At first I would like to apologize for the bad quality of the drone Videos. The camera was damaged, it will be fixed for the future. But I still wanted to film something and didnt bring the whole thing for nothing.
In this video I want to show you a cinematic compilation of the activities we did during our 7 days southern caribbean cruise on the Carnival Fascination. This video was fully shot using the iPhone X with the help of the App Filmic Pro.
St. Thomas: 00:00-2:20 - we rent a car and were driving around, independently exploring the island. We highly recommend doing the same, because the island is one of the most beautiful of the cruise and definetly worth to explore it on your own.
St. Maarten: 2:20-3:30 - Horse Back riding (shore excursion: Horseback Riding: Scenic Trail & Sea Ride) and a visit at the famous Maho Beach, watching the planes arrive (on our own)
After boarding your transportation at the pier and take a short drive to the stable’s staging area where you will be welcomed by our hostess and receive information about the park, it’s facilities and the tour. After a short instructional briefing, you will be taken up to the stables to meet your guide. A horse will be assigned to you by your guide. These animals are sturdy, with a good-natured temperament and a steady gait. Familiar with the designated route, these horses will immediately put you at ease. Begin your ride on a rocky coastal trail, the entrance to a protected nature area. Once a cattle farm, it is now a reserve with natural foliage and a variety of cacti. Enjoy the beautiful blue backdrop view of the Caribbean Sea.
The vistas are marvelous and on clear days you can spot the neighboring islands; St.Barths, Saba and St. Eustatius. When you reach the end of the trail, ride your horse right into the waters of the Caribbean Sea. The horses love a refreshing dip in the sea and you will love the thrill of the experience.
St. Kitts: 3:30-5:25 - Scenic Railway drive across the island (shore excursion: St. Kitts by Rail & Scenic Drive) and a visit at the South Friars Beach on our own.
Board a bus at the pier and travel 10 minutes to the Train Station.Travel along the Northeastern coastline where fields of sugarcane stretch from the shoreline up to the mountains. Roll across tall steel bridges and wind through small villages and farms.
See the entire island from the comfort of double-deck railcars where all guests have a seat on both levels of the railcar. Enjoy the upper level’s spacious open-air observation deck with panoramic views. Ride in air-conditioned comfort in the lower level as you gaze through the expansive vaulted windows. Feel the island ambiance with comfortable rattan furniture, complimentary specialty drinks and snacks, island music and a colorful narrative history of the Caribbean. Your experience is complimented by a scenic drive aboard the Scenic Railway’s sightseeing buses along the Southwestern coast. Enjoy the excellent vistas and take photos as you drive past Brimstone Hill Fortress, the British “Gibraltar of the West Indies, the tombstone in Middle Island where Thomas Jefferson’s great-grandfather is buried and Egrets nesting in the trees that looks like flowers on trees. On your scenic drive you can also enjoy the views of the neighboring island of Nevis. Disembark the train and travel back through the islands small villages for approximately 40 minutes back to the ship.
St. Lucia: 5:25-5:53 - Scuba Diving trip to Anse Chastanet Beach and Anse Cochon Beach (shore excursion: Certified Two Tank Dive)
Learn this dive expedition gives experienced divers a first hand look at two fantastic underwater destinations. After a brief stop at the dive shop, you will board a dive boat and take a leisurely cruise along the West Coast passing by a few resorts and fishing villages before arriving at your first dive destination, the Soufriere Marine Reserve. See the gardens of coral and an array of tropical fish, including snapper, surgeon, parrot, and tiger, inhabit this area. After your first dive, you'll return to the boat for a one hour rest period with complimentary refreshments and a light snack. Your second dive will be at a location offering a diverse collection of marine life.
Barbados: 5:53-6:42 - Snorkel trip on a catamaran with open bar to watch some Sea turtles and have a rest at Sandy Lane Beach (shore excursion: Tiami Sail, Turtles & Beach)
Leave your cares behind and sail away aboard a sleek and spacious catamaran. Enjoy Barbados' scenic coastline as you sail through the crystal waters. Anchor in a sheltered bay to swim and snorkel among peaceful families of Green and Hawksbill Turtles. Move on to another bay where you can take a stroll on the soft sand or take a refreshing dip in the ocean. Enjoy complimentary cocktails as you bask in the sunshine or sit in the shade, enjoying the tranquil ambiance and beautiful scenery.

Carnival Fascination Caribbean Cruise: Saint Lucia Marigot Beach & Pigeon Beach Vlog
On this beautiful island of St. Lucia. We headed to Marigot beach & pigeon beach. The people of St. Lucia are so friendly and wonderful people this was one of my favorites of the trip. You will definitely enjoy your time in St. Lucia and even more the people!

Carnival Fascination Cruise 2018 St Thomas and Barbados
Our fist 2 stops were St. Thomas and Barbados. There was significant hurricane damage in St. Thomas that we will show in a future video. We rode an open air bus to the World Famous Mountain Top. The view from there was amazing! In Barbados we went to the Boatyard. We absolutely loved The Boatyard. The beach was beautiful and it included snorkeling. It was a short cab ride from the cruise terminal and it only cost $20 per person. This price included a beach chair and umbrella.

CARNIVAL FASCINATION CRUISE VLOG 2020
THE SHIP- Carnival Fascination is definitely an older ship that could use a makeover. Looking past its aesthetics, it is clean, the workers are friendly and the food was pretty good! Guys Burger joint is a must! The pizza is thin sliced and really good. If you are eating in the Sensation dining room make sure to ask to sit with Rey! He is the best! For the price of the cruise and the ports you stop at, you can't beat it!
ST. THOMAS- In St. Thomas the first beach we went to Lindquist beach. Lindquist beach is breathtaking! It is definitely more of a low key, locals beach. There is no food there but there is a guy selling rum punch and has some beach chairs to rent. The water was extremely clear and the sand was white. We snorkeled right off the beach and saw 2 sea turtles and beautiful fish. The next beach we went to was Megans Bay beach. This beach is a lot more crowded. They have chairs, umbrellas, food and a bar. Overall we liked Lindquist beach a little bit better then Megans Bay but it is definitely worth it to stop at both places.
ST. MAARTEN- In St. Maarten we went to Maho Beach. This beach is known for being right next to an airport and all different types of planes fly extremely close to you as they are landing. It is definitely an awesome experience and you should check it out. You can only rent chairs in the far right and left corners of the beach due to high winds from when they planes land. The beach gets extremely crowded so get there early to secure a spot. If you stop up at the beach bar make sure to get the Guavaberry frozen drink. Amazing!
ST. KITTS- In St. Kitts we went to Reggae beach which is on cockleshell beach. Let me start of with the drive to the beach. It was Beautiful! The green mountains and the crystal clear water is something else! At Reggae beach you can rent chairs and umbrellas. We snorkeled right off the beach and saw starfish and a bunch of other beautiful fish. They have waiters that come along the beach so you can order food and drinks. On the way back to the cruise port a must see overlook is Sir Timothy Hill. This is where you can see both the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea.
ST. LUCIA- In St. Lucia we went to Pigeon Island. First we hiked up to Fort Rodney. This was a relatively short and easy hike. The views at the top are breath taking. After the hike we rented chairs and relaxed on the beach all day. Make sure to grab a fresh pineapple or coconut rum drink from Smokey who is at the beach with his boat!!
BARBADOS- WOW! Barbados is an amazing place. Definitely our favorite island. We went to the Boatyard which is a must if in Barbados. It is a little bit pricey to get in but it comes with a chair, umbrella, free snorkeling trip to a shipwreck with sea turtles and a free drink. This is the most beautiful beach I have ever been to. The clearest water and the whitest sand. Its actually a little pink! The second half of the day we went to Harrisons Cave. You sit in a tram and it takes you through the cave. The beautiful rock formations are something ive never seen before!

Fun in the Caribbean on the Carnival Fascination
We had such a great time. My children, Sharnel, Gary and I flew from Houston to San Juan Puerto Rico and spent the night at the Hyatt Place hotel. We then boarded the ship and headed out that night. We went to St. Thomas, Barbados, St. Lucia, St. Kitts and St. Maarten. We spent the night in Old San Juan, which was so much fun!
