @imran_frozen & @gulzar.himalayas who run an epic company in Ladakh, India called @frozenhimalayas. I pretty much I begged them to take me on this trip. I had been telling myself for years I wanted to do something extraordinary and this was it! 1000km motorcycle journey through Ladakh for 5 days. Pinch me .. this ain’t a dream. This really happened. All those pictures I saw on Pinterest of the Ladakh motorcycle journey was something I manifested for a while!
I still can’t believe what I got to witness and experience the sheer beauty of the most remote and most unforgiving landscapes in all of India.. let alone the entire world. Crossing motorways with elevations higher than 5000 meters.. probably coming close to having altitude sickness. Drinking chai every 45 minutes. Experiencing the most amazing hospitality in home stays and eco hotels along the way.

The contrast between the jaw-dropping views of enormous mountain ranges to the wide variety of traffic on the roads is a very different experience. While riding what seems to be on the wrong side of the road, you are on the constant lookout for cows, goats and monkeys while simultaneously dodging trucks and insane drivers.
