???????? Cairo, Egypt Walking Tour | Historical al - Muizz Street at Sunset [4K HD/60fps]

Today our walk begins on al- Muizz street and then turns into the Khan el-Khalili street market. After exploring the market shops, our Cairo Egypt Walk continues up Muizz street and passed several famous Islamic landmarks.

Al Muizz Street in Cairo Egypt is the largest open-air museum for Islamic monuments in the world, and a unique heritage site that was added to The UNESCO World Heritage List in 1979. The street has borne many names over the centuries, and came to be known as al-Mu’izz only in 1937.

Running the length of Islamic Cairo’s central core, from Bab Al-Futuh in the north to Bab Zuweila in the south, it is one of the most important places in Egypt’s Islamic history.

Al-Hussein Mosque
Qalawun Complex
Aqmar Mosque
Masjid Al Hakim Mosque
Bab Al-Futuh Gate

In addition the impressive monuments scattered along its length, it also hosts a bustling neighbourhood, home to thousands of craftsmen making wares to be sold in Khan Al-Khalili, which marks the streets midpoint. A walk down this street, ending with a stroll through the maze of shops in Khan Al-Khalili, is an essential part of any visit to Cairo.

Our tour starts in the bustling electrical market, where you can find all kinds of electronics, from household appliances to cell phones and accessories. The sights and sounds of this market are truly unique, as vendors compete for customers' attention and haggle over prices.

As we make our way deeper into the inner streets, we'll discover a hidden gem: a classical arcade filled with a few old shops and and quite a view of the city outside. These moments give us a chance to immerse ourselves in the history of these markets within the authentic atmosphere of Cairo experiencing the local culture truly up close.

Next, we'll head up Abd El-Khaleq Tahrwat Street onto Ramses Street towards the iconic Al Fath Mosque, passing by a variety of markets that are open in the area. Cairo, Egypt - Day two in Egypt and I’m ready to stuff my face with Egyptian Food! Inspired by last night’s dinner at El Prince Restaurant I can’t wait to dive deeper into Egyptian cuisine with local friends, and inevitably, learn a lot more about Egyptian culture in the process...

We start with a traditional Egyptian Breakfast at Ful Waheed in the Ramses neighborhood of Cairo, Egypt. Ful is stewed fava beans with tahini, cumin, chili powder, and other spices topped with a generous amount of oil and the option of raw hot peppers and red onions. Served with a ton of veggies, tahini, chips, and Ful Waheed’s famous Shrimp Fries.

Next up, we walk through Cairo’s largest market and most famous bazaar; Khan el-Khalili. This is definitely one of the best things to do in Cairo. We stop for tea at El Fishawi Cafe before lunch.

For an Egyptian Street Food lunch, we go to Koshary Abo Tarek in Cairo for Egypt’s National Dish - Koshary. A blue collar dish that has rice, pasta, lentils, chickpeas (hummus), fried onions, and topped with a seasoned tomato sauce. Koshary (or Kushari or Koshari) is a hearty bowl of carbs that would be enough to eat for a day by itself… we press on!

For a quick mid-day Egyptian street food desert, El Karnak in Cairo serves Combella, an Egyptian food classic that is a delicious combination of rice pudding, Kunafa, Basbousa, mango and strawberry juice, homemade cream, and fresh fruit.

One more tea break at Mohamed Salad Coffee Shop in downtown Cairo, Egypt and then it’s time for dinner at one of the best restaurants in Cairo or Giza.

Hawawshi El Rabea in Imbaba Giza is said to be the best restaurant in Egypt for this traditional Egyptian street food.

Hawawshi is thin, seasoned beef patties wrapped in traditional Egyptian bread and grilled on a flattop. It is served with tahini and vegetables.

The coolest thing about this spot is that they actually own the butcher shop right across the street as well to ensure the freshest, best quality meat in their Hawashi. And the owner Wael Rabe, is meticulous about his craft. (sound bite)

On top of the flying meat patties, they also feature other signature dishes like Molokhia, roasted meat and potatoes, Macaroni with tomato sauce and meat and Kebda, garlic and seasoned Liver with hot peppers, lemon, and bell peppers all grilled up on the flattop.

Of course, we’ll try them all, but no doubt Hawawshi is the star of the show here.

I hope you all loved this Egyptian Street Food Vlog from here in Cairo, Egypt as much as we did making it! ❤️ If so, please hit that ???? button, and leave a comment!

DON'T Film in this Crazy Egyptian Market ????????

I went out to explore the Crazy streets of Cairo, Egypt! I met some lovely people who wanted to chat and take photos with me... and some people who were not so stoked I was filming.

Welcome to my Egypt series. Egypt was never a country I really wanted to go to. But I'm waiting on a visa and I thought I may as well check it out. I didn't have high hopes coming to Egypt. I've seen many creators try and come here and make videos and have gotten hassled for filming by police and citizens. Well ,screw it I said. I don't talk with no police anyways. So I made it my goal to tick as many people off with my camera as I possibly couple (JK). I set off to the centre of Cairo to check out the local market. It was hectic, busy and loud... I loved it! People were very stoked to see me. I couldn't have great conversations because of the language barrier but it was still nice to see so many welcoming, happy faces and take some selfies. Egypt has already passed my expectations (mostly cause they were pretty low). I'm very stoked to see what this country has to offer!

A Look At the City of Alexandria, Egypt

is the third-largest city in Egypt after Cairo and Giza, the seventh-largest city in Africa, and a major economic centre. With a total population of 5,381,000, Alexandria is the largest city on the Mediterranean – also called the Bride of the Mediterranean by locals – the fourth-largest city in the Arab world and the ninth-largest urban area in Africa. The city extends about 40 km (25 mi) at the northern coast of Egypt along the Mediterranean Sea. Alexandria is a popular tourist destination, and also an important industrial centre because of its natural gas and oil pipelines from Suez.

Inside Egypt's Overnight Sleeper Train ???????? Cairo to Aswan, Egypt

????WATCH NEXT: Train Travel Across Russia ►
???? PLEASE SUBSCRIBE, for more travel vlogs ►
???? 15% OFF CUTS Clothing ►

Cairo, Egypt - After a 9-hour drive from Siwa Oasis, Egypt we arrived back to bustling Cairo to take the overnight sleeper train from Cairo Station to Aswan, Egypt.

Siwa Oasis was incredible, one of my favorite places to go in Egypt, but the wild 48 hours left exhausted and ready for a long train journey to sleep, haha!

I should tell you, there is a much quicker and easier way to get to Aswan - via an 1 hour and 20 minute flight that’s roughly the same cost of this train ticket; around $80 US Dollars or about $1,400 Egyptian Pounds - one way. But, we figure the train also saves us the cost of a night stay, and two meals. Plus, it’s just a lot more fun.

*Also, you can take the same train to Luxor if you don't want to go all the way to Aswan. The overnight sleeper train from Cairo actually stops at Luxor Station first before arriving in Aswan.

The overnight sleeper train from Cairo to Aswan is supposed to be a 12-hour journey, but it very often departs late from Cairo and arrives late to Aswan (which is exactly what happened to us).

We booked our tickets at the Cairo Train station in-person a few days in advance. There are websites that say you can book online, but honestly, I didn't trust the information. I would rather go to the Cairo Train Station and book the train ticket directly.

Overall, the overnight sleeper train from Cairo to Aswan was very relaxing and stress-free. The only advice I would give is to ask around at the Cairo train station before boarding to ensure you are getting on the right train.

That's it! If you have any questions about this trip, please leave a comment and I will be happy to help!

I hope you all loved this Egypt Travel Vlog from here in Cairo, Egypt as much as we did making it! ❤️ If so, please hit that ???? button, and leave a comment!

THE COOLEST TOWN in EGYPT ???????? Siwa Oasis Travel Guide

????WATCH NEXT First 24 Hours in Egypt ►
???? PLEASE SUBSCRIBE, for more travel vlogs ►
???? 15% OFF CUTS Clothing ►

Siwa Oasis, Egypt - The urban oasis of Siwa is one of Egypt’s most isolated settlements with a population of about 33,000 people, mostly made of Berbers; an ethnic group indigenous to North Africa, and being so remote, they’ve developed their own unique desert culture.

Almost Every Egyptian friend we spoke with since the beginning of our trip in Cairo told us we should go east towards Sharm El Sheik and Dahab first, instead of Siwa Oasis. They said the mountains are beautiful and the Red Sea beach resorts are pristine and relaxing… but instead, we chose to go West. a grueling 9-hour journey towards the Libyan border all because I saw a photo of place that looked so unique to anything I’d ever experienced.

The ancient Citadel of Shali, rising up through the heart of modern downtown Siwa, tucked away in Egypt’s Western Desert. It looked so different and foreign in photographs and now walking up through here in person proved that unwavering urge to be true.

This fortified city was built by Berber populations in the 13th century to protect inhabitants from wandering tribes.

The Siwa Shali is a Labyrinth of huddled buildings that once rose four or five stories high and housed hundreds of people, and the entire compound is made of mud from clay, salt and rock that acts as a natural insulator from the scorching summer months.

In 1926 however, a three-day torrential rain storm caused more damage than any invader had managed in hundreds of years, and people have since moved out to more modern homes with running water and electricity.

But what remains, is one of the coolest ruins I’ve ever seen.

Along with the incredible Egyptian Food, one of the most popular attractions in Siwa Oasis are the salt pools outside of downtown Siwa.

You see, years ago people realized that there’s a lot of money to be made in the salt trade here in Siwa, and inevitably mines were created to extract the natural resource from the massive dried up salt lakes just outside town.

As diggers dug, the holes would naturally fill with freshwater from underground springs, and the crazy aqua green and turquoise colored pools that would form as a result, are what we came to see first-hand.

As if an isolated community, wildly interesting ruins, and multi-colored therapeutic salt pools weren’t enough, oh yeah, Siwa is also the perfect gateway into the Western Sahara Desert.

We finish this picture perfect trip to Siwa, as per usual, with a meal and a new perspective.

It was easy getting here, but the juice was most definitely worth the squeeze.

I hope you enjoyed this Egypt Travel Vlog from Siwa Oasis, Egypt as much as we did making it! ❤️ If so, please hit that ???? button, and leave a comment!

Cairo as you have never seen it | CITY of the DEAD ???????? vA 12

First I explore the Southern part of the city of the dead, in Cairo, in Egypt. The city of the dead is a cemetery where the living and the dead live together. Then I go to the nearby Friday souk El Gomaa. The souk is really fascinating, bustling with people, and full of all sorts of animals. In the souk, I find some sheep head for breakfast.
Then I keep exploring the souk, before finishing the video by going back to the heart of the city of the dead.

Cairo - Alexandria, Desert Road 2023 - The Roads of Egypt ????????

If you enjoy the video, please like, comment and subscribe, I appreciate it, thank you

Hey folks, driving in Cairo is interesting to watch. It is never boring on the streets of Cairo. For more information subtitles in different languages are available. If you have suggestions or feedback just leave a comment, thank you.

I also permanently displayed the permitted maximum speed. I've heard a lot of complaints about Speeding Tickets. In this way I hope to protect you from possible Speeding tickets. In future videos I will continue this on main roads.

You have to watch out for walking people, taxis, toktok's and especially for (white) microbuses. Their behavior is unpredictable and it can lead to a disaster. Otherwise is driving in Cairo, Egypt a funny and enjoyable thing. Always wear your seat belt and keep to the speed limit.

Alexandria
Alexandria (الإسكندرية) is the second largest city of Egypt and is located at the Mediterranean Sea.
The city is home to 5,200,000 residents. This results in a density of over 4.700 inhabitants per km² with an area of 1.108km².
Alexandria is also the 7th largest city in Africa.
It has the largest seaport in the country, where around 80% of Egypt's foreign trade is handled.
As a major industrial location, it is supplied with oil and natural gas from Suez via pipelines.
Alexandria was founded in 331 BC by the ruler Alexander the Great on the site of the ancient Egyptian settlement of Rhakotis.
The city developed into an important center of the Hellenistic world as well as Roman and Byzantine Egypt.
It was the capital of the province of Aegyptus, later the Dioecesis Aegypti.
Ancient Alexandria was best known for its lighthouse (Pharos), one of the Seven Wonders of the World, and for its Great Library.
After the Islamic conquest of Egypt in AD 641 and with the founding of Cairo, it lost its importance.
At the beginning of the 19th century, it had sunk to a fishing village cut off from the hinterland.
But thanks to the construction of the Mahmudeya Canal and the flourishing of the lucrative Egyptian cotton trade.
Alexandria was able to rise again to an important international trading center.
