This is a video from my first time at burning man, last year, highlighting some of the things I brought.. and why!
Goggles for Burning Man is important, even TWO! One for the day time and one for the night time!

Goggles to protect your eyes from dust storms
CLear and tinted pack:
Tinted Burning Man Goggles:
Container to always have water on you, day and night or bring a camel back
LED Head Lamp (I would even suggest purchasing two just in case you end up losing it)
LED Blinky lights (for your bike and also lights on yourself so people can see you in the dark)
Flashlight
Batteries (purchase extras in case your head lamp goes out)
Dust Masks, Scarves or you can check for sniper scarf I a
Heating packs to put in your pockets at night
Small backpack to put your stuff in when traveling around the playa
Ear plugs
Rug for outside the RV to leave our shoes
A few fold up chairs
Bikes, this is where we got ours, the earlier you pay the cheaper:
Decorations to add to your bike to make it stand out from the hundreds of bike out there along with the LED Blinky lights.
Little first aid kit
A Small Spray (bottle for misting)
Protection from the sun:
High SPF Sun Block
Good Chap stick
Hat or Hats
Sunglasses (bring one’s you don’t mind getting scratched, and maybe bring a couple as back up)
Coconut oil
Moisturizer for the face
Parasol aka
Aloe (in case of sunburn)
What to wear:
People wear all kinds of things from everyday wear keeping it casual to crazy, fun, sexy, fantasy costumes, hippies wear, hipsters, tribal, ravers, and nudist. People even spend the whole year creating their costumes for this festival. So you choose how you want to dress. You can get as creative as you want. It's about ultimate self-expression. The greatest thing about BM is anything goes, time to let loose, no judgment just own it. The thing is whatever you wear makes you feel good, fun, sexy, confident and comfortable. This goes for day and night.

Bring shorts
Shirts (ladies)
Bathing suits
Tanks
Tee Shirts
Dresses
Sarongs
Cold Weather and nighttime wear:
Fur Coat mandatory (Preferably on the inside.) Even better if you can find a long one that goes to your knee or longer. (Check out Thrift stores, amazon, eBay, department stores, etc.)
My suggestion bring a few jackets for different kinds of cold weather
My suggestion wear layers underneath cause you might want to take off layers
Long sleeves
Pants
Long Johns to wear underneath pants
Leggings for the ladies
Leg warmers for the ladies
Long shirts
Some good gloves to keep your hands warm
Good warm socks
Scarves to keep your neck warm
Hats to keep your head warm at night
Costume wear: (you can get as creative as you want.)
Makeup (body paints, glitters)
Eye Jewels to decorate your eyes and face
Faux fur items always look good
Fishnets, cool tights
Funky tops and bottoms
Fun jewelry: feathers, costume jewelry stuff
Funky hats
Think layers here as well
Booty shorts
Lingerie
Wraps like sarongs to go over pants to add as an accident
Gloves: leather cut off kind to lace to knit
Accessories for the hair like feathers, cool funky headbands, etc.
Parasols
Fans (keep cool and decorative)
tutus
Shoes: (Comfortable one are key)
Flip Flops (just in case)
Other daytime shoes: can be boots, chucks, tennis shoes etc.
Closed toed night time just wear shoes keep your feet warm.
***Bring an extra set of clothes and a pair of shoes in a ziplock bag. So you have a clean pair of clothes for your travel home.***
Toiletries Bag -
toothbrush, toothpaste, shaving stuff, Soap, Shampoo, Conditioner.

Navigating the Black Rock Desert
If you have only been to the Black Rock Desert when Burning man was there, here is a set of geographical locations that can keep you located.
Burning Man's Air Ambulance
BLACK ROCK CITY, NV - Burning Man has enlisted the services of Reno-based American Medflight to run the air ambulance for 2015. Owner John Burruel is passionate about helping his fellow burners.
“I started out here at Burning Man in the early 90s,” Burruel said. “I believe it brings incredible things to our community both economically, culturally and even spiritually.”
So far American Medflight has been called into action more than eight times since the festival started. Many of the employees volunteer to work the festival.
“These are my days off,” says Kathy Sullivan, registered nurse. “I am coming out to work and support my company, make sure everyone here has the right the medical care.”
The company sold insurance vouchers for $25 apiece for the duration of Burning Man since a medical flight can cost thousands of dollars. They have sold enough vouchers to provide assistance whether the patient has insurance or not.
