Hallo liebe Camper :)
Am 05.07.2017 haben wir in Schottland den CP Edinburgh Caravan Club Site besucht und dort dieses kleine Video mit unseren Eindrücken erstellt.
Der Campingplatz liegt im Nordwesten von Edinburgh am Marine Drive und ist ein beliebter Platz und Ausgangspunkt für Besichtigungen der schönen Hauptstadt von Schottland.
Insgesamt stehen euch hier rund 170 Stellplätze zur Verfügung. Diese sind in verschiedene, größere Areale unterteilt und allesamt als reine Kiesplätze angelegt. Die Parzellen sind durch schmale Grünstreifen, vereinzelte Bäume und Sträucher von den Nachbarplätzen abgegrenzt. Etwas übertrieben fanden wir die genaue Parkanweisung - auf jeder Parzelle befindet sich relativ mittig ein farbiger Pflock in dessen Verlängerung man sich rechts hinstellen muss. Entweder mit der linken Vorderseite oder der rechten Hinterseite beim Pflock stehend. Falls man das - so wie wir - nicht gleich auf Anhieb behirnt, dann wird einem das an der Rezeption mit Matchboxautos demonstriert und es werden auch Fotos gezeigt :-)
Die Stromanschlüsse befinden sich zwischen den Stellplätzen. Strom wird pauschal abgerechnet; ihr braucht den blauen CEE-Stecker.
In jedem dieser Areale steht ein eigenes Sanitärgebäude, für dessen Zugang ihr beim Einchecken an der Rezeption einen Code bekommt. Die Ausstattung unserer Sanitäranlagen war bereits relativ veraltet und sehr spartanisch, der gesamte Sanitärbereich war bei unserem Besuch aber sauber und gepflegt. Duschen könnt ihr kostenlos. Hier findet ihr auch die Abwaschmöglichkeiten sowie die Entsorgungsmöglichkeit der Chemie-Toilette.
Hunde sind auf diesem Platz erlaubt.
WLAN steht auf dem gesamten Areal zur Verfügung.
Da sich der Campingplatz mehr oder weniger direkt an der Einflugschneise des Flughafens befindet, hört man tagsüber relativ konstante Fluggeräusche. Uns hat das nicht wirklich gestört, da wir tagsüber ohnehin meistens in der Stadt waren und in der Nacht auch kaum Flugverkehr stattfindet.
Der Campingplatz verfügt über keine eigenen Freizeiteinrichtungen. In wenigen Gehminuten findet ihr aber verschiedene Busverbindungen in die Stadt vor, wo euch dann natürlich je nach persönlichem Gusto Tür und Tor für allerlei Freizeitbeschäftigungen offen stehen.
Wir haben für 2 Personen, WoMo und Strom insgesamt 28,60 Pfund bezahlt. Das waren bei unserem Besuch umgerechnet rund € 37,-. Falls ihr keine UK Caravan Club Karte oder so wie wir eine ACSII-Karte habt, müsst ihr 12,- Pfund pro Nacht mehr bezahlen.

Bunree Club Site
Situated on the banks of Loch Linnhe with breathtaking views of mountains in all directions, Bunree must be one of the loveliest sites on the network in scenic terms. You could be forgiven for spending days simply enjoying the spectacular surroundings but there is plenty more to see in the surrounding area. You can take a cable car to the upper terminal (2,300ft) of the Aonach Mor mountain, for fabulous views of Ben Nevis and the whole mountain range, the Great Glen and the islands of Skye and Rhum. Another landmark that is not to be missed is Glencoe while you can also enjoy a journey on the Jacobite steam train from Fort William to Mallaig.

This medium-sized site is a couple of miles from the historic battlefield of Culloden and just seven miles east of Inverness. Site staff members, Ian and Jean Browne, tell us just some of the reasons why members enjoy visiting this great location.
